Congrats! That's one of my favorite Valks! Damn, that thing looks nice and expensive (quality). Your pic is fantastic as usual. Pretty cool! Looks like F-16 meets F-5 -

All good! I wasn’t worried about who you were calling what, just sharing my stress free collecting method. Everyone obviously has their own way but keeping a checklist that binds your decision making seems very stressful to me. In my lifetime of collecting, the only time I’ve made a checklist is for comic books that I already knew would come out and even then, it never worked out well. Just let it go!

Yeah, it's all fun and games! I will say, I get more enjoyment out of getting the same Valks, usually in a different color and slightly different style, than I do buying a single version of a new transforming toy for other transforming toy franchises. Something about Macross Valks just speaks to me! -
I'm not waiting like a fool. Plenty of other things to do in life than worry about if some toy will come out. I've survived my whole life without the existence of what toy might or might not come. If they make it, sweet - I'm buying it! If they don't, oh well - money saved! But will I have a big grin on my face if they do make all the toys we're speculating and already teased...You're damn right I will!

I don't know why HMR has expanded beyond Macross but based on the Robot Spirits I have, the Non-Macross HMR are on a different, higher level than RS toys. Dorvack and Mospeada would be cool to see in HMR. Either way, I don't think other releases will make or break Macross HMR releases.

Lol, don’t be silly. That’s crazy talk. -
All good, I get that some people need their Macross fix. Here I was, impressed at how good all the HMR releases are and surprised that the non-Macross ones are in many ways better and it just sounded like an ignorant statement for someone to call them junk.

Wait, people buy more than one of each Macross DX release? -
Anything that you don't collect is junk, LOL ok. Collecting toys is serious business and how dare companies take longer than some people want them to put something out and how dare they put effort into something some people don't collect. Anyways, that HMR VF-1A Hikaru I recently opened is pretty fantastic. I originally had no desire for more valks of lesser quality and smaller scale but they really are a lot of fun. HMR Q-Raus will be great to replace the RD thing I have as a stand in for now.

Oh well, not really trying to convince you. Anyways, your loss, more cool toys for others who enjoy great toys beyond one line. I'll take more Macross HMR all day too!
-
The non Macross releases are some of the best figures to come from HMR or any other toy line. They are a great representation of more obscure mecha with the same (or might I say more) passion put into them as the Macross stuff. A very welcome addition to my collection and a testament to how great the HMR line is to anyone who has them!

Wow, thanks! I would have thought to do it the other way around so thanks for the warning! Ah, I missed that part. Lazy reading on my part. Thanks! I will be taking pics and posting as soon as I get around to opening and then the long process of adding all the small parts. -

Thanks for the compliments and recommendations! I've never had to use decal softener before and this shouldn't be an issue since it is just a smooth flat surface. I think the issue was just me half assing the job. If I redo it, I will post new pics to see the difference. Looking at it again, I think it may benefit from a topcoat if I do redo it so I'll see how it all turns out. -
Nice! Almost time to open some of the extra HMR VF-1s I have!
-
All the other Destroids have been available on clearance so... Anyways, I'm in no hurry. When they make them, I will buy. Until then, money saved!
-
Look forward to seeing that finished!

Thanks! I think I may have just gotten lazy and not pressed it flat all the way around with the qtip. Never used decal softener before but I’ll check it out if I need to. -
That’s pretty much what I said. Other than I still think it’s better late than never. Anyways, doesn’t make a difference to me what people do with their accounts.

Definitely! I have a similar plan that may work better. Will see when I get around to it. -
Yeah, I suck at this but it's still better than nothing. I'll try to stick to straight edge decals from now on.
