I'm not too worried about it either way. I just noticed in one of the Bandai promo pics, it showed a lady holding the figure with a graphic that showed it was 270 mm. So I measured my Yamato to see where that was and it was 270 mm...
-
FWIW, I just measured one of my Yamato 1/48 Valks and it is exactly 270 mm, depending on the antenna angle and leg position so these will probably scale nearly perfectly together. I personally don't care if they are off by a bit.

The only retail sites I know of that list the item before it's open for preorder are amiami and Hobbysearch. They will show the item earlier that day and open the orders at 4 pm (edit: I think HS actually opens a bit earlier sometimes). HLJ has never listed an item before it was open for order as far as I know, including the recent YF-19.

Hope to see the finished work! Sweet! -
Haha, I don't mind either way and have no stake in any business. If Arcadia makes something I like, I'll buy it. If they go out of business, less money I have to spend buying their stuff. It's all good. I don't care how long they take to do anything, in fact, the longer it takes, the better.

Yeah, I know. A friend of mine begged me to sell it to him a couple years ago but nope! Yours doesn't look ruined to me, it looks fantastic! Nice work! -

Nice! LOL! Those are the Hasbro eyes I was talking about. But at least all of those are looking in mostly the same direction. -

I think that's what we were talking about. At least I was. I didn't even know there was a BS version of it. I haven't opened mine yet but I have no doubt it will be more than adequate. -

Yeah, one thing Hasbro has stepped up with is the face printing but they still often screw up the alignment so having a great looking face with googly eyes isn't the best thing. I really don't care too much about matching actor likeliness, just as long as there is character likeliness since in the end, the actors are playing the characters, not the other way around. Nice haul! -

Nice! I haven't opened mine yet but did you see this? http://sp.tamashii.jp/special/sw/lineup_shf.html#shf_leia_hope Now, I'll probably get the SHF and never open the BS version. -
Good point. But Those are considered sold as far as Arcadia is concerned plus their recent sale of "extra stock" on their website which included some of the same items sold out in seconds. I think they can keep putting out the VF-1s they haven't reissued yet and I agree they should try to develop more new non VF-1 molds. As it stands to this day, their VF-0S is still the best Valk toy I have ever experienced so if they can keep up that good work, they don't have too much to worry about.

The fuselage is quite long so it does seem like the figure could realistically fit along with all the mechanics needed. I haven't opened it yet but based on weight and what I can see, unfortunately, I don't think there is much, if any diecast in it. As for Solo, I've been saying that out of the four big movies I've seen recently, I'd rate them like this from best to worst: Solo Ant Man Jurassic World Incredibles All were entertaining and none were terrible to me and none were absolutely amazingly groundbreaking. -

Agree but I'm not disappointed. Anything we don't know for certain like how he died after the projection and what happened the night Kylo slaughtered everyone just means there is room for more movies, shows and comic books. I think it is exactly as it was portrayed though. Luke sensed Kylo turning with an amount of uncontrollable Force that he wasn't sure what to do. He thought about ending it but him being the pansy that he is, pussed out at the last second but too late because Kylo woke up and assumed his own life was still in danger. Anyways, it's all good and I can obviously talk about Star Wars forever but I'm trying not to here. OH yeah, I also got my VF-31C Super parts and my SHF Darth Maul Speeder the other day. Haven't opened either yet but looking forward to it! -
1/48+fp's, 1/60+fp's, 1/72, 1/2k, 1/3k,1/100 and now 1/144

Amazing work as usual @Lolicon! Man, considering Max is my favorite character, I really need of of those. I doubt Bandai will give it to us in their new DX line anytime soon but Arcadia could. -
Or...you know, they can keep doing what they are doing which is selling out every Macross product they release? That has to be good for their business.

Nice setup! Last Star Wars figure I got was the Wolffe Clone I posted a few pages back. I also got this version of Kylo's Tie Fighter fairly recently The figure is more to scale on this one -

Haha, well Star Wars certainly draws out the passion and dissent all the time! Since the conversation started here, I'm going to leave my hopefully final thoughts and responses here. Plus, I haven't had time to take any pics of my new hauls lately. I can say that I've gotten more MCU ML figures that I don't care about but am compelled to buy for some reason. So...Since when has Mark Hamill's opinion on Luke had any influence on the direction of the character? Whatever the case, in the end it was pointed out that he changed his mind about his negative opinion after seeing the last film and we have to take it for what it is. I am probably the biggest Start Wars fan and possible apologist there is but I have never considered or heard of Mark Hamill being a great actor. Which brings me to one of my main points: Start Wars has never been about great acting or bulletproof plots. Luke did baddass things in most the movies he was in but the last one was the most badass. He whined and ate nasty rations in ESB, he whined pretty much all the time. He's not even the most important character of the franchise. Star Wars has always been about fun set in a classic setting and that has been preserved and consistent throughout all the movies. I was against 6" SW figures and coincidentally quit collecting everything around the time BS 6" figures came out. I've since succumbed but I also realize the "real" Star Wars toys to have these days are made by Bandai, not Hasbro. I bought that Kylo Tie Fighter because I saw it on sale for $15 and it looks, yes, badass. OK, sorry for the sidetrack, just felt I deserve to respond in the thread that started the discussion. Move along, move along... -

Luke had one of his baddest ass, non pansy moments in the entire franchise in that movie.
