    That's cool @Slave IV.

These are the only GPK variants I want The Loyal Subjects to make.

I haven't seen that "Where are they now?" version before but I haven't paid attention to GPK since those early sets I had as a kid. Would be cool to get the Godzilla one.

I can't remember if I got any version of AFC F-35 either. I know I have a F-22 or a F-35 and wanted whichever one I was missing.

Is that the "Rolling Surrender" mode?:unknw::D

Haha, could be. To a 5 year old kid (or anyone), imagination is king. These toys are just great however you look at it. He said, “these are the best transforming toys ever!”. Which is what I’ve always said on these forums so after 35 years and another generation, they still hold up.

Nice!!!! I miss my old 1/55's. one of these days when I have more expendable funds I'm going to get some. Jetfire was my very first Valkyrie ever.

Some of them can be found for quite reasonable prices if you search with patience. You definitely need to get some if you don’t have them anymore because they really are the best transforming toys ever made.

  4. I’ve been playing with these toys for 35+ years and never did I realize there was a 4th transformation mode.

My kid figured out this “roller mode” after 15 minutes of playing with them.

Well, shoot. Assuming my printer is still working in October, and that I've completed the orders currently on my waiting list, it sounds like I might need to make a set for this like I did for the non-PF version of the VF-4.

I'm in for a couple sets if you want to print them.

Keep in mind, the Yf-19 is a generation newer design than the old yamato YF-21 mold (2008ish or earlier release?).   For all its age (is it 6 or 7 years?), the arcadia (yes it was arcadia's first new mold i think  in 2014?) yf-19 is still relevant despite the dx chogokin full set release.  ITs just as good, just different slightly aesthetically and that difference has everything to do with the way arcadia likes to mold things compared to bandai.  the old yf-21 wouldn't be up to whatever bandai decides to put out.  it'd need to be redone or updated drastically.

Yeah, well I figure it would be a given that a "reissue" of the YF-21 by Arcadia would have at least minor updates and more likely major revamps like the YF-19 and VF-0.

TBH, that's probably at least one reason they're not. Competing directly against Bandai on a YF-21 release, at current Arcadia prices, would be suicide.

Not so sure considering they just reissued the YF-19 in regular and PF and those are all sold out in a relatively short period after the DX Full Set release.

I don't know if you think this applies to the Arcadia 0S. But I have three with Yamato Ghost's on them (one in each mode) and they have been 100% issue free. Granted, they have only been that way for 3ish yrs???

I did use a teeny tiny bit of Blue Tack in some key spots to keep everything shored up though.

    Interest rekindled😄

An interesting read from CollectionDX regarding compatibility between Macross VF-0 and Ghost from Arcadia and Yamato respectively.

That pretty much settles it for me. Thanks! I’m glad I didn’t win a recent auction for that set now. I can live without it or wait to see if Arcadia ever decides to release a new version.

Adding the Yamato Ghost to an Arcadia 0A feels wrong. You can make the ghost work but it feels like it would break over time. The add-on weaponry basically doesn't work without thickening up some pegs.

I don’t mind using some future to tighten things up with the weapons but the other part about feeling like it will break doesn’t sound good. I guess I could say that feedback just saved me some money but either way, that money is going towards more Macross toys in the end.

    Thanks!

It's not designed to fit, and I think you have to force the canards further than they're meant to go to accomplish it, owing to the narrower body of the updated Arcadia VF-0 mold.

I think some people have done it, but I've never wanted to risk stressing the parts.

Thanks for the info. I just looked it up and the Acadia did even come with adapters to fit it but I guess not ideally.

C'mon now. That's already a given.  Even the ever-cool-looking VF-31A Kairos have it as well. And everyone claimed it's the perfect VF-31. :p

You can message it a little and it goes away, until you breathe on it.🤣

Haha, yeah. I don’t like it but I also don’t mind it too much considering I own every existing DX VF-31 type and have any upcoming ones preordered.
