That’s what I’m going to use my Trypticon for too. Have to find a place by G1 Omega Supreme and Metroplex to put it. Right now, my Gojulas Zoid is standing in. Anyways, I’m not that intent on getting G1 reissues so I’ll be glad if they never come. I’d rather just finish off my GigaPower Dinobot set and I still think MP-13 is the best Soundwave and one of the top three MPs made. -

No argument from me on any of this. I’m going to go return it now. Lol, I won’t return it but I was thinking of putting it back in the box and displaying it that way right after I took those pics. I impulse buy a few Transformers here and there but other than the recent Takara Topspin and Twintwist, they all pretty much suck. The few Hasbro ones I’ve duped myself into getting are trash. I have TT Trypticon coming and I’m seriously going to try to stop myself from buying any more. Masterpiece and 3P are the only ones I want to collect but even those are boring me and I haven’t bought one since MP Sunstreaker. -

Thanks for clarifying! Nice collection! I don’t think I’m going to get anymore G1 reissued because again, reminded of why I quit collecting them in the first place. But I might crack for Dinobots, Soundwave and Shockwave. -

Yep, that Boba Fett figure is pretty much the most well known and sought after Star Wars collectible ever made. I think that one guy in Northern California who has one of the biggest SW collections in the world got robbed by his friend, who tried to sell one of those and got caught. it was something like that. -

Nope, this is the Walmart retro reissue I just got today. And if you look closer att he picture, there are two missile types there and I just learned that because of child safety laws, the fighter mode missiles were elongated to avoid choking hazards. And yeah...after opening this and messing with it, it reminds me of why I quit collecting Transformers in the first place 30 years ago. They are a joke compared with what we got from Macross at the same time. Yep! -

I'm not a fan of any Seeker mold made so far but I saw this today and couldn't pass it up I don't remember the fighter mode missiles being too long on the original. Lol, wtf?!

Got my 31S All looking good! It’s nice to have missiles under the wings (I haven’t taken any of my other missile bearing 31 toys out yet). Now, just need armor packs.

Now I’m wondering...does the entire pod for the SPP-8 and LPP-12 launch and then deploys weapons from front once closer to target? Have we seen this process shown up close in detail in the anime?

The only confusion I have with the big green one being the LPP-12 is that missile is not mentioned in this description: The CHM-2 is listed and by deduction, I’m assuming the fins we see on the following image of the CHM-2 diagram are folded in on the big green missile the toys come with. Plus, this same missile is described and shown in the Macross Mecha Manual for the YF-19. the rest of the payload is easy to figure out since they match descriptions and pictures very closely.

Haha, I just read all that too so yeah, Macross gunpods are a decent upgrade over the GAU-8. The amount of nerd data analyzing the comparisons on that manual is impressive! I just love that gun and the A-10.

Haha, I forgot that in Macross fiction, the firepower of the gun pods is much greater than an GAU-8 so I guess that works. However, specs and physical limitations mean they carry a lot less ammo but that doesn’t seem to be a big issue in the cartoons.

Haha, it really is just a couple bucks but every penny adds up! Hopefully it stays around 111-112 for a while because I have a big shipment I’ve been meaning to pay for but caught up in paying for preorders.

Looks like the exchange rate is close to 112 like I had hoped last week. I just paid for mine and it’s probably a good time to do so if you are playing the exchange rate game. Or wait a bit to see if it does crack 112 (or hopefully more).

It’s fine if you don’t see the relation, it really doesn’t matter to me either way who gets it, why or what Bandai is doing with the HMR line. If they make more, great, if they are done, oh well. I was originally just joining in the conversation because people are worried about it so I suggested some possible reasoning. To me, the DX Mazinger Z release is very similar to the current situation we have with the DX VF-1.

While they might be mutually exclusive, it doesn’t make sense for a company that is about to release one of the biggest deals ever for a franchise to dilute the market or use resources towards something similar but lesser. When DX Mazinger Z came out, there were no SOC releases within about 6 months near it and two years before they released another Mazinger Z, which was a reissue/repaint.
