I haven’t messed with any of my YF-19s in a while but not sure what you mean when you say gapless. If literally, Arcadia Valks usually have much better fit with little to no unsightly gaps. Bandai Valks in general tend to have wider tolerances that leave gaps and parts that don’t fit or tab quite as nicely. Anyways, sounds like you made your choice and it was probably a good one if you had to choose one. That’s what I would have done if I had to choose. 

You didn’t mention budget so the only correct answer is to get both. I have both and I personally like the Arcadia one better overall and I typically feel Arcadia makes better products. If deco matters, the DX has a lot more tampo details than the regular Arcadia release but the recent Arcadia Premium Finish release has almost as much tampo (some feel DX has too much) and panel lining.

Good to know. Based on what I’ve seen, they should be by far the best stands available now that Yeti is dormant.

Yeah, I did not think I would like them or want more but I'm pretty impressed and hope they DON'T make too much more because I don't want to deal with that many figures, lol!

Do you have any Yeti Stands to give an opinion comparison? I know these stands are thicker overall.

I also just received and opened  my S7 Joes and holy hell! I’ve always been about the comic and toys all day over the toon but these things just opened up a whole new level of giddiness I didn’t know I had in me. 

 

I’m just not sure how it gets any better than this!

I like these so much I’m about to order Duke and anything else I didn’t already have ordered just because.

YEP! Just a warning and I think it is mentioned on the site, the tolerances are pretty poor for most joints so that’s why they ended up refunding the original preorders and reduced the price for those that still want them. All the ones I got are good enough to pose as I have them and I’m sure I could tighten them up with Future if needed but didn’t feel the need to. Letter, when I get space for a proper Mospeada display, I’ll probably be able to play with them more and then I’ll Future them up. 

Got one of these little guys recently and liked it so much I had to pick up two more. 

It helped that three cost the same as they originally would have cost for one. Props to MEP for the integrity to not sell them at full price when he found their fit was not up to par but they still look nice. They even come with micronized yeti style stands. 😁

Cool, thanks! Like I said, I don't ned perfection here as it is just going to be a bonus display piece for me. The figure isn't transformable since the legs are only attached by pegs in fighter mode so I just need it to look cool sitting on landing gears.

I got it from HLJ. They were excellent in helping me out by contacting Bandai and getting a replacement figure for me.  Does the HM 1S head fit the HMR in any way? I could just use sticky tack since it won’t be transformed at all. Even the grey head could work since it’s tucked below and will mostly just be there so I can see the lasers poking out underneath.

Just to clarify, I didn’t get multiple bad copies. The replacement provided for free just included what I needed to have one good complete figure. It’s a bonus for me to be able to use the original broken figure to display in fighter mode since HMRs come with enough alternate parts to piece it together. 

To all you customizers, hoarders or whoever might have an extra HMR VF-1S head or any variant head that will fit this, can you help me out?

Mine arrived with the legs broken off at the hips and I was lucky to get a replacement body with good legs. I am able to peg the legs of the broken one in fighter mode so it gives me a good reason to display it with the landing gears in fighter mode but it is missing a head so there is a big void there. If anyone has a head I can use to fill that space, that would be fantastic! The replacement was also missing hands (no big deal) and the landing gear covers on the legs which is why I finally have a reason to use the landing gear parts. 

Yeah, looks like they beefed everything up. I'll probably order a set when they come available again but also curious what @ChaoticYeti thinks of this or if he just doesn't care about any of it anymore?

Arguably, the enemy mecha and 1As are the best stuff from the HMR line (+ the Destroids).😆

As other people mentioned, economies of scale means Macross items are more expensive to begin with in order for the manufacturers to make desireable profit at relatively lower quantities. Lower quantities means items are more scarce so aftermarket prices also tend to go up and much higher than a lot of other products because there are only so many to go around for Macross collectors who can also me some of the most fanatic.

3. Yes, it does. On that note, not sure if I'm doing it wrong because I haven't messed with it much but I haven't found a secure lock in for the chest panel in battroid mode but the shield does extend and fully cover the canopy.

And every time I see that stand with basically a mechanical arm shoved up the rear of a Valk, I wish Arcadia would release their clear stand with storage compartments.

I gotta agree with @Lolicon. 

Early on when I started collecting valks, I thought I'll then get some companion character figures to soften up all the mecha display a bit. Fast forward to today, I think the 'some' quantity of figures could be as many as the valks  This especially with Sheryl & Ranka, as there seem to be near endless figures made of them. Till today I keep discovering ones I've never seen before.

I didn't get the newest Megahouse Basara & Mylene figs, as the price of figures have greatly increased these days. But one of most recent figure acquisition from YAJ would be of this Sheryl:

 

I don't buy too many statue figures but that is one I had to get and finally got one last year.
