  1. They haven't announced the Scout yet so there is still hope for you!
  2. Yeah, I was originally going to pass on HMR completely...until I saw the Regult. Then after I got it in hand and was blown away, I got all in on it. Gotta have some Valks to go with those sweet mecha which is one of the best parts about the line to me...display options!

Not exactly the same thing but both designed by @Saburo
  4. You got your answer above and just to add, Revo made some as well in Battroid mode. But our discussion was mainly about the non-transforming mecha in the HMR line...The Destroids and stuff from other series.

Please, no more jinxing us on this.
  6. Most definitely! However, I’m only referring to the HMR line when I say I prefer the non transforming releases though. A big part of it what I mentioned before about the extra effort they seem to put in them. Another big factor is that as good as the HMR get, they aren’t beating 1/60 or 1/48 versions from Arcadia or the DX line so they got that to go up against too. Also, there isn’t really much non transforming stuff to compare in other lines. Another big plus for HMR overall. I’m the end, I collect way too much stuff, lol!

It’s very good quality and fits nicely. Not quite as perfect as the official GBP but that thing is basically perfection. The backdrop, stand and extra parts for the VF-1 it comes with are great bonuses.

I’m not sure what @jenius mentioned to you and you should definitely consider it strongly but I know of no issues with breakage on the Arcadia VF-1S. There are definite issues with the 0A and 0D that came before but those issues were addressed, resulting in what I consider the finest Valk toy made and just recently barely edged out by the new DX VF-1. Some people did mention micro cracks appearing on the wrist but only cosmetic and no functional effect. I’ve had mine open sinc day one and it has mostly been holding a relatively heavy gunpod and no sign of cracks. It seems to be an uncommon issue and even if there, a non issue.

Nice way to mention the 0S, haha. If that other thread was asking for the best Focker period, without a doubt, it would be the Arcadia 0S. Such perfection.

Paying around $200 for the HMR makes a lot more sense to me than paying over $100 for that Toynami Box.
  11. LED strip lighting is the way to go. Very easy to setup, quality light, easy to use and low heat. I would recommend you look into the color temp of the lights you get and the series numbers are based on the size and type of LEDs to get you different amounts of light, mostly based on the size and amount of LEDs per foot. I prefer daylight color temp but also like the option of the color changing LEDs.

Yeah, you can combine shipping and once you get the final invoice, you can ask for different options. Just note that you can only combine items from the same store (stated in the listing). I always choose the cheapest shipping (SAL) personally since I see no point in paying more to end up with the same thing.

As long as I get what I paid for and I even get to pay the least for it, I'm all good with waiting. NY saves me tons!
  14. Nice! I stick with clear for my main HMR display too. I would keep the others you have around because stands are always handy. Extending the height is definitely nice, you just have to balance it well and be careful. I had a hell of a time with my setup and took a while before I could get everything placed the way I wanted without knocking something else down. I can say, HMR are very well made...I dropped a few figures several times and some from pretty high up onto hard floors and no issues other than collecting the pieces that fell off. Nice to see a bunch of us are building up a collection of these things. I'm limiting myself to F-14s and A-10s for now and if I can get some of the new stuff (F-22, F-35) and some Migs/Sus, I'd go for those. If they make F-86s though, I'd be all in.
  15. Sweet! I don’t have the problem you mentioned with any of my stands but sounds like a job for Future (or any other acrylic based polish) Muahahahaha! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Thanks! You are the ultimate 1/100 enabler! By the way, vol. 34 will be a Tornado. I will most likely pass as I really can’t get too deep into this.
  16. Just got and opened another one of these things. Easily one of the best deals in toys today. Such great detail and quality for about the price of a Hasbro action figure.

Haha, I was just stating my thoughts on the matter. But I guess this is something to be worried about: Lol,I hope not.

Not worried at all about NY delivering the Armor Parts. They still have preorders open at original price which means they must be confident about their stock.
  19. Takes 1-2 months for me, tracking works fine but I don't bother checking it often, Just let it show up when it shows up, insurance is included but limited, again I don't pay attention or care about insurance, best for big, heavy items or multiple items. I always ship anything with ferry as long as the price is cheaper. The $10-$20 or more I've saved more than covers any insurance that I would ever need to use.
  20. Best shipping to me is the Ferry option NY offers. For anything bigger than a single or two small action figures, it always saves me money and I get the same item. Just takes a month or two.
  21. Yep, if it makes anyone feel better, I’ve been at this for a while and consider myself a seasoned veteran at getting preorders and I still don’t have a DX VF-1S secured. I had a chance at NY’s first round of markups for around 24,000Y but I refuse to pay that kind of markups so I’m taking my chances that I can get one between now and sometime shortly after release. May the Force be with me. I think the current markup at NY is an absolutely more sane way to go if you want to guarantee that you secure one but I’m stubborn, lol!
  22. Just to clarify, NY will markup after a certain initial preorder amount is reached. Before that, they always have the lowest price. So depending on how popular, and most Macross is popular relative to the amount produced, it’s best to get in early. @sqidd, you got the best deal on the SSP and if you want to have SSP for any other later release, you should order however many you want now. Those being Tamashii Web Exclusive releases mean they will never be reissued in the same form again. So unless they decide to release a Valk with SSP included or some different color/version of the SSP, this is the only chance to get them. As for the Valk, original preorder price was a bit over 16000 yen at NY so that gives you an idea how much cheaper they can be compared to everyone else if you get an order in time but also shows how much they markup if you miss out.
  23. Wise move. No problem and congrats, I think you'll be a happy camper.
