  1. That looks bad ass! I was waiting for someone to post gerwalk pics.
  2. Yes, it comes with the typical Metal Build/Metal Composite type adjustable stand with model number and specs printed on it.
  3. I didn't "need" it either but as any kind of Gundam fan (I'm a very light Gundam fan), I feel that getting it puts a cap on my Gundam collection so I never need another one or a RX-78-2 again after I get the two of them together in Metal Composite form. Of course, they announced the CF green version so after experiencing how great this one is, I'll "need" one of those too.
  4. Nice pickups and displays! Another shot of this guy since I just got back into the office to be able to mess with it again. Locked and loaded!
  5. Sorry, I meant to give you a comparison pic a while ago but just got around to it. They are close but I'd say the Valk is slightly bigger.
  6. Sorry, but having too much fun with this thing

    Hi-Metal R

Max TV 1A and DYRL 1S All day!
  8. Man, this is starting to get scary but I’m going to stay optimistic and see how it goes when I get mine.
  9. Then you are like me and have to settle for the Hasbro Vintage or Legacy collection releases every other year. .or wait a minute, I do recall Bandai also made some Chogokin Star Wars vehicles or was it just something they teased? Don’t remember but probably worth looking into. That Mad Max remake was one of the few great remakes. So Pacific Rim, Godzilla, maybe Ready Player One? Yeah, a good friend offered me some decent cash for my Falcon. I had to turn him down. I can never sell something I only have one of, especially that piece. If I had two, yeah he would have got it and I would have made a profit and we’d both still be happy campers because I think it’s worth double what he offered now.
  10. Still not bad. I would have bit at that price myself had I not known about the even lower price. Amazing job again! That Legacy Falcon is one of my prized posessions. Still need to open it someday.
  11. Lol, shows my attention span. I just saw the quoted pics of detailed SW ships so assumed they were the X-Wing Game versions. That is sweet work!
  12. There are Bandai kits if you have the time, patience and skills to make those to the level you desire. Never a fan of Voltron but as a fan of bad ass, quality toys, I had to get this. Not regretting it at all.
  13. Best toy ever huh? OK, I can buy that. Still not my favorite but it's hard to argue against the execution. Definitely the best combining SOC I've expereinced.
  14. Those look like the models from the X-Wing Game: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=star+wars+x-wing+game&i=toys-and-games&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
  15. Nice! I've been watching that thing for months. There were stacks of them at all my Walmart's at full price. When it went on sale for $19, they all disappeared. I need it to go under $30 on the website before I'll bite.
  16. Good man! now you actually “need” one of these to go with it. https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1118521468&ref=list&keyword=RX-78-2&lang=en Consider them “arch enemies”. If it matters to you, this is the latest version of it that was released same time as the Zaku you just bought. https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/27634-gundam-fix-figuration-metal-composite-rx-78-02-gundam-40th-anniversary-ver-.html Mine is on the way.
  17. Haha, then MB/MC is definitely for you. I added some more details to my post above that you can refer to.
  18. Yeah, all of the above and basically the granddaddy of the “real robot” genre. If looks are all you care about and would like to save some money and space (depending on how many you buy), I recommend you look into the Robot Damashii line which are smaller, mostly plastic versions of Gundam suits. In your terms, Metal Build And Metal Composite are comparable to DX or Arcadia from Macross and Robot Damashii is comparable to Hi-Metal R. All great figures, just different size and level of commitment. If you read my recent posts about how I think the non-transforming figures are the best in the HMR line, you can kind of apply the same logic to MB/MC. Since these figures don’t transform, they put a lot more thought and resources into the engineering...with stuff like metal skeletons and panels that slide and fold away into each other with silky smoothness to accommodate the incredible articulation they have.
  19. You are in for a serious treat if you have not yet experienced Metal Build or Metal Composite figures (or even if you have). This is only the third one I have in my collection and I’m not a big enough Gundam fan to get anything but some favorite/classic/key figures like this one. The MB/MC is what most consider the finest line of non Super or Transforming Robots ever made. The engineering and overall quality are are top notch. Haha yeah, so true! And Thanks!
  20. Didn't have time to do anything but take the figure out and take a couple shots but what a magnificent piece!
  21. LOL! I'm definitely a beliver of the shrinkwrap to a board method though. After seeing so many packages shipped that way come with the contents safe inside, seems to be working well. HLJ also does this but their boxes are usually also more sturdy.
  22. Thanks to everyone sharing all the pics! Looks excellent! I look forward to getting mine.
