Wow, that is a pretty sweet custom....did someone do a custom to make it transformable? It looks like the same model, but can swtich from Fighter to Gerwalk mode. That is really nice regardless...Thanks for the pictures, with that I can really see the transformation, although i think now it has to be one of the coolest designs that Kawamori has come up with...too bad it is Anti-UN...LOL Twich

Have I walk into the wrong Macrossworld?
twich replied to Beware of Blast's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
Yellowlightman and Exo, there are others here that agree with your thoughts. I have been a part of this board for quite a while, but I rarely post....the reason being is because of people just like Duke Togo, who seem to enjoy striking out against that which they do not like or share the same opinion. I always enjoyed the rare gifts that were Nanashi's posts, but now I guess we shall be deprived of them....Thanks! Also, take a look at his site now, it is just a picture, no more links to anything, so I guess that we can say goodbye to that reference for Macross material...now how much of a stretch is it to assume that one day DT might do the same to Egan Loo? Then we would not have anything. I just think that maybe we all should be thankful for what Macross we have and not whine and bitch about those who bring it to us. Twich -
sounds cool to me, I dont know why, but anything in DTS is gold to me. Twich

Thanks for the pictures, that helps a bit, and yes, just like the VF-19, there is anime magic involved. Twich

Okay, I have done a search on the forums to see if this was brought up before, but I did not find anything..... So, here it is....How does the SV-51 transform? I have looked at the Macross Zero OVA, but the action is too quick and is usually obscured by the wings "Flapping" So, where are the arms stowed? on some of the model convesions, I have seen winglets or stabs on the arms, on others, I have not...what is correct? The two vertical stabs that are on ther rear and dont appear to be on the legs. I have also heard reference by Graham and others of "Line-Art" Can someone post some pictures of this line art and the transformation sequence....damn, if only we had Macross Zero Design Works to reference.... Wow, that last one was sweet! Can you do anymore of the Macross Zero mechs in Battroid? Isa that CG? Or is it from a model? I really like it, keep up the good work man, this is awesome! Twich

I think that we are led to believe that his is the only one, if you remember from the Mini, all of the Mk7's were destroyed by the cylon control Voodoo ray, but since Apollo was flying his fathers restored Mk2, his was still in the ship. Also, like in Macross, I think it is different so that you can see who is who, Apollo is the main type character, so his ship is different from all the rest so he stands out. Maybe this sounds naive, but does anyone else see the parallels between Galactica and Macross? Lone Ship/Fleet against an unexhaustable enemy, basically they are/become the only humans left alive, They are fighting for their lives on a daily basis. I dont know, maybe I am reaching, but that is what I think. Twich

Color me weird, but I think most if not all of the valkyries that are in Macross are awesome, and I would want with all my being to have toys of all the Macross mecha. Especially the VF-0S/D/A SV-51 DD/Nora Type and the VF-4G...now if I was rich, I would wish for perfect transformation 1/48 versions of all of these toys....but I would be happy with anything right now. Alright I have a question, my cockpit is stuck in the down position, What is a good way to get it back up? I dont want to break anything and I am displaying it in Gerwalk mode...so any helpful suggestions would be great. thanks Twich -
Muechendising, Muechendising, where the real money from the movie is made.....Spaceballs the toilet paper, Space Balls the Flame Thrower( the kids love this)..... Sorry, there just seems to be quite a bit of merchandising for this movie, like applejacks? I dont know, I guess that it just seems rather strange, but hey, it's for the children. Twich

I think that it is an absolutely lovely design, and I think that the SWAG energy conversion system makes it so that it isnt so weak. It is just as believable to me as the VF-22S or any other Valk for that matter. Also, as far as capability, it is far better suited for combat than the VF-0. Personally, I love all the designs from Macross Zero, and I am waiting with baited breathe for toys to be produced from this series. So I guess to each their own, you dont have to like the designs, I happen to like them quite a bit, but that is me and I dont speak for everyone. Twich

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread

I got my VB-6 a while ago and have had no problems what so ever, although I have not tried Destroid mode yet, I have done shuttle mode and Gerwalk mode. I am amazed at the toy and just how huge the thing is....also did anyone notice that the 30mm gun is on the toy? It is only a little black piece molded to look like a gun barrel, but I think it is there. I hope that Yamato does continue with their Macross Collection, I am eagerly awaiting the MAcross Zero line and any future VF-X2 toys that they might produce. I am going to keep an optimistic vibe going for this, and hopefully I will be rewarded for my patience. twich -
Well, unless I hear it directly from Yamato...I will still keep up my hopes for a 1/100 VF-0S and subsequant models and maybe some enemy mechs too! I know they are not perfect, but they are better than nothing, and I for one am quite happy that Yamato are making even these, Macross Zero mechs are quickly turning into a favorite of mine, so any chance I get to have a toy of it would be awesome. Thanks, that clears up my ignorance. Twich

Umm forgive my ignorance, but what is a mook? Do you mean Book? Or is it a special designation for an animation book about the series? I am not trying to be a wiseass, really. Twich

I have played a little bit of this game, and I have to tell you, it is quite awesome! I really enjoyed the control scheme and the inventory system.....(Granted I have only played an hour.) The graphics seem to be quite nice thus far, on par with the remake of the original Resident Evil. The Villager(zombies) are really much smarter then in previous titles, they chuck things at you (Axes, scythe's, pitchforks) and they gang up to try to corner and decimate you. All in all, I am really rather impressed with this game and I am looking forward to playing this game to the end! Twich
-
Well, I played it and beat it.....I have to say that I was very disappointed with the title in that the end sucked ass, in my opinion, plus I didnt get my lightsaber constructed until I was level 15, my ultimate level was Level 16 Jedi Guardian, Level 10 Jedi Weapon Master. I was kinda disappointed in the character development with regards to the rest of the crew, by far a substandard game compared to the original. But that is just my opinion, but I am a huge Star Wars freak, and I didnt think it lived up to the name of Knights of the Old Republic. Twich

Just got mine from Toy-Wave and transformed it.....WOW, it is freakin' Huge! I never realized just how big this thing was until just now, I am very glad that Yamato decided to make a toy of this, and I really am looking forward to other toys from them for Macross. -
Any more wallpapers? I am still really looking forward to some Hasagawa model boxart quality pictures of the VF-0 and the Sv-51, as well as some VF-19 and VF-22s action. Thanks twich

Well, Toy-Wave just sent me notice of shipping of my Koenig Monster. I guess, based on the email, that I will receive it within 10 days. I am really looking forward to receiving it and seeing what it looks like. Twich -
It seems that we may have to define our terms here.....if I am not mistaken, The VAB-2 is really not a "bomber" per se, it is a missle platform. Having 100's of short range missles that can fire....I dont know if perhaps it would have bomb bays, like the Tread fighter from Mospeada....in fact it might be better to equate the VAB-2 with the Tread.....a heavy variable fighter, with large size for larger missle capacity. Correct me if I am wrong here. Twich PS-Nanashi, when is the site going to be accessable? I am looking forward to your site going up.

Yeah, but I am really looking forward to the toys for MAcross Zero. And I dont know what it is about it, maybe it being done in CG, or what, but I think that there is real possiblility with Macross Zero toys being a huge hit. So here is hoping that Yamato releases that damn things soon and keeps them coming. Twich
-
Who is to say that it doesnt carry internal weapons on par with the arm lasers equivalent to the VF-22S or the VF-19(Which I know are in the wing root). Also take into account that the VAB-2 has 4 engines, not 2 as do all other valks, take into account that it is rather large, I dont know how many are needed to fly it, but you have to imagine at least 2 if not more, so more people, more weapons can be individually controlled. Also, it has to be pretty heavily armored being as big as it is, not as much as the Monster or Koenig Monster, but still more than the average valk would carry. We see something similar to it in Macross 7, and look how strong that craft was, and all the weapons systems that it carried, granted the Varuta tended to put a heck of a lot of weapons on their valks, but still, if it is based on the design, there is no reason to assume that the UN Spacy could not make it just as heavily armed. is this going to be an item that the regular public can buy? Or is it going to be a wonderfest exclusive? I think that thing looks quite nice, and would really like to get one. If anyone going to the Wonderfest could score a supply, that would be awesome! Please let me know. twich
