If you get On Demand and can stomach the english dub, Anime Network is running Vol. 1. I watched it yesterday and as far as subs go it not the worst I've seen.

I think the real problms are cheap materials and that it was copied from a model. Models arent meant to be handled. Upon inspection of the hand it seems that the fit of the thumb hinge was bad causing a pressure to create stress crack where the pin goes through the "knuckle" joint when I unfolded it. The hands seem to be made of incredibly brittle plastic. the other hand broke at the pinky edge of the finger joint as well. Since were making a casualty list I might as well tell you that the ratchet mechanism is broken in the left shoulder as well. On a good and bad note I dissasembled the right forearm and discovered the reason for the floppyness. There are two rubber washer thingys that go over pegs on the upper arm and into slots on either side of the arm. The slot on the outer arm piece open into the space for the tail fin and the rubber piece goes through when you extend the arm. I took a pic in case you guy want to try and fix yours.

The farting thumb just fell off of the left hand while it was just standing there on my desk. The plastic on this thing is crap. I guess Toynami has never heard of POM.

Well after spending some time with it my opinion has changed. This toy is a big steaming pile of baboon poo. I've been treating it like a model but still every time I touch it something breaks. I intend to write Toynami and give them some unkind customer feedback.

Got mine today. #01831. It's OK. My only gripes are with the engeneering and not QC. None of the parts seem to fit together properlyand fighter mode looks like complete ass. I'd say it's equal to the 1/60 Yamato in floppiness. My arms aren't loose but the whole nose section flops all around in soldier mode. I didn't even try opening the landing gear or leg missile hatches. Since the hinge on the senor door already broke after opening it once I decided not to mess with the other hatches. While I don't regret having bought this one, I don't think I'll bother with the rest.

Click on the steaming fish head instead.

Looks more like swoop than Overdrive to me.

Looking at the lineart a few pages back the feet appear to be about the right size but the heels look like they're supposed to retract.

The Harrier may be capable of all of these things but is the average pilot?

part of me thinks that the over sized toes may have something to do with the alpha beta link up mechanism. I think it may have something to do with balance in armo-diver mode.

Push the cover in at the bottom and it will create a gap at the top you can get your fingernail under to pull the cover off.

I'm just guessing though since the TV series is so rife with errors it's hard to tell what Kawamori's original intent was.

It doesn't make sense for it to split in two. There's nowhere for it to go. The chest piece on the 1D lacks the cut-out that the one seaters have beneath the head for the express purpose of providing enough space for the longer heatshield.
