Bears are something I know a little bit about. 1,600 lbs is not that unusual for Alaskan or Russian brown bears. The thing I find hard to swallow is that it was eating people he must of been hella hungry. Brown bears will usually ignore people unless they threaten them. It's the little 350 lb black bears that'll eat your ass up. The bear in that pic isn't any bigger than this one killed by the Alaskan Game management unit.

I don't think it would have fared any better in Nam than the Phantom. No guns, they scapped the 4 20mm cannons and the same craptasic missiles that couldn't hit the braod side of a barn from the inside. Now if I may kick it old school for a while, how do you think the F4U would do against the P-51D? I assume my M-30 you mean mini-30. They're chambered for the Soviet 7.62x39 mm. I have a 14 and a 30. they're not the most accurate guns in the world but they're OK. The 14 is the better of the two. with my 14 I can pick up any old 55 grain .223 and it'll function just fine but the 30 is really picky and jams up with certain brands of ammo. Both of my minis are from the early 80's so maybe the newer ones are better but I doubt it.

I'm 34. I "skated" back in 1985 in high school. My knowledge of skate stuff begins about 84 and ends about 87. There is such thing as selling out, the problem is people today don't notice it because everyone has sold out. About the only "culture" that exsists that has not been permiated by corporate greed and finegaling has been the Goths and they are on the doorstep of corporate takeover thanks to joints like Hot Topic and the like. Back when I had a board, a Vision shirt and an attitude you had to dig deep and look long and hard for skate stuff. It was a rebel set back then, underground. Ever since the '90s and the coming of the X Games skating has become so corporate that they might as well be on wheeties boxes. No offense but when you pimp product for someone... anyone... you are a sellout. The sad thing is we are all sellouts to some degree. Just remember dude, skateboarding is not a crime.
