Dang - wish I saw that NY listing first. Pre-ordered from Ami this morning and don't want to risk getting my other pre-orders with them cancelled. Guess I'm stuck paying the increased price.

Thanks for posting this. It may not make a difference in the end but it's nice to know that they are even asking and looking to branch out to overseas customers for p-bandai stuff.

I'm definitely not sold on it from those pictures. I can deal with the lights. Yes you are paying for the gimmick, but if you don't like it you can leave it turned off. I can even deal with some of the inaccuracies. What I can't deal with is the color scheme (although sh9000's post gives me some hope) and the lack of surface detail on the 'arms' and 'legs'. It's pretty sad that a 1/4000 kit has more detail than this. Hopefully these issues are due to it being a prototype but for now it looks like a toy and won't be added to my collection.

Oh wow, thanks for pointing out that sale. I haven't been in a big hurry to pick them up since they have been available forever at reasonable prices. But at that price... into the cart they go. -
Same here. Sure it's nice to get a little background on stuff but for me it's like the YF-30 and YF-29 Perceval. Never played the game. No intention to play the game. No idea what happened in the game. But I loved both designs and had to get them. They are still 2 of my favorites.

Same. I know not everyone agrees but my life is much better finally having a 1/60 version VF-2SS (as flawed as it may be). I would like to think that a VF-2J would at least be on par with that.

Agreed, it just doesn't seem right to have an SDFM valk without the standard SDFM missles. I'm also not a fan of them using the DYRL gray instead of the SDFM white. If it wasn't for them giving us the SDFM Max pilot figure (in a bright white flight suit :/ ) I would consider this more of a DYRL valk than SDFM.

Really hope this doesn't disappear into the ether and is of decent enough quality. SDFM version of the SDF-1 is my favorite and to my knowledge there hasn't been anything close to this scale for it.

I don't know why but for some reason I thought that these were static figures (maybe because we have seen them in very limited poses). But now that I know that they are articulated I think I will have to get them. Question though: If Rick is 02 and Max is 03 who is 01?

As ugly as some of those were they all would be an insta buy for me. Throw in some figma or figuarts figures with a hoverbike for good measure.

Then why the need for something that looks like a speaker? Just a happy coincidence that a mental audio broadcast device and a standard audio broadcast device look almost exactly the same even though they function in completely different ways? It also seems to me that if they had the ability to broadcast something directly into peoples minds that J-pop wouldn't be the first thing on the list . I'm sure that this is a topic that was put to rest decades ago and I'm slightly derailing the discussion but in my minds eye it just never makes sense. Same reason why I always question why some military guy didn't replace Basara's speaker pod ammo with delayed bombs or something. That guy was crazy accurate hitting peoples cockpits. Let him sing his songs and if the pilots didn't respond BOOM no more enemy combatant.

I'm fine if they never offer the speaker pods. I'm sure that there is some in universe explanation of how they work but speaker pods in space always makes me go

Looks nice. I'd probably also display the lil drakens in flight formation rather than attached. Really hope I can secure one of these at some point.

Arrrgh. Missed it a second time. I'll keep holding out hope to get it up until release day. I'm bracing my wallet for what I will have to pay if that doesn't work out.

That's one solution. Although it kind of takes the 'super' out of the super packs. Of course if I left those off my eyes would be drawn to the missile pods, which I think were another miss. They are even more bulky/thick than those on the VF-25 and look like a life preserver in battroid. If I didn't know any better and was just judging on appearance I would say that the VF-31 (with super packs) was a precursor to the VF-25 (with super packs) rather than its successor. I like the leg armors though

Don't dash my hopes man. Today's a good day filled with HMR dreams. I'll let reality sink in later I passed on the GBP the first time around but doubt I would if I could get that color scheme.
