Thanks for sharing your pics Jenius. For a product so close to release that Legioss was really underwhelming. Looked more like a pre 2000's unpainted model kit. Maybe one day Mospeada will get the love it deserves.

I'll take one of those, painted or not. No way I could pass up an upscaled HMR regult. Of course this is just a prototype so things may change but it looks like they won't be using any metal. Hopefully the knees will be sturdy enough with all of the pressure that gets applied to them and that it won't be too top heavy without metal in the feet..

When I saw the first two pictures I thought they were selling these separately. Weird, but OK I'd probably get them. Then I continued looking down and saw they were selling them with those craptastic hunks of plastic. No sale.

Not bad. I would have preferred that they skipped the clear panels and interior details to keep the cost down though. Part of the appeal of 3P is the more affordable cost. I'll wait for some reviews but if the quality is decent and the price is right (around $100 or less) I'll probably get one.

I stand corrected. I guess they can be pretty cool sometimes. At least when it comes to Gundam...- 6025 replies

Woo hoo, thanks MW for the heads up on the VF-2SS. Got one from HLJ. Work started blocking figinstock for some stupid reason . I'm constantly getting restock notices about the HMR VF-1J from HLJ but cant go to the site to turn off the notifications.

I'm surprised that they changed the color of blue as well. I thought that part of the reason for them selling the GN Sword II Blaster separately was so that people who purchased the original 00 7S could get an upgrade to the 7S/G without have to buy a whole new figure. Silly me for thinking Bandai would be that cool.- 6025 replies

I pretty much have the same goal (just not limited to VF-1's), but it's not an end goal. I stopped collecting in the early 2000's and only got back into it in the last year and a half so had a lot of catching up to do. My first goal was to get one of each model number. I've been able to do that except for the YF-21. My next goal is the same as yours, get one of each model letter for each model number. If I ever reach that goal I'll start collecting color schemes/pilots I like. Purchasing this way I feel that I have been able to focus my collecting better and not feel like I am missing out on too much.

Not really interested in this, which is too bad. I want to support Arcadia releasing kits, but without a VF-0 I can customize along with the RA I just don't see the need to get it. Hopefully enough other people purchase this to encourage Arcadia to release other kits. I will be pretty though if they release a VF-0 kit after this has sold out.

Well sure, I agree. Something 100% completely new would be the most ideal. That of course would entail a lot more risk from Arcadia's POV to turn a profit, which makes it far more unlikely. So barring that, I'm just asking that they stretch their wings a little further than they have been.
-
Yeah - by low viz I mean something more in line with the 1/48 version. I know these are just fantasy planes but I just love them when they are decked out in colors that are more reminiscent of real life fighters. I've had to wipe off drool more than a few times with some of the customs I have seen.

I can't complain with all of the re-releases and Macross 0 upgrades that they have been doing as I have needed to add them to my collection in one form or another. But when is Arcadia going to go out an a limb even a little and give us something we haven't seen before. The VF-0 armor parts are about all we have gotten from them. I'm sure there are more than a few of us that have passed on their releases because of a 'been there, done that' feeling. Raise your hand if you would jump at the chance for a VF-1 Low Viz, Minmay guard, Alaska base; a VF-11 Low Viz, Raven colors; a VF-17 Milia; a VF-19 Low Viz, Raven colors and so on low viz and so on low viz and so on low viz... I know that licensing is always going to be a hurdle but surely they could get their hands on at least one of these while still making a profit.

Glad to know EE still had it for PO. I was going to wait for release date and stalk all the regular vendors hoping someone cancelled or go through YJA. They are charging more than retail, but with free shipping (and CA sales tax ) it works out to be about what I would have paid for it to get it shipped from overseas. To be able to have peace of mind I'm willing to wait a little longer to get it.- 6025 replies

As much as I would prefer an SDFM version this is better than nothing. Will definitely get it, depending on price, as I missed out the first time. While the chances are probably zero that an SDFM version is ever made maybe, just maybe, Arcadia will make one if this sells well enough.

Quite a nice (and expensive) delivery you got there. Hope you got a good deal. -
Wow! That display even managed to make the Toynami valks look good. Quite an impressive feat.

No you're not the only one, although I wouldn't classify them as 'hideous'. They are an OK compromise for those that lack the paint skills to weather something but they are a compromise none the less. Like LOT said it is far too uniform to look realistic. The results look a lot like models I have seen where someone is trying to weather for the first time. I will admit that I have only seen pictures of these and maybe they look better in hand. Personally, I have no desire to add these to my collection. I prefer the fresh off the assembly line look. If I wanted to have a weathered one I'd just do it myself and I'm positive I would have better results.

I don't know if it is anime accurate or not either but I would still like it to be there. I prefer that than just having it appear out of thin air for gerwalk or battroid.

Awwwwww yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh!! Those are some awesome pics right there. The legs in fighter mode appear to be flush with the wings and go straight back (no drooping ) That gives me a lot of hope that fighter mode will have the proper flat profile. I also like that the gun is scaled better than ET's so it doesn't look like a pea shooter. I wonder if it is going to be able to be attached in basic fighter mode though. I didn't see any kind of connection point, but the view was limited so maybe it's still there. PO day can't get here soon enough.

Oh wow. I didn't realize the MG Hazel was even coming out until I read this thread today. Instant PO at AE. I would have been pretty upset with myself if I missed out on this one.

I have wanted one of those in some form or another for sooooo long I would literally 'squee' if they announced the release of it for HMR. Or announced the VF-2J, or the Zentradi valk, or... Just too much good stuff
-
Woo Hoo! Yes yes yes yes yes. Super excited that this didn't end up as vaporware. Not sure why they went with such an angular chest but I can deal with it. I like the fact that the legs appear to be in the proper position for both fighter (maybe a little low) and gerwalk. Glad they added the split feet. While I too want to see the underside what I really want to see is the fighter profile. Getting it really flat and sleek is key to its appearance for me.

Cheater . Even if you did know them you still know they suck compared to Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, Rumble, Fenzy, Ravage, and even Ratbat. -

This right here. Soundwave has Blaster beat in every way, even when laying down beats. His sidekicks are even more awesome. Can you even name any of Blasters? I'm here on a forum filled with 80's cartoon nostalgia and I still bet most of you can't without looking it up. -

Those are some pretty awesome pictures right there. How can you NOT have Soundwave as a DJ? Just too much fun. Where did you get the turn tables from?
