Nice job, @nonner242!! As for me: got back to work on Reliant: But the decals suck major lemons: They're way too rounded, look like crap and in many cases do not resemble the movie markings. My printer is down, so I tried pricing stuff online and my eyeballs nearly popped out of my skull. also considered asking R2 about their newest decal sheets for this, but their prices and shipping are about the same as trying for the others. So, this us is pretty much finished and is going into storage along with the Leader-1 kit, the B-wing and a couple of others. I cannot afford any further stress, and this was beginning to aggravate me badly (upon medical advice after my latest seizure). Just going to watch everyone else for a while; at least you guys can finish projects (unlike me).

No problem. Try not to worry if you can; sometimes these things just happen and it's a minor glitch. It'll probably be underway soon.

You might want to contact the DHL customer service and see if they have more information on why it is being held.

This isn't Star Trek. If I want gritty, dark and dystopian, there are plenty of other franchises for that. They need to give Star Trek a rest for a while (continue SNW but not do much else new) and stop trying to be the next BSG:R

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
pengbuzz replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
Sounds a lot like the YVF-14 "Tigercat" from RT; HG/ Macek probably swiped it or something. -
It's also going to obstruct the pilot's vision without some kind of drop towards the front.

Yeah, that tends to be something of a dilemma: the more fuel you carry, the more weight/ mass and the more you need to move it. Given the energy contained in a given unit of fuel, sooner or later, it cancels any advantage. This is what early spaceflight faced and in the case of Macross, they still face to some degree today. Modern Macross engines are more efficient (as you previously mentioned), but sooner or later, the amount of fuel/ propellant you carry is going to outweigh your engine power.

I think in some cases, the animation needs to be taken with a grain of salt and the model/ toy made to work the best realistic way possible.

I think "fugly" is being rather kind to it. And yeah; that's gonna be as yellow as a lemon after about 6 months to a year.

Looking pretty good there so far!!

Since Aoshima is in Japan, that's doubtful. Also, the kits come out in December and they want 30 BUCKS shipping. I don't have that kind of money even if someone lets me combine shipping with them!! Anyways, I'll see if they get them into my local hobby store(s) here at some point. If not, there's always ebay I guess. As mentioned to Thom; 30 bucks shipping. No WAY the wife will allow that; anything over 8 is no go, period. I'll find a way to get the stuff somehow. If not... either ebay or nevermind.

I'm thinking very strongly about buying the reissue Leigoss when it comes out in November and seeing if I can use the torso and nose parts to effect repairs.

Man, I was just thinking about you; I haven't seen you in a long time!! Bro, my wife and I will both be praying for you! Let me know if you need anything!

UPDATE: A couple of projects- 1) Recently, I found a pair of metal Star Trek pins at a local thrift/consignment/ collectibles shop that I really liked: For the TOS one, I didn't like the "cut" that much in the middle, so I reground and polished up the entire pin (midway fitting during polishing here): I really like what it added to my TOS E's stand: The other one went to my Refit's stand/ plaque: I put it where a smear had happened on it; while not the most ideal location, it made it look 1000 times better IMO: 2) Recently received a B-wing model from a friend (:D ); I have another friend who loves the B-wing and whose birthday was recently. So, I began work on it- Cockpit and pilot in progress: Overall progress 1: Cockpit closeup (with canopy glass): Pepsi payload (:p ) Paint shop supports: Finished canopy/ cockpit: Nearly ready to ship out: At this point, just staring sadly at what was once Legioss/ Leader-1. I had intended to smash it to pieces with a hammer... ...but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. So it sits in its' box. Stay tuned...
