  1. If they did a battroid kit in 1/48, I could probably find a way to make it transform.
  2. Yeah, I know what you mean...
  3. Give that 3-6 months and let's see if that's still true then... I think folks here are really underestimating how fast this tech is developing; anyone who has experience with innovations in just pc tech alone knows how fast things move in the field. Anyways, it doesn't matter what happens from this point out; my career in art died as far as I'm concerned. AI is just the wake for everyone else's. I'm done in this thread. *pulls ejection handle* -Pengbuzz out.
  4. I can just imagine the radio chatter on that one... Hikaru:"ROY!!! A battlepod shot me in my hands and they're deflating!!!!" Roy Fokker: "Hmm.... sounds like a personal problem, Hikaru..." Hikaru:"...."
  5. Hey, been there, done that. I've had to remove bad decals; usually my first trick is to use 3M masking tape to pull the decal up (even with clearcoat), but sometimes they can be stubborn little cruds!
  6. While I think LeBeouf did okay as "Mutt" Williams, I don't believe he would have been a good candidate to take over the fedora from Ford. Nowadays, I'm wondering if like with James Bond, there aren't really any actors with the gravitas to handle being Indy.
  7. *takes notes, steals trick, makes way to door asap*
  8. Good grief! If Wiseguys sent all these to UN SPACY, Bodolza's forces would have panicked and retreated!!!
  9. You could always carefully cut the top of the fuselage (following the panel lines closest to it) and remove the precise area above the wing pivot: Once everything is dry and in place, simply re-glue the fuselage sections back into place; the panel lines should disguise the glue joint. I ended up doing a similar operation for my X-wing fighter when I had to rebuild the x-wing scissor joint, and it came out pretty decent. Another way you could do it is to locate the hinge pin inside the fuselage, trim if off and drill out a hole for a new hinge pin to be made from part of the sprue tree. Once the wing is in place, trim the new hinge pin flush with the hull, glue into place and touch up where is shows up on the fuselage. I acually did this one on one of my Imai Vf-1 transformable kits.
  10. Just wait 'til the do a Colonel Sanders mech...
  11. One question I have Seto is: with what HG did to keep Macross pinned down and the recent victories BW won in the courts and such: is there a future for Macross globally and particularly in the US, or did HG manage to ruin it with their saturation of RT? I hope I'm being clear enough on my question; if not, I guess my concern is that after their initial failures to launch and their periodic re-releases, they managed to sour the planet on it.
  12. Sounds to me that whoever is writing the code for the firmware didn't check thoroughly enough that it would keep the voltage to 1.3v. Either a mistake in the code spelling or it isn't applied properly I would imagine. You'd think after compiling it that they would have done extensive tests.
  13. Looks like you have quite the model there! Looking forward to seeing how you do this one! UPDATE: just waiting on stuff for the E-D. But while I was waiting, I had to go digging for a replacement cord in my junk box (pc monitor cable went south on me!). While I eventually found the replacement in my other box, I did find this (previously a thrift-store rescue that had been redone once, but then stripped down and redone again): Obviously needs quite a bit of refinement, but I had previously corrected the nav deflector trench on it. After the E-D, I'm thinking of redoing this one (at least as much as my hands will put up with). It's the 1/1400 version, so it's in scale with the E-D. Stay tuned...
  14. Maybe they would take a crack at the Macross itself? Perhaps even other ships in the later series?
  15. Is it just me, or is anyone else getting tired of the "hollow-formers" (limbs and sections of torso open and hollow, looking cheap as all get-out)?
  16. What broke on your original 25F, if you don't mind my asking?
  17. They live there, and the effects of that war ripple (and in many cases outright tear viciously) through their lives. We also see the cruelty and coldness of an Empire that doesn't care about those they govern, as well as the damage and harm they cause in the manipulation and maneuvering that those in power engage in to attain and maintain their little "kingdoms". This is another reason I think it's wise not to engage too much of the "alien cultures" in this series a s much as possible: so that people can relate to the story and have a personal interest in it.
  18. Right? The others...er, not so much.
