  2. They may have tried a more inexpensive plastic to mold it out of and it didn't pass muster.

  5. I would except for a few minor inconveniences, such as: -rent -medication -groceries -utilities -fuel -insurance Anyways, thanks for the input on this. I'll see myself to the airlock now...
  6. The problem with "OG" is that for the price, the parts are really fragile. We're talking about thin plastic clips from 1985 that have undergone whoever knows how many stresses from being attached and detached repeatedly. Abuse of nearly 40 years plus UV over that time period, heat/ cold, non-optimum storage conditions, being dropped, sat on, etc... and all of these are unknown factors when you get them. If it's the reissues for the valks (Origin of Valkyrie, etc), that's different. All the same, unless you Ihave to have "OG", this should suffice.
  7. I'd love to see that! And yeah: from what I've heard, the Cy-Kill kit does blow superior....
  8. Very tempted to use some of these ideas on my G1 Jetfire, but I know better! :lol On another note: wrapping up the Street Hawk project... just need to paint the eyes in on Jesse Mach, a few tidbits on the bike and a final "polishing" of the overall model. It's really gone much better than I hoped, and will take its' spot on the shelf next to Airwolf when finished! BTW: my next project coming up- Stay tuned...

  12. Or an arm and a leg, but with how wonky my body parts work, I need all the limbs I can get! O.o
  13. Well, thanks to a few things gone right (for once), I was finally able to make a purchase from them!
  14. Helping him out with a project, Thom.
  15. Sorry, but the only one I have is when I took a busted one and carved all new pieces for it, so it's not a standard breakdown. However, several folks here have redone theirs; hopefully someone can help you with it. I'm sure the gang here can get you fixed up in no time flat!
  16. The large antenna removes by undoing the 2 screws on the bridge tower section of the SDF-1. That should come apart in half and then the main mast antenna should come apart. That will also allow for the removal of the smaller antenna on the tower side of the bridge. The other half has one screw; rather than take apart the entire section of the main body the bridge sits on (it's a royal pain!), you could probably use a jeweler's screwdriver to remove the broken masts. Pics of what I mean (screws circled in green):
  17. Thanks! I may well do Automan in the near future! BTW: check your messages
  18. Okay, I replied to your PM.
  19. Let me know if you need Daedalus and/ or Prometheus. I think I still have one of each!
  20. Right; I ran into that recently with some HDMI cables I bought and had to return them. I later found my monitor could support DisplayPort and my PC had a DP port as well, so I went with that instead (bought a better cable this time around instead of bargain basement). Made a considerable difference, and with my monitor having built-in speakers, the DP cable allowed me to drop the aux cable for the speakers. Oh, I can relate:
