  1. Sorry, my source indicated thousands; maybe I need better sources. Seriously though: I agree that overkill by several hundred is about as bad as overkill by thousands. I guess it would just be a preference of how many smithereens you'd prefer to be in. 😛 An all hands on deck, the $#!7's about to hit the fan event. FRMville.
  2. From NY Post: (more): https://nypost.com/2025/07/22/entertainment/ozzy-osbourne-dead-black-sabbath-frontman-dies-at-76/
  3. The one overriding problem with a PMC vs. a Zentraedi force is that even the smaller Branch Fleets consist of thousands of ships. The larger Main Fleets are composed of millions of vessels, and all of these fleets have some pretty heavy weaponry that comes with them, both ship-mounted as well as launched mecha/ fighters (As @Seto Kaiba has pointed out in previous posts). Given that UN Spacy/ NUNS has had one hell of a time even defeating a smaller fleet in times of crisis and that most PMC's are not all that large or well-equipped as NUNS, I seriously doubt that they would do much to "hold the line" against much except a small rouge force of malcontent Zentraedi or pirates.
  4. Good! BTW: We've been trying to reach you about your Valkyrie's extended warranty.
  5. Yeah, the Glaug is really coming along nicely there, Papa Rat! What matters here the most is enjoying what you're doing; that translates into how the model comes out in my opinion. With all the grief many of mine suffer, I think they could use a drink or two! O.o
  6. No, I tried scratchbuilding my own some time ago, and it died. I posted it here on Macrossworld, and was quite perturbed abut it. :(
  7. Cat's Eye... groan.
  8. True; there's only so much of Planet Dance one can take! I loved those, especially Dynamite 7! The story and songs were really good!
  9. Would like to see that as well; after all, they did bother to design and build them to some degree. Admittedly, I'm getting the feeling of the "special hero group to save the day" vibe from the continual "PMC" stuff they've been doing for the past few series. It was beginning to make me feel that the regular forces were not considered to be competent to handle anything other than being "cannon-fodder". I even began feeling that way about Macross 7 with Sound Force. At least with SDFM and MII, the heroes were part of the regular UN Forces and not PMC's with mecha you wouldn't find in said forces. Maybe I'm being a bit persnickety or too narrow in my field of view here; that said, would like to see the pilots stand out in what they can do with a good mech more than seeing what the latest model can do while brewing coffee, prepping your tax returns and choosing your lunch order for ya! Yeah... I agree. That paint scheme really works on that!
  10. Tron v 2.0, I would say. Just like Windows versions function in a similar manner but don't necessarily look alike.
  11. *jealousy going on right here* Seriously, nice job!! I'd love to do that to a 1/55 someday! Meantime: next build coming up: Stay tuned...
  12. His accident aboard the Class J starship happened about a year after he handed command over to Kirk, so I don't think we'll see it.
  13. UPDATE- Top Gun F-14A and TOS NCC-1701: First up: Maverick's F-14 Tomcat; the MODEX numbers kept changing between "104" and "203" in the first half of the film, so I just chose one. I also chose the specific weathering pattern that depicted Maverick's plane when he went up against Jester the first time (the "white panel" on the center back). At this point, I just wanted it done! The white piece and hole are inset plastic plate and tube for the stand post; once I get more plastic welder, this will be reglued into place and the groove for the Sparrow missiles re-carved: On its' stand; used the last of my Realistic Water to try to make it look like the ocean: 1/ 537 TOS-E: Scale difference between the 1/650 version (original AMT model) and the 1/537 "cutaway" version: On stand: Comparison with the 1/537 Refit (sorry about the backdrop; it's all I have right now!): (sorry about the blurriness; my hand lately is not steady due to the nerve damage): Final pic of all three: two are Enterprise, and one launched from an Enterprise: Thanks for watching; see everyone next project!
  14. Looking really sharp there, Papa Rat! A minor suggestion: perhaps a very light drybrushing with gunmetal lightened with a bit of silver on the grey parts, to give it that "slightly worn" combat-used look?
  15. If they do go with being able to produce it, I would say have it just after they found a method. That way, while they can produce it, it's labor intensive, and is going to be slow for the foreseeable future. Just because they find a way doesn't mean it needs to be easy, and it doesn't have to be all at once; perhaps enough to start outfitting a squadron's worth of mechs in a given space of time. It could also prompt other powers or interests to either try to gain that advantage for themselves, or try to sabotage the NUNS' efforts to produce it, That could make for some interesting storylines in of itself.
  16. Another possibility: they make a breakthrough on fold quartz production in some manner. That, or they produce fold half-gallons.
  17. Glad it worked for you!
  18. Be careful of that though: too long and the parts can warp! That's how I lost the booms on my Matchbox SDF-1! O.O
  19. Just need to let the base dry; I applied Realistic Waterâ„¢ by Woodland Scenics: May do some refining work on panel lines (nose is a bit lacking on them), but I can do nothing more with the color. It is what it is, and I'm not fighting with this anymore. My reference (courtesy "crackerjazz" on RPF):
  20. Try putting the head in the freezer for a bit; that may make the joints brittle enough to pop apart.
  21. As I described (and suspected).
  22. As best I can tell from watching extreme closeups on several videos: the front is one piece, and the back of the head is a left and right piece that combine to form the entire back half. It looks to be glued or sonically welder together; I recommend you go slowly and use caution.
