  1. Great pics @tekering !
  2. Haha that big feet and somewhat cartoonish teeth just about make it quite charming. Never enough a fan of dinos, but agreed that at this price it looks like lots of fun to be had.
  3. CM's Dark Ride Armor.. Gotta thank @jenius for his mega helpful write up on his site to identify which variant this is.
  4. Always wondered if I should pick up some of the Sentinel Fighting Armor series, but I kinda think the line would look strange if they were all put next to each other, owing to the same base sculpt and consequently the exact same height. In meantime, just enjoying the existing Re:Edit Iron Mans which to me is unique enough among the sea of MCU Iron Man's..
  5. Can't disagree there, I guess styrofoam off-gassing is the only possible irritant factor left, as some others have also speculated. Clearcoat likely helps too because I know of other toylines that re-issued with clearcoat in attempt to tackle the yellowing problem of initial release. But base plastic formulation is still has to be the #1 factor.
  6. Recently noticed that some of Frontier valks (v2 onwards) have started to turn ever so slightly yellow, even though they have been kept MIB in their boxes since day 1 away from the triple bane of sunlight, heat & humidity. Pretty upset at first, but it is what it is. I conclude Bandai plastics for that generation of valks probably only lasts about 9-10 years before they start yellowing. Whereas Yamato / and early Arcadia valks of those years are still pretty pristine white in the same conditions. So, I gonna start taking some pics of the whiter colored scheme valks to preserve their glorious colors in memory, starting with the YF-29 30th Anniversary (Roy) which is pretty much my top favorite scheme of all the YF-29s..
  7. Even though it is still WIP, the weathering does add lots of depth to the toy. Battroid has never looked better!
  8. Close call but luckily no damage @treatment. I received mine in exactly same packing from Amazon JP. Curiously for smaller packages, items are a shrink wrapped with a piece of cardboard HLJ-style, but not for bigger packages like these.
  9. Nora arrived today. Had a quick fiddle out of the box in Fighter, and it’s immediately obvious the wings have been tightened up even more compared to Ivanov’s. When I wanted to fold them inward for submarine launch position, the wing root joints were so stiff that I felt I might snap something whilst trying to move them. One of the things I like about Arcadia’s mold, is the pair of wings being slightly bigger than Yamato’s. It gives Fighter just a tad more balanced look, although admittedly only more noticeable from top down angles. And oh, the box loses the front flap & window that were present in Ivanov’s. So weight savings of 150g to be had there, which should go some way towards lower shipping rates.

Looking at these latest pics, the VF-0 in battroid will not be much bigger than the VF-1. It's appears to sit somewhere between the VF-1 & the VF-2SS. Certainly still looks too small, especially if used to looking at Yamcadia's implementation of both VFs. I have a sneaking suspicion, that Bandai arrived at this point from the size of their pilots. I'm glancing over to my HMR VF-1J Hikaru, and he's just tiny & sinking into his seat in the cockpit. Whereas in the Yamcadia VF-1s, the pilots look really cramped. Assuming Bandai keeping the size of pilots the same across the HMR range, and the HMR VF-0 were to be properly sized relative to the HMR VF-1 like the Yamcadias, then the HMR pilots will positively look like 6-year olds in the VF-0 cockpit. So, did Bandai scale the size of VF-0 down to what we are seeing now just so the pilot won't look so lost in it? We have seen this type of wonky scales before - the 1/48 Chogokin VF-1s. Bandai probably carried over the relative size of the (undersized) pilot to VF-1 of the HMR line to the 1/48 Chogokin. And then when they made the Fan Racer, they had to size it around the undersized pilot, and we arrived at that weird point where the 1/48 Fan Racer is smaller than Yamato's 1/60 Fan Racer!
  11. The Ghost X-9 are 3D printed ya? Only now I realise that the X-9 has its own super boosters.. I thought only the latest Delta movie has this kinda set up for the ghost drones..

Still hopeful this VF-0S is in right scale with the rest of Macross HMRs, and this pic of it relative to the tamashii stands does make it appear so..
  13. "How do I break out of this cramped box? I got a movie to shoot!"
  14. That's great news, some progress coming and more ride-armors by Sentinel! But I hope they'll announce the Tread for PO first in meantime..

  16. Just having fun with an old CM's Ingram 1 gashapon figure..
  17. Continuing with collecting older items, and by pure luck scored a Yamato GNU-Dou VF-1A Max not long ago. It scales right in with the HMR, and although it doesn't transform, the chest articulation does add a whole lot of subtlety to posing & is pretty fun to handle.
  18. I wonder if this means Arcadia uses different factories for their Macross products. SV-51 Nora was announced later than the YF-19, but released quite on time and earlier than the YF-19.
  19. Thanks for feedback @MacrossJunkie. The gold tampo prints were arguably one of the nicest things about Yamato's version. Too bad it kinda regressed in this Arcadia's. I wouldn't really notice it if it hadn't been pointed out, but now I can't unsee it.
  20. Just messing with some pic filtering apps.. At moment its back to the YF-21 / VF-22 being the favorite fighter valk. This time appreciating its high speed mode, with its inward canted stabilizers, and fold-down wings. No doubt the fold-down wings is a concept borrowed from the OG Valkyrie the XB-70:
  21. Meh that’s not a very imaginative box art coming from Ivanov’s..
