    Bandai Sv-262 DX valk

That shade of rust red keep bugging at me. Now I know why. It reminds me of anti-rust paint primers one uses for metal surfaces. So in my mind this 262 paint scheme looks like a heavy WIP unfinished item. But I’ll still get at least one to support for the potential Elvis.
  2. Lol this for sure!

I agree new HMR VF-19 looks like a shrunken Yamato/Arcadia proportions wise, especially in battroid mode. This seem to be a trend for the Macross HMRs, and I wonder if it is a testament to how good the Yamato molds are? Also agree that old HM fighter mode look better than the Yamato one. But I never compared closely to know the exact reason, & you’ve just explained it quite clearly.
  4. No tampo + sculpt makes it look so similar to Arcadia’s at first glance. The blue tint on cockpit looks rather heavy handed though.

Props to Bandai for moving straight to VF-0D instead of an easy VF-0A recolour.

    Bandai Sv-262 DX valk

Hmm a deep rust red.. In the movie, it looked alright against the sunset sky in the scene it was in. But here in normal lighting it looks really intense. Still prefer the Elvis scheme lol..
  7. They pretty much look the same to my eyes. Any changes appear to be too subtle to notice.. But the whole thing looks production ready, without any of the usual work-in-progress signs like bad fit & finish or jarring seam lines.
  8. Bandai is on fire showing off new Macross items. 🔥 This link previews a bunch of new Tiny Sessions items: https://hobby.dengeki.com/event/1741260/
  9. I wanted to get more of these, but the shipping tipped it over my budget quite a bit. These are real heavy.. It is a huge quality of life improvement. I find small button batteries, even after having been removed from the toy don’t keep well & corrode quickly. It’s more annoying than the light-up is worth.

Which means, those that turned up at the used market would likely be ‘battle-tested’ and missing at least half of the missiles lol..
  11. Initially, I did think they were going to sell just 1 ghost at 11k.
  12. You know, I really hope they do. Bandai only appear to do canon schemes and that valk technically is.
  13. Is this the first time the HMR Scopedog being shown?
  14. Always sort of regretted passing on the Megahouse Hi-Spec releases. So definitely will be getting the HMR version..

  20. Yeah its kind of strange.. panel lines are quite soft looking, I would say perhaps even more so than the VF-1? But whereas VF-1 was an old mold, the VF-4 has the sharp and fine lines. On other hand, if we look at areas like the wing gloves, the edges can be really sharp and well defined. The whole thing has the sculpt of an Arcadia VF-0, but the color and panel lines remind me very much of Yamato's..
  21. Ok the current reissue is only about 10% more than the original release. Still speculating though, with costs going up steeply, another straight reissue might be much pricier than the current Y7800. So they could be making it more palatable by updating it to a v2. Although I wonder if they announced it too soon, as the current one was just only re-issued in July.
  22. Tony vs Stane. In a.. errm, deleted scene.
  23. I love these Revoltech's.. There's really not much need for ver 2.0 actually, since current ones are already so good. But then again, when I think about how much prices have gone up even for straight re-issues, ver 2.0 look like the right move.
  24. Yeah this one does.. In ZD Toys line, they usually release a non-light up version first, followed by light up version a few months later. For Iron Monger, they went straight for light up version. I like their LED implementation because it has internal battery that you just charge up via a mini USB cable, and the switch is always easily accessible.
  25. ZD Toys Iron Monger. Limited articulation, nice sculpt, great paint.. More pics in this thread.
