  1. From the product page description, it appears both covers are included: "Two types of removable cover parts are included: a clear version and an in-play version." (ok whatever in-play means) In the product specification, what is included in the set is 'strike packs set', which can be read as the set with the standard covers, and 'clear molded strike parts cover set'.
  2. lol.. this time it is clear parts for only Yen 33,000. Good value because a valk is thrown in free! Meanwhile, I actually question the purpose of the clear covers anyway. If the intention is to show off the mechanicals underneath, might as well just have the covers off. Wait, the Yamcadia's can already do it! $$$ saved! (yet I sound kinda sour grapes ) Anyway, this is great for those who missed out on the Hikaru 1S earlier.
  3. I wish the parts are sold separately. Yeah Bandai did sort of already hinted it was a bundled set when they first showed it off last year, but it is still a d**k move. It's gonna be the 31J Speakerpods all over again.
  4. Wait what? The mechanic edition parts only come with the valk? Boo!
  5. Perhaps deserves its own thread, but posting it here for now: Good Smile has a follow up to its Cyclion, a Type Darktail. https://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/14744/Cyclion+60+Type+Darktail+62.html
  6. +1 on this. Bike mode look mangled almost beyond recognition.
  7. Didn’t realize the original 19P sold poorly (it was before I started collecting). I really was & still hoping they don’t see the low sales of 1J Max & Milia reissues, & perhaps the VE-1 too as factors against reissuing 19P. Would think it would figure more prominently against the VT-1 instead.
  8. Hopefully the VF-19P is the next release. It is still a hero valk, it is 99% a repaint, so there is no reason for Arcadia not to do it.
  9. Excited for this release as well. Even if already have the Arcadia versions, I'm usually reluctant to handle them much so this HMR will be a alternative to play & whoosh it around.
  10. Ah so the recent Cyclone at SDCC is actually MoShow's. Somehow conflated it with Pose+ earlier. But what huge difference from the earlier art renderings! The art has that odd rabbit ears and gundam-ised feet, but I do prefer its lines now than the current grey prototype that looks really overdesigned. Plus the wheels have shrunken substantially, such that it now looks more like a mini-bike.
  11. Wave WHAM Fighters 1 & 2, metallic version:
  12. Gotta agree, this grey 'special' VF-1S looks really good just on basis of the color, might be even nicer than Yamato's 1/60 Low-Vis. If not for it being a KC, it would be insta-buy if it was on the other VF-1 molds. The head lasers including the base being wholly black just reminds of the old 1/55 VF-1S.
  13. I have trouble reconciling Dana in full body armor + helmet, and without. When she's in the body armor but with frontal mask or helmet removed, it looks like some sort of crossover between 2 different franchises.
  14. But by far the most interesting to me are these 2 new mechs: One is a new bike, that transforms into a wearable Ride-Armor style. The other being a transformable jet, with the pilot shifting into the robot chest like the Garlands.
  15. Just some updates on the artworks over the past few months of the Megazone 23 Reboot project: http://aic-r.com/
  16. Doing Master File schemes would be really nice. I see Hasegawa doing it for their kits & often wish there’s transformable toys of them.
  17. Gotta commend Pose+ taking a different approach with the Alpha. Instead of having it combine with a Beta (I think we can agree at this size, the chances of Beta happening will be very slim), they combine with a pilot that can also wear a full-fledge transformable Cyclone. Now I wonder if there is space in Fighter to store a Cyclone as well.. What is a bit of downer of that Alpha sculpt, is how small the vertical stabilizers are. The Sentinel ones are already small, but this looks even proportionately tinier.
  18. I just wonder how acceptable will it be to fans if Bandai diverges too much from canon transformation. The belly plates, lower leg and now possibly the hands are going to be different from what has been worked out in the line-art. I am personally ok with these changes so long as the everything is generally in the same position, considering the amount of anime magic involved for this VF.
  19. I won't really see it as replacing Yamcadia's 1/60, simply because the more I look at the Battloid sculpt, the more I feel that its proportions veer towards human-like rather than typical Jap robot proportions. Disregarding the old line-art, its legs look a bit shorter and head is a bit larger than the Yamcadia or Bandai DX. We see the same thing for Threezero's recent Voltron vs Bandai's SOC Voltron. Why this feels 'human-like' is that the overall proportions look like a Hot Toy Iron Man instead of say, a Sentinel Re:Edit Iron Man.
  20. To be honest I didn’t read the story, but mostly followed for the new mecha designs. I quite like the Inbit redesigns, & the additional Legioss + Tread variants. If the new ride-armors brings to mind some Bubblegum Crisis feeling, this new #12 bike definitely gives it Highway Star vibes. I like it even if it turns out to be non-transformable.
  21. The whole rotating lower leg is an Interesting solution to how Bandai solve fitting the very lanky legs into the belly of Fighter. By making them disappear completely into the calves, there’s more space for longer hips. It also looks like the hips are also on a rotating joint to make them positioned higher in Battroid like its YF-19 counterpart.
  22. Pic via Stone Cheung on FB. It looks like the next Riobot Ride-Armor will be Eagle’s. Still not sure what is that other bike at bottom.
  23. If Arcadia ever gives us the YF-21 with updated engineering, I actually don't mind if they keep the Yamato proportions intact, but give us another pair of chunky legs to swap in. Removable legs are already there with the delimiter mode. Yeahh its major parts-forming, but I see it as similar to how Bandai gives another pair shorter, line-art accurate wings for their HMR VF-1 & VF-0.
