Nice interview it is. I hope they will be able to release all they have planned and are planning.

Quite right, especially when we compare to: Exactly, they should have started from the 1/65 as base reference sculpt and improved from there. But I guess Bandai is going for minimal effort just swapping a few parts from the 171.

Great that Bandai is expanding on Macross 7. A skinny 17 in Battroid does look weird though, the feeling I get when first seeing this is akin to latest pics of Dwayne Johnson, as compared to say when he was in F&F. It has a lot of the DX 171 vibes all over.

That's an interesting way to position the wings. 100%. It's a fresh way to interpret how a valk transforms, and the colors are so well integrated into its design.

When Mr. K mentioned no air-conditioning in the earlier tweet above, I guess it's not the only AC he's referring to.

^^ A very slick art of the 19P from this angle.

Just a quick update - the figure is fine now. KC did confirm the pants can't be taken off without cutting or removing the stitches, but good news is after investigating the issue, it turns out that it's just the thigh socket having slipped out of the ball, & just needed to be popped back in with very firm pressure.

These are really awesome, and I never knew I needed a Dark Legioss + Tread combo until these pics.

Eureka! I knew he look very familiar, his likeness came through well in the figure.

Ha.. I forgot all about the Pose+ Tricharger. I remember reporting in 2023 the original release being delayed by a whole year, then a year later 2024 on actual release it kinda flew under the radar, and here we are nearly one year later. I was somewhat on the fence on this & was waiting for early reviews on it.. Art Storm branding being on both the Tricharger & the Garland is just them being the distributor, but the manufacturer for both are different parties and don't think they are directly related. One being Pose+ and the other Fewture for the Garland.

I am so used to Yamato's VF-17 Fighter proportions, especially the more bulbous front end, that the line art can look weird to me lol.
-
I know one of the stated goals Pose+ has mentioned is to simplify some aspects to make it more play friendly, but I wished they had stuck to a more canon interpretation on how the wings fold at the back like Sentinel did. The rear will it look more elegant that way.

Hellfire missiles bouncing off invaders' backs? Send out the Legioss instead... Despite the toy not being very large, it can be made to look quite imposing. (And just a few minutes ago, I noticed the shoulder sensor is mis-transformed in these latest pics. This will bug me for days to come... until I'm annoyed enough or find more inspiration to take more pics again.. sigh)
-
Same experience here with loose joints too. Also, the hip / waist lock keeps wanting to slide back up whenever I move the toy, it is pretty annoying. There's the criticism of Sentinel Tread's lower legs, but now I'm reminded their Legioss also has the nearly the same issues. There's no lower leg rotation, and ankle range feels very limited. It's a challenge to find some nice poses without having the feet looking dislocated or at some weird angle..

Yup.. Back then I wasn't really familiar with Gunpla - I happened to come across a modeling exhibition by a local distributor, and at that moment felt the urge to obtain a kit of an old transforming Gundam toy I used to have as a kid (found out much later it was a ZZ). The RG Zeta was the only one I found there that came close enough to what I remember of that toy, so I went home with it and if memory serves, built it much later. Although it didn't handle well after I was done, I do remember being impressed that no glue or paint was needed, unlike my very limited modeling experience when I was like perhaps just 11, being given a model kit of a car, and then could only afford the cement and couple of paint colors after skipping some lunches.

As much as I like the sculpt, Sentinel's really not much fun to handle in Soldier. It can be too fiddly.

LOL the RG Zeta was the first ever kit I assembled years ago, and I didn't dare to start transforming it since stuff would just untab & fall off just by touching it. It really made me think all model kits are that fragile in handling, and influenced me to cancel the VF-25 kits I had PO'ed at that time. Thereafter I moved straight to the DX to start my Macross collection.. Thankfully a few Gunpla kits I had that came after were nowhere as fragile..
