  1. K.Meano is also the same one interviewed for the old Forbes article by @Cacophanus. https://www.forbes.com/sites/olliebarder/2015/12/06/meet-t-rex-the-awesome-mecha-toy-designers-youve-likely-never-heard-of/
  2. I didn't know about that the other knee joint either, so that is good to know. Great review as always @jenius, I enjoyed both the written and video format.
  3. Precisely this. So glad they don’t have to compromise anything on the sculpt. On FB, the designer for this Tread toy Keiichiro Maeno has posted he will be at Anime Los Angeles in January next year. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1A4Ba1xfk3/?mibextid=K35XfP He actually just left T-REX to set up his own firm, but whilst he was there he also designed all the Sentinel Mospeada stuff, & his work goes back all the way to the Beagle Ride Armors. In the comments section he also mentioned being involved with the Yamato SDF-1 & the YF-21 (should be the 1/60) as well.
  4. It's interesting the arm sliders are nowhere nearly as tight as some copies, so looks like only affect certain examples. Looking forward to the full review!
  5. Pilot & missiles aside, I love the whole transformation scheme they have detailed so far. Quite some thought have been put in to execute & solve the bugbears of earlier efforts from other companies, without sacrificing any looks. I hope it feels better in hand than the Legioss that in hindsight can be somewhat fiddly. I love that the Tread's landing gears are integrated, and beefy metal ones too that I wish were also used for the Legioss.
  6. Wow after all the waiting and this is what they came back with.
  7. On contrary I do like how high-speed mode looks on the YF-19 haha. It gives a birds of prey look diving down in hunt, plus visually jives better aero-wise with increased speed.

As a late collector, I missed the supposed good ole’ Yamato days when valks would frequently go on this kind of discount. Seeing this makes me want to make up for it lol.
  9. For the reissue Legioss, there is a very minor change. In the Sentinel blog post, they mentioned (highlights my own): which should be this: This is quite puzzling & hopefully it’s some sort of mis-translation. Gluing the figure together is just more work at factory, and for customers it is gonna make painting it more difficult. But it is also possible the figure will be a new single molded piece. In which case it still kinda suck that it will be monotone instead of painted at factory.
  10. I second @Froy. NNG can undervalue to request. Reliability wise, I used them a few times over past year and there are no issues. There were some complains in earlier years (before pandemic) over tardiness, cancelled orders etc, but over the past couple years I haven’t heard of serious issues. Their PW works quite differently from others though, so just be informed of that.
  11. It deserves its own coffee table made around it, like the many UCS Lego Falcons we see. To be honest, I won't trust the default stand even the right way up, seeing how stand connectors were broken just for the Legioss alone. Likely will add own additional supports.
  12. Looking through this link, but what caught eye were the additional details Sentinel posted there (user browser translation): Part 1: https://ameblo.jp/sen-ti-nel-info/entry-12864467958.html Part 2: https://ameblo.jp/sen-ti-nel-info/entry-12864603134.html No bundle package, Tread will be released Jul 2025 and re-issue Legioss a month later on Aug 2025. Unfortunately, the missiles will be Sentinel-store exclusive.

HMRs for play, 1/60s for display. This is happy compromise for getting duplicates across scales.
  14. Price hurts a bit but not surprised. Looking good so far!
  15. The good thing is Sentinel products are made-to-order (up to an upper limit), so will not be sold out instantly. I hope so too. Not expecting it to be cheap, so it’ll be nice if they give lots of extra accessories.
  16. Is it too much to hope, that the connection is beefy enough for us to be able to swoosh the Legioss & Tread combo with one hand? Sentinel's tweet did mention both will be offered at same time.
  17. My 1st Arcadia Reactive Armor for the VF-0. This copy didn't arrive with any wrapping at all, so I wrapped it up nicely myself and applied a sealing tape. I'll likely keep it that way until I decide to open it & put it on my non-PF VF-0S.
  18. Oh nothing much.. just that I still can't get over the huge sticker shock. Hopefully it'll be a great release.
  19. I've been casually following Beast Kingdom's DAH line on and off for a while now. Wasn't always a fan of the pinned shoulders & prominent elbow joints, so the soft costume do quite lift these figures to another level.
  20. I guess simple tampo like what Arcadia currently doing with non-PF valks are fine. Not too bare, not too much, in keeping with the cartoon aesthetics. I certainly hope Bandai won't do a Mac 7 equivalent of the N.E.T.F.C. splashed across the wing like their YF-19.
  21. Oooh nice.. but still no price revealed yet. I hope they don't pull a LD Voltron.

    Arcadia VF-5000G

I'm guessing Arcadia just wants to see how the reissue VF-1 does next month (assuming no further delays) in terms of quality from their current factory, before committing to new mold orders and production. If the current factory is not up to mark, I'm assuming there will be more re-issues announced & produced first until they are satisfied with the factory quality, with further delays if they have to source yet another new factory. Even if the upcoming VF-1 has no issues, I won't be surprised if they might exercise more prudence by announcing one more reissue of something. Slow and steady appear to be guiding principle, and I rather wait than seeing them go under due to blowback from any quality issues.
  23. I'm suddenly reminded of Han Solo being carbon freezed, seeing how these Turtles are posed in their packaging lol.
