    I think Mandarake doesn't seem to like trading much on small stuff like trinkets, acrylics, gashapons.. which is why there isn't really much on their site. The good thing is they are usually the cheapest on these items when they do come in stock, but at same time that is likely also the reason why they don't come much into stock in first place. I think places like Mercari JP & Surugaya JP usually have more of these items available in higher frequency, but prices may vary quite a bit from Mandarake, on top of which got to add-in proxy costs..

    Yeah that pirate head is probably the best looking head of any VF.. I do wonder if it should have been given to the 30th Memorial ver., in keeping with the skull theme lol Got it from Mandarake. I don't specifically look for these trinkets, but only if I happen to be buying something else & so bundle it in if they happen to be available. That said, this strap is one of the nicer ones to me since its all metal, rather than the many PVC ones.

    Now looking again at the Armored VF-11, it really looks like a cross between both the Armored VF-0 & VF-1. Hopefully in the next Macross show, the Armor for new VFs come back to these simpler designs instead of the overloaded ones we got in Delta.

    Those hip intakes really do look very large. It’s totally opposite to the old Revoltech VF-1s, their intakes were really small instead lol.

    Just more 29, with couple of top down pics. The 29 in Fighter, especially with its Super parts, is a polarizing design for me because although it is based on the 25, I always felt it strayed a bit too far from a jet & has a more organic feel to its lines. Yet it is one VF which has the best integrated Super Parts design, & looks much better with them than without. Ozma’s colour scheme is gorgeous, with charcoal grey well matched with other greys & blacks. On other hand, the newest 29 on the block Max’’s scheme brings out & highlights the best of the 29’s lines. I love how the whites flow from the chest all the way to the tail. Despite occasional misgiving about its overall Fighter design, the 29 has the most interesting & diverse schemes of any VF toy. If not wrong, every one released so far has a unique paint scheme that’s not a straight up colour swap like what we see on other VF toys.

    Nice purchase. VF-27 is one of those designs I appreciate more over time. I like how the wings, even with its own boosters, try to tuck away in Battroid as opposed to the 29. Also keep forgetting the top mounted booster is a drone in its own right..

    These are really cool @SteveTheFish! Having played extensively on 16-bit consoles then, as a kid I didn’t really much appreciate the art of the sprites themselves in the games, and always wishing they could be sharper because of well, ‘better graphics’ was always an aspiration. Seeing these now really rekindle memories of that era, with newfound appreciation of pixel art. And you have captured the likeness perfectly with the beads. Thanks for sharing!

    Maybe Bandai will do 50th Anniversary sparkly gloves. Only those who scored the 50th VF-1J will be eligible in the lottery to buy.

    I like these figures too, yet I’ve never felt compelled to complete the set with Minmay. It feels weird to have the OG idol donning others’ costumes, but that’s just me.
