This is cool on so many levels. When I regularly got on flights last time, I would always choose seats near the wing, peek out the window & watch the flaps working during various stages of flight. Next model kits really need to incorporate these flaps, perhaps starting with an updated Max Factoy 1/20 VF-1.

I believe, arms looks flush with legs here because the arms are not where they are supposed to be. Once slid further forward to butt against the head, I believe the forearms will then droop because of the bump caused by the waist rotation T-bar sticking up into the forearms' space. The arms currently do not droop in the above couple of pics because the shape of the shoulders allow clearance for the T-bar. From the older video couple pages back, this is how the arms are supposed to be, but unfortunately from this angle we can't really tell if the forearms are lower than the legs.

Many of the stuffs in the various videos so far have mis-transformations to varying degrees. So far, the only major curiosity I have left are whether or not the arms truly hang down lower than the legs in Fighter. Pics provided by Threezero confirms it, but with no Fighter rear view pic provided, we do not know if they have also mis-transformed it. Can @mcfly50 or @26662 confirm this?

Thanks @Shawn!

Tried to upload pics into posts today, but for some reason they fail. I'll see an upload progress bar but right at the end the return message was 'Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file'.

As I go through the video again, I also notice the arms no longer hang down lower than the legs in Fighter. Were the ones in stock pictures (image below) mis-transformed? But it just looks like the reviewer just hasn't slid the arms all the way forward, which is why we see the huge gap between the head and arms underside. Once the arms are in proper position though, the arms should be in a lower position than they are shown.

Good catch. That's a strange flap, and I can only think it's something to be pulled out to help swing the landing gear out of its bay although it seems unnecessary. Also, for the rear bay door, the one further back towards the feet appear to have the slot for your finger nail / tool to pry the door open at the wrong side. The slot should be at the side opposite the hinge, not the same side as the hinge lol. We can see it at the 23 sec mark.

Thanks for posting. Couple of things stood out for me in this video: 1. The weight is at 325g. I just weighted the Yamcadia v2 in front of me and it is just shy of 200g. Threezero's is heavy! Coincidentally, the Arcadia 1/24 Garland in Slave mode is about the same height as TZ's in Battroid but weights exactly the same at 325g, so I now have a very good sense of its weight in hand. 2. The reviewer says there's a coating on the surface, so not sure if he meant it is painted or if it's just a kind of clear coat. Either way, this should boost its yellowing resistance and frankly, this was exactly what I was hoping for. Something else I'm also noticing, is that the entire backplate sits further back in Battroid, which is why the side-covers look so conspicuous because they are proportionately thicker than all other VF-1 toys before it. The upside is it looks like the hips can now rotate completely forwards without the top of it / intakes hitting the wings, so leg-forward poses can be done without engaging the Garrwalk joint like the many toys before it. We can see this when the reviewer put it through its articulation phase, though the caveat is that it is possible the reviewer did not fold the backplate down completely forwards much further before needing to engage the Gerwalk joint. There is definitely more space there than other transforming VF-1 toys. Tried to upload a screenshot too, but looks like I'm getting the same error.

Shifting the backpack upwards allow the hip skirts to angle back more, and now that I think of it, the large shelf between the shoulders is not so much only for the upper arm range of movement but also to help with the hip skirts management, especially once the super parts are installed on them skirts. This valk is an interesting case study on the compromises that have to be considered on so many aspects.

I did suspect KC asked for balance payment when the Battle Pods / Regults are not ready, and this new video doesn't dispel that. It's not a good sign as it points to them needing the balance for continued working capital. The Battle Pod (the single one with gluu-ger) were one of first items that KC changed the payment system when they went up for PO eons ago, where they were asking % downpayment instead of full payment. I think it came on the back of rumblings of them started to significantly delay earlier figures fully paid for during PO. If I'm not wrong, this payment system of % downpayment only lasted for couple of products before they reverted to full payment on POs thereafter.

I was sort of set on getting Hiya's, but there was some hesitation too because articulated joints don't always look good on areas showing a lot of skin. Was pretty pleased at first that Pop-Up Parade was making it, but then got a bit bummed that they are making it in L-size only. Would be entirely happy to get her in normal size. I have dithered on the old Sega figure of her in the SAC 2nd Gig outfit for some time as well but couldn't really accept her facial sculpt after all, so yeah hope a new figure of her with pants will come next.

So, has anyone gotten tracking numbers yet for the Regult / Battle Pods? Sometimes when KC ships stuff there’s no e-mail from them, but it will be silently updated into the order # in one’s account.

At first I thought a variant kit being planned to be released, but no, it’s a custom paint job done by Jun Someya from Bandai Spirits Hobby Division. This glossy scheme is pretty cool.

Based on the video @treatment posted just above, the white parts are painted. At first I’m wondering if the nosecone tip could be molded in white, but when I look at the other VF-0 molds, the tip is not a separate piece from the rest of the nose, so it would have to be white-painted as well.

Nexx's is nice because he can dual wield weapons and I like that they are both different guns. Really hoping Bandai will move onwards to a HMR VF-2JA one day..

I can see why the chunky doesn't need changes if it is reissued again. It's just I'm seeing something similar over at the TF scene, where if I'm not mistaken (I didn't look much into it actually) new molds based on the original designs are being done, but with some updated articulations. So it's like a best of both worlds - a callback to nostalgia with some modern articulations to at least enable some basic decent poses. But the chunky is much better than the original TF toys to begin with anyway haha.
