That's right, folks: even though you've already given the store $100 to reserve the system, you may not get one at launch. GameStop has done the smart move of asking its employees to wait on their purchases until the second shipment. A representative who spoke to GameSpot is "anticipating having systems to cover reservations before Christmas." Those who have a preorder through GameStop should be contacted by phone and given a status update. The unfortunate souls who have a PS3 preorder but will not receive one at launch will be given a free used game or DVD valued less than $20 ... whenever they finally get their PS3. After having promised $100 to the company, it's unlikely most customers will be willing to spend $600 elsewhere -- or wait in line, for that matter, when they already did so a month prior. It's too soon to tell who's fault this is, the retail outlet or Sony itself. We'll know soon enough just how many units will be sold on launch day. What happens to those who put their PS3 on eBay and now get it delayed? Will they be faulted for GameStop's actions?

Well, I NEVER played my PS2, the Cube stuff I can play on the Wii... Could I have sold it for more on E-bay? sure, of course. Was I guarenteed that money? Hell no. Besides, I only really paid for the games and they were crap anyway... either stuff no one wanted or are easy to find. The PS2 was bought used and the Cube was a gift. So, for me this worked out well in my favor I feel.

Brag post... sorry After trading in my Gamecube, my PS2, all my PS2 games and a bunch of Cube games I'll never play again, I now have my Wii, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Zelda, Red Steel, 3 extra Wiimotes and Nunchucks as well as a 512 memory card completely paid for. So now I get to just waltz in and get my goodies when they are available. WOOHOO!

A friend of mine went to two Gamestops... waited in line for an hour before the store opened... guy comes to open the store, looks at the line and says "Sorry, we've solds out of pre-orders". Explain that to me how they could've sold out of pre-orders BEFORE the store even opens... That said, he did manage to get a pre-order at the 3rd Gamestop he went to (second one only had 20, he was 25th on line) Me? I lucked out. Only 20 pre-orders, 21st on line... however, a guy up front only wanted to pre-order some games and I got his system pre-order ticket... so, technically, I was 18th on line And... that reminds me... I should probably go back and pre-order Marvel Ultimate Alliance before I forget...

Nice pic graham. Given that space in that area is critical, maybe instead of having them recessed into the 21, just have them be completely external and clip onto that area... either that or Yamato will go super lazy, put out another re-color of the VF-1 and stamp "YF-21" and "Project NOVA" all over it and just say "What?! It's a YF-21! It says so right on there!!!"

LOL, sadly nothing in an official capacity. However, two VERY promising fan films are in the works. The first is Return of the Ghostbusters by Braxtan films. A few years back they did a Freddy vs The Ghostbusters fic that, well, is so-so at best? But the new film looks great. Different team making it and the effect shots they've been showing look just amazing. He has the uniform, but not the pack... so, we're going to build one... in under a month. How do I get myself into these things?!

This is actually a good idea. The MG hands I'd recommend for this would be from the OYW Gundam, either of the Gundam MK II 2.0s, the Nemo, the Zeta 2.0, or if you think those are too big, the Gundam F-91 just came out and has the same wrist articulation.

And just for a size comparison... The proton pack was mostly built by me, though the proton gun and some details on the pack were done by a friend of mine. The trap I bought from Facade FX last year before he closed shop. This past month I gutted the horrible lights he had in it, replaced them with red LEDs (hey, can't go wrong with red LEDs... ever) and hooked servos up to the doors so that they now open and close when you hit the trap pedal. I'm hoping to have inner lights for the trap before Halloween So, super geeky I know, but, what do you guys think>

They're gonna be winging the toy designs. It's impossible to make them look exact, so they'll be cutting corners and making them "close enough". If you take a look at the Blackout toy and compare it to the movie pic, you can see what I mean.

I am very impressed with the classics line... though Mirage looks a bit iffy. I think I'm sticking with just two lines... Alts and Classics... maybe with a Masterpeice here and there One classic I hope they remake is springer. I loved that toy as a kid and they could definitely use another triple changer in the line up... and an Ultra Magnus would be awesome if they did something other than a repaint of Prime.

I order from Image Anime often (mostly Gundam stuff and for next day delivery for standard rates...) They DO know what they're selling... on the phone at least. Who ever does the web page is a dolt though. Great guys that work at the store. I had ordered the Super Stealth, they accidently shipped out the non-FP Stealth and called to let me know. Did an exchange and only charged me the cost of the regular Stealth as an apology. Hmm... I still have that guy's number... maybe I'll call to let him know

From what I can tell, it's starting "fresh", but will probably have the same tone as the new show (which, speaking as a 25 year old who grew up with the original toon, ROCKED... damn 4Kids! cancelling it... the last season that didn't air will come out on DVD some what soon I believe). Looking forward to this flick as it's one of two of my childhood favorites being redone movie form...
