That would be an intriguing option, perhaps creating even a bit more interest...if that's even necessary at this point? I do hope the series stays relevant though, enough to provoke them to re-issue those from the original Hi-Metal line.

Decided to skip the Max and Milia VF-1J Super Valkyries, which I may end up regretting. Fingers still crossed for these in the future: DYRL Variant VF-1A Super Valkyrie "Hikaru" Variant VF-1A Super Valkyrie "Max" Variant VF-1A Super Valkyrie "Kakizaki" SDF Macross VF-1A Valkyrie "Max" Tomahawk Regult Tactical Scout Queadluun-Rau

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 23 - READ 1st POST
RDX17 replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
The show definitely went off the rails a number of episodes back, but with 22 and 23 it feels like it's getting back on track towards...something. -
I will definitely check this stuff out. Thanks! I think my primary concern, other than knowing the residue is there, is damaging the box. Thanks again though!

Okay, looking for suggestions on the best way to remove residual tape adhesive from the exterior packaging (box) of one of these HMRs. One side came off nice and clean, but the other side left a tacky/piled film of goo. I tried using another piece of tape (scotch), laying it down over the residue, and then slowly removing it, however the goo remains. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Right on! Thanks for that!

Ah, I'm ashamed to admit it took me a while to grasp what you meant: the Zentradi bombardment of Earth in episode 27. Any idea what day in 2009 that took place?

Today, July 7, 2016, marks the date of the final message received from the SDF-2 Megaroad-1. Although the message may not be official Macross canon, I thought commemorating the date in this manner would be fun. *** Taken from Wikipedia, regarding "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?" Playstation game: There was a mail-in gift only for the first releases of the PlayStation version of the video game that offered one "what-if?" scenario. The gift was a music-playing card in the design of the crucial Protoculture music plate that Misa Hayase found in the movie. On this card was the purported last message from Lynn Minmay aboard the SDF-2 Megaroad-01 colonization ship before it disappeared, according to the official Macross continuity. The new audio dialogue was recorded for the video game by singer/songwriter Mari Iijima, who played Minmay in both the Macross animated TV series and the movie adaptation. The message said that the ship was about to investigate a black hole at the center of the galaxy. However, given that this story comes from a not-for-sale extra for a game based on what is considered a "historical" dramatization within Macross, it is not the final word on Hikaru, Misa and Minmay fates according to series creator Shoji Kawamori. *** Macross World member Sketchley has provided a translation of the message from the above mentioned card here: http://monkeybacon.mywebcommunity.org/OTother/MinmeiLastMessage.php

Macross World Podcast - feedback & comments

I've been wondering about this too. Granted, I'm relying solely on the translations from GoGoAnime (so I don't know how accurate the dialogue is), but it was my understanding the dimensional weapon was used on Windermere following 7 years of war and that's what ultimately brought about a cease fire. I think we can all agree that who/what actually caused that explosion on Windermere is still an unknown though. As for Gramia's comment regarding the destruction of the ruins on Ragna, I interpreted it as him being taken aback at the NUNs seeming over-reaction to the situation, which resulted in what appears to be significant loses on both sides (of military and civilians). I do agree that it appears someone is orchestrating things behind the scenes.- 1147 replies

The only disadvantage I see with the color coded fast packs is not being able to use them on other valks (Hikaru's VF-1J, The Cannon Fodder VF-1A, etc.). I mean, of course they can be used with other valks, but I think they'd look even more out of place because of the colors. The "standard" solid gray/blue would have ultimately been a better option. That being said, I don't mind the white lower/rear leg section. I kind of like it in fact. I also wish Tamashii would release a calendar of what's coming next year...just so we can be prepared.

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 13 - READ 1st POST
RDX17 replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Had there not been a bomb, is there any indication that the giant Protoculture structure would have appeared once the Sigur Valens approached? Or once Heinz started singing? Has this Protoculture structure made an appearance in other Macross series? (I'm only familiar with SDFM & DYRL, and it doesn't look familar). Any idea who/what "Rudanjal Rom Mayan" is? The Sigur Valens begins to transform then dock with the Protoculture structure as Heinz starts singing. Did Heinz's song initiate the transformation? Did the King & Co. know the Sigur Valens had another mode? I know there was speculation in the Gertalk Podcast and in the MW Forums that it could transform, but it just seems convenient that this specific structure on Ragna is ready to receive the Sigur Valens. I realize the connection between each Macross series is very loose, but it was my understanding that the SDF-1's transformation was needed to make an adjustment due to the missing fold drives at the time. I also recall the Zentradi being surprised and perplexed when it transformed, which suggests large transforming battle stations were not something they were familiar with. I know later Macross series make use of transforming ships (Megaroads, etc.), but is the Sigur Valens the first transforming Protoculture ship in Macross canon? Thanks in advance for any responses! edit: spolier tags removed -

Is there any indication that both Max and Milia will be released at the same time? I'm only asking as the majority of the images are of Max's VF-1J. Perhaps Milia's will be a later release?

I've been wondering about them as well. Was one of them a Wind Singer? And was that person involved in whatever caused the crater on Windermere?I've read a few comments such as RedWolf's below, indicating they're out of the picture, but... Has this been stated in any of the episodes, in one of the comics, or an article about the series or characters? Just looking for a reference if there is one. Thanks! -

I believe what Azrael and I are criticizing is the lack of showing us how things have been happening. This includes not letting viewers see the conflicts between Delta and the Aerial Knights play out as well as providing details such as how Messer's Valkyrie appears to have remained intact following his death (to name two things). That fact that we've been left to infer what happens in a numbers of episodes so far is actually important (at least to Azrael and me). -

Au contraire, I believe discussing how the story gets from point A to point C (leaving point B up for speculation) is part of what makes this community most interesting. Categorically dismissing it as "just not important" is disappointing, to say the least. -

Hopefully someone can provide the proper terminology, but if I recall correctly...there's some type of fold barrier surrounding Windermere that would not allow them to do so. Assuming you're asking why they haven't straight-up headed to Windermere, taking the fight to them. Also, although I believe Windermere has declared war, everyone else involved appears to be on the defensive...focused on countering the Var. I imagine we're going to see the Elysion deployed at some point, and am definitely looking forward to where this series is headed. -

Right...we still don't have many details on the Windermerians backstory at this point. Maybe that will eventually flesh some things out, and possibly introduce some other characters. We know there was a war with the New United Government 7 years prior, a dimensional weapon caused mass destruction on the Windermerian home world, and they're now fighting to free/control the Brisingr Globular Cluster (so they say). And, unless their interest in the Protocultre Ruins is strictly based on controlling other worlds, I think something else might be going on there.
