    Just followed Chris Samnee: https://twitter.com/ChrisSamnee In the previous posts I didn't know his work. But via Strip Panel Naked I got to know about his Daredevil run, so now I have 4 volumes of Daredevil trade paper backs where he is the main artist. I'm currently not into superhero comics but I like his art.

    Macross toy releases slowing down is an advantage for me. I get relief since I'm not only into Macross, I'm also into other anime like Gundam Wing, Blame!, Ghost in the Shell, etc. Not only that, I also collect graphic novels, art books, etc. I can't afford everything so I have to pass on stuff I could have bought if I had the funds. Right now the Philippine peso is taking a beating in the exchange rates which makes me more cautious on what I buy. I try my best not to overspend and have something left for emergency funds (though if it gets big enough it turns into travel funds lol). That said I take joy in the buying part because it's like a reward for my work. Currently I'm pondering my next steps to a higher paying job or getting side income. This hobby has taken me out of my complacency and I like that.

    Didn't see a forum topic for this one, so I made one I liked the original series, not really fond of the sequel. Anyway, subtitle of the next sequel is Re;surrection.     Just finished Kotonoha no Niwa. Amazing. It's my favorite Makoto Shinkai film so far (note I haven't seen Hoshi o Ou Kodomo yet).

But I don't want to login to FB and post there just for that. Having bought 3 1000toys figures, the one I like best is the Synthetic Human. It's also the best-looking figure they put out recently, imo.

    Been a while since I've seen May'n perform live but I have no funds for this because I've been buying a lot of Macross goodies (and others too) Maybe I can save enough to go again to Singapore for next year. Though mostly I've been wanting to go to Taiwan...

    Time to have 1 generic thread for 1000toys, they seem to expand now with a figure by Kim Jung Gi called 1/12 ROBOX BASIC. https://hlj.com/product/1ty39106 There's also a new figure from Tsutomu Nihei's Aposimz manga: 1/12 Aposimz: Etherow https://hlj.com/product/1TY39110/Act Don't have the cash for these, though. If I liked Aposimz I could have wavered, but I don't like Nihei's current art style. I think the Blame! manga is the only work that I really really like from him, and to a lesser degree the Knights of Sidonia (anime season 1).
