  2. The legioss/tread is CM is aweomse, but those ride armours, are way too expensive. And the clear... why??? lol beagle is rather expensive.... i dunno.

Then Terry, Andy, MAI....
  5. hahah no no, Yeppoon, that's on the beach about 9 hours drive north east from brisbane. Yeah we will have to make it somewhere where all of us can get together and make a good sized con, where would we have it though? Gotta hire out a cool pad and get a big BIG screen TV.
  6. The 1/48 scale SDF-1 bridge would be sweet and at the same time HUGE.
  7. That's a great reply, indeed Thanks to Mr K! I have a feeling in the next 5 years we are in for something really special regarding Macross, it's all a big big buildup. Yeah! I know that scene, it really does give you goosebumps! The music in Mac II really hits ya in that vulnerable spot. It rules! Speaking of scenes, i get the gooses when Minmay is signing the battle song in DYRL?, especially when Hikaru salutes the bridge and goes off on his assassination run. That's where the music gets ya. Another is when in Mac II, just before the credits Ishtar sings that song as she is saying goodbye to Hibiki and Sylvia an gets on her transport craft. That's my fav song in Mac II. First time i experienced this Macross vibe is when in the english dub (RT) when Minmay is singing her battle song "We Will Win". That is pure emotional brilliance. That whole episode in dub was grand. Mac Plus, well the movie has most of the vibes, especially when Guld takes out the Ghost fighter, that's a teary one, and Sharon's WannaBeAnAngel song scene feels great! As does "The Borderline" spooky... Another one for Zero, when Nora gets burned, DD gets REALLY pissed, and goes all out with his SV-51, the music is really good at this period, and when Shin is seeing Sara he is totally freaking out! That really gets me there, awesome stuff. And And when SHin is falling in his damaged VF-0... I love Macross.
  8. lol! I love the ORLY birds!
  9. lol so that's where he is.
  10. For sure man! Maybe 2010. 2009 would be the ultimate year (SDF-1 launch) but i doubt i'd have the money by then I'd probably work it around flying over for the con, stay the two days there, and then continue the route to my wife's mum place in russia. That would be the only way i could get the excuse. Also myself and a friend who is a lurking member here are toying with the idea of an aussie con. We had a marathon and display workshop the other weekend and it was heaps fun! I only have a small place so i couldn't have more than one person over, but it was just a practice con so we know how to go about it all. We really do need to work an aussie con once a year as well. Our fandom demands it!
  11. ahh ok, i thought you had two kits of KlanKlan.
  12. I've got 3 levels of display, middle (2nd) level has all 1/48's. The top and bottom floor as 1/60 ONLY. I'm sorry, but the people who don't care about scales are just not placing enough effort into their displays. Displaying scale with correct scale is taking the displaying technique to a higher level. imo. That being said i guess size of display room matters, so if you've got a cramped display, then place them in there together. Smaller figures like revoltechs, 1/100's, and gashapons don't really count, they are like little niknaks to spruce things up.
  13. Wow very VERY nice display. Makes me want to get a Stealth.
  14. Now that's what i'm talking about! beautiful capture! btw cool use of the bamboo matt.
  15. lol, thanks man. I'm gonna try this alcohol powered booster add-on soon.
  16. cool, like the Antonio Banderous movie soughta, whats it called...
  17. heh heh nice! Getting better with the boxes. I'm so glad they started this trend with the YF-21. Notice how the front pic of the side on Strike Roy hasn't got it's gear down! (places feather in cap) Did they listen G-Man?
  18. Hmm nice mech! So there is a Zenith mech out there. Thanks for sharing that.
  19. We all get it, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when the action hots up, especially when the speakers are turned up full ball. But what about tears of joy or the effect of sheer excitement? Firstly - personally i use headphones (early morning not to wake people up) and it kills off any other sounds which is a huge bonus. That's great for atmosphere. I don't have a huge entertainment set up, just a normal LG decent size TV that's lasted me for years and years, waiting for it to die (bless it) so i can spend the money on a high end Plasma. Headphones negate the need for a Big speaker system imo. Anyways, i almost cry at pinacle moments, not because i'm sad, or sappy (lol), but because i'm so drawn in, it's an uncontrollable reaction to seeing Valk action mixed in with character development and drama. I especially get this from Watching Macross Zero. Best example is when Shin's F-14 squad is getting smashed from Nora's SV-51y. I get chilling shakes of excitment from that, and my eyes water, what is this? I NEVER cry or get too emotional (angry, shrugging off type), i even didn't cry at my own dad's deathbed or funeral, i know it's not weird, it's common i hope atleast haha. But MACROSS... I cry almost, i get very emotional just coz it's so awesome. This is hysteria? Like those crazy chicks at concerts that cry pathetically? hahha no no not like that but tears anyways. lol Anyone else get this with Macross?? I think it's just the combination of excellence that is Macross. I think it happens with other movies but not like Macross. Also i think for the best hysteria fix is straight after youu wake up from sleep. I really like this feeling, it's like i'm waiting for the next hit, it's addictive~! (no i don't take drugs, but i haven't drank too much yet, maybe that will bring it?) Be honest!
  20. So what order would you watch it all in? Recently i tried to watch Zero non stop, then started the tv series non-stop, but i eneded up needing sleep just before the final showdown and i didn't want to waste it on a half dozing view. So, i'm going to start over again (wife won't be back for another month from holiday with her mum) and i'll watch Zero much MUCH earlier (like 5 in the morning) and then try and get the whole tv series in before i crash. Mac 7 (which i haven't touched yet) will be hard. Whats that, 40 sumthin episodes plus movies? That's more than a day? The in-betweens are easy enough though!
