Max, Miria, Klan and the VF-25 Boys.
ruskiiVFaussie replied to Retracting Head Ter Ter's topic in Movies and TV Series
If it wasn't variable i think he would have massive problems (for example Shin F-14 vs Nora SV-51) As long as he's got something to switch modes and angles with fast stop maneouver abilites, he'll be fine. All he would be lacking is speed, and arsenal. And who needs them if your a f'n genious, f'n f'n G E N I O U S. -

If your good enough, you should be able to take out a 25 with a little Defender. -

Yamato is proud of their landing gears. I always complained how they had front box art with landing gear down (fixed it before the YF-21 release box.) Now they show all the front boxes with landing gear up. win! We'll get some more pics along the way, pre-order cancellation is still on the cards. -

He'd find a way. Max in anything that flies and is variable should be a worry for anyone. (imagine the old ring raiders episode where the old chap is flying a bi-plane and his way of taking out (Scorch? Interceptor?) a classy jet fighter was to drop in a wrench in his exhaust) rofl. -

gah stickered nose sensors??? that is very lame. -
I just ordered my on sale 1/144 Zentran power armour. go nice with my 1/144 Q-Rau! Yeah it would be nice to get a 1/60 scaled Z/P/Armour to wrap it's legs around trying to stop Hik and Minmay getting away (in the v.2 VT-1!).

SO which Valk is everyone looking forward to piloting? For me it's the VT-1 or VF-1D. Too bad we won't get a Fanjet.... -

That's just for the wider than norm A-Stance? I honetly don't have a problem with that, the legs are supposed to be able to do that imo. (canon) but it would be nice of course to get a better width without having the intakes detach from the main. -

Miriya and mickayesou thank you thank you thank you! Well my Ozma early bird pre-order is safe. (for now) I think they look great! Although i want to see the landing gears... rofl. Now we need to know if FP's come with these first releases.... So it's confirmed there will be a seaparte release or Super Armour with Valk? that would suck, i'd be ok with buying the Armour separate of course. And are those hands articulated? Swapable hands would decrease my enjoyment, hmm, cancellation is still on the cards i guess. I hope we get a good review up to make sure there is no QC probs before we all have to fork out some monies. :edited: -
Yep, and the fact that in both the series (and behind the scenes i gather in DYRL?) she got to know Breetai and Exedor personally, they became friends, without her relationship with them the Macross would have been toasty smokey (boldoza was pressuring them, quarenteened Bretai's fleet etc). Minmay is important not just for the song.

Nope none of them work, wanna be a mate and post some of them in your MW gallery for me? :P MATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE? HEY! are you crazy?? This IS Macross we are talking about. -
Heh, that is very sad. Hasegawa is punching out all these non-canon fan custom schemes and still not Max 1A TV. tisk!

f!!! I can't see the images! is it just this office comp or what? ;; :edit: it's me, office won't let me view. Can anyone post up the pics using MW gallery?(atleast that works for me) pretty please. -
Daedalus scene??? COOL. Whats that, 15 Tomohawks? and a few mac's, few Defenders, Spartans.....
-
closed already? That was very fast. I'm not sure if i want to keep my pre-order. It seems there is alot of stuff getting punched out and i'm finding it harder to warrant me needing all this stuff even if it's Macross. I'll have a think about what i got ordered, and cancel some... Should just keep to collecting the big stuff.

I think the TV 1A Max should be released first, and DYRL? after. With the 1A 1/48 TV Max still in sight (for jap residents atleast) the 1A Max TV 1/60 v.2 would benefit more wouldn't it? But when has Yamato expressed their logic with releases. (not recently!)

The only thing i've ever had to worry about with my various collected yamato's is the fear of my Shin VF-0A(+Ghost) I don't know why people are so worried about yamatos.... -

Macross, You & Days Before the Internet
ruskiiVFaussie replied to Roy Focker's topic in Movies and TV Series
Before the net (around 1999-2000) i held onto my beloved VHS copies and previous to that what was in the vid store to rent. I had some VHS's that i taped some RT on, but usually i missed out on taping alot coz it played before i got back home from school. But anyways, i LOVED the palladium RT/New Generation Role Playing books, during high school that was the most of re-living the excitement. But it was hard to get some good games in, with lack of interest from my mates, and the fact they wanted to play RIFTS more. >_> But it all changed when Manga entertainment brought out a ton of great anime, DYRL? and then Macross Plus came out... Macross Plus, was... just f'n awesome. DYRL? just changed EVERYTHING. It was from the heavens! i then became a Macross purist. RT.com viewings got less frequent, i started to track down oringal ST's, artbooks (Goldbook and TV art). And then i saw MII, and then it was the Plus movie, and by that time i was already on the serach to get myself some Valkyrie toy/collectable goodness, something that was lacking in my childhood apart from a couple matchbox crappy merchandise and knockoffs. I was always dissapointed as a kid with the quality of Robotech merchandise, and never had the opportunity to experience the chunky monkey, but even then i would have been dissapointed as i had high standards as a kid. (hated trannys coz the legs were usually just back and forth and no side ways stance ability i.e. Soundwave, Opt, numerous others.) is it freakish having high standards? OF course i started out with Robotech, and spent a year or so on RT.com (ryzui) and made some nice pals there. But then i started making good money, EBAY came into play. Bought my VT-1 1/60, and then MacrossWorld and the rest of my collection followed, the rest is history! *TV morning Showings of RT Macross saga as a kid *VHS *Role Playing books (Palladium RT & N/GEN) *RT.com *VHS releases of DYRL?, Macross Plus, MII, Macross Plus the movie *Soundtracks and Artbooks *VT-1 1/60 *Macross World *dvd & toy collections.
