  1. Same here. Hey here's something interesting - http://www.hlj.com/earlybird.html check out all the takara tomy and tomy direct StarWars figs being offered at hlj.com as early birds.
  2. Some new stuff that hasn't been posted up yet for those that are interested (like me). December release! :-D Overdrive have them also. Roy Fokker Special Wind Breaker Black M, L & XL http://www.hlj.com/product/CSP33725 Roy Fokker Special Parker Black M & L http://www.hlj.com/product/CSP33729 Cospa I Love Minmay Rubber Key Chain http://www.hlj.com/product/CSP33730 Cospa UN Spacy Rubber Key Chain http://www.hlj.com/product/CSP33731 Cospa Roy Fokker Special Rubber Key Chain http://www.hlj.com/product/CSP33732 I'll be grabbing the parker, it looks badass! Plus the rubber key chains will be nice... won't get the iloveMinmay one though heh. I like the fact that the Parker has the Un Spacy insignia and wording at the bottom on the back, where as on the shirt it has it on the sleeve. Breeds badass when worn! Roy Focker Special Team wear!

  4. No problems whatsoever here. Oh wait, i lost a couple of no-step stickers. dammit Yamato! Really, no problems, besides a little bit of looseness on some of my 1/48s. Fixed em with clear nail polish. I was lucky i didn't get the Roy VF-0S 1st release, as i really only wanted Shin's VF-0A, so i dodged a fair bit of dissapointent there. - main problems first, least worries last - 1 1st release YF-19 1/60 landing gear not panning out correctly and gunpod not straight. (well noted) 2 rubber seepage on my first 1/48 (hikky 1st release VF-1S) on the hips/connecting points 3 legs a little loose on a couple of my 1/48's, mostly my 1st release VF-1 Hikky, and 4th release Hikky 1S, plus my YF-19 is a bit loose 4... ? nothing. All are tight, and have been transformed numerous times. I display alot so that's a given. Can't say any major bad here. Just for the bandai people, i haven't had any problems with my SOC's or Spec yet either.
  5. Once everything is organized and everyone knows whats in store it will be hard for you to resist i promise. lol yes, gossip shall be in order. Does the SUpernova cons usually fall on the weekend? If so i don't see this happening, we all work during the week and i seriously doubt we will have enough time to fit what is planned for the Mac Con. If the SuperNova was on a friday that would be awesome! On a sunday not bad.... Saturday we'll see. Gets some official Supernova con dates ok! Yeah that would be cool, i doubt most people will be able to take that time off during the working days but that's why we are here in this thread! Hey, do they have much cosplaying goin on at the Supernova? I've never ever been to an anime con. I have e-mailed Ben about whats the max number of seats that can be filled, i am guessing 40. Hoping we can do something like how people that book in early they get choice of where to sit. I haven't been to one of these gold class cinemas.. so i'm not sure if there is a negative area, like how in my local cinema it totally sucks being up front, and back. Middleish seats rule. Keep the ideas coming people.
  6. "HiHi Everybody!!" Yes! You are correct, this is the drastically reduced quote from Brisbane’s Gold Class cinema function representative [ben], I’m really surprised how much it’s gone down from the original guesstimated quote (from other cinema options)… Here’s what he had to say – I originally thought it would be up near the 3.5 k! (taking into consideration the projectionist hire fee) ... that is a brilliant discount. Ben thinks it’s a great idea, and is really keen to accommodate us for the day. Nice to have some enthusiasm! All you guys would have to fly out and be at the cinema early before it starts of course. I’m sure that won’t be too much of a problem, but that leaves us with re-organizing the time for the (lol) show and tell, where the customs will be shown and displayed. With 12 hours, just how much can we fit in? I propose (as originally intended) Macross Zero, non stop, then DYRL?, then Macross Plus the movie, and then Macross II, I’m not sure how much all that equals too in length. Would we cut the credits off? I love to watch the credits at the end, mostly due to the brilliant musical score on all of them, especially DYRL? with Flashback footage at the end. Could be time to get munchies from the candy bar I guess, top up on frozen coke. Say, 15 mintue intervals. Ben supplied a list for us – Hold that thought, we supplying something extra nice on the day. But your more than welcome to get your own munchies. Can someone put together an official full length of those 4 flicks/ovas? Perhaps we would only want the first 3? Whats Zero… 45 minutes each episode? and the next 2 movies are around an hour and ¾ s? … I guessing all of them would be around 9 – 10 hours? So would there be intervals in between the switch overs, would that count towards the 12 hours? Ahh I know! Add Flashback in there. Oh wait… Macross II goes for a fair amount of time… 25 minute episodes? Help! Can’t remember…. Thoughts? Maybe we (the organizers) will add in there a suprise, so all we really need now is a full length running time for those listed. Please. But now seriously blokes! SO. Can we as a group of elitist Macross fans, pitch in to help make this price agreeable individually, so far we have scored around 14 – 15 members, interested in the con. I'm sure over the coming months we will get some more interest here on the forums or even RT.com. Important that we branch out to all possible aussie macross fans that do not usually check here. I think we would need to send flyers around to score the extra 20 or so more heads to cut the cost down, there would be people interested, only if the price would be around lets say…. 30 – 40 bucks a head. Hell that wouldn’t be the least I would pay to watch the major Macross titles in the ultimate way possible. I have a dream, I want this to really happen next year. I already have a BIG custom surprise that will be ready by the con date easily, plus we can check out Mikimoto’s Minmay framed. (HUGE THANKS TO SAVE AND KIRIK) We need a heap of customs! I call custom comp! Thoughts??? After the con there WILL be a after-Con party. Just need to start throwing ideas around to make sure we have a good one! <--- After Aussie Macross Con Party Are we gonna hold the display-a-con on the Sunday? Then after that we can piss off to the beach or something. Discuss! Ohh and people who have the higher quality DVD’s with subs should put up their hand for supplying the viewing material, I am currently downloading the HKV (blue ray rip) of Macross Zero (absolutely divine quality) but am not sure if they can be placed on dvd? Do we really need subtitles for works of art like Zero and DYRL? I’m all for raw and all, but if we are opening it up to the anime public to cut costs, then subs should be included. I’m sure there are ways get the MKV onto dvd or b/ray disc, so let’s get that organized. In my library I have all what we need and can supply – * Mac Zero (all on one disc) with (inaccurate) subtitles. The subs on the MKV rip is much much nicer! * DYRL? FX (with flashback footage at the end) * Flashback (no subs I think can’t remember, mostly singing anyways) * Mac Plus Movie (official release not anniversary special) * Mac II (official movie/series episodes pasted together) People with HD quality copies/official dvds/blur-ray discs let us know, higher quality the better. Anyone want to contact me please do via PM or e-mail with enquiry. I’m on msn a lot, but will check yahoo and icq if it flies that way. I'll say this for now, the bigger it gets something really extra special might be in store for us. I'll try to make that happen. “ByeBye everybody!”
  7. Teenages with a Half Shell... TURTLE POWER! peh Nah it's not lilke spastic bad, in fact when an if they bring out the armour pack with Ozmas' 25 i'll probably get it, in fact i was always going pick up the first release, that's until we got wind of the fast packs being released from their onlline website only! And here i thought yamato was only capable of that gayness... and then castor wheels.... and gaps, and line art in-acurracies in all 3 modes. I'm more pissed off for the fact thta if bandai were to do a "updated" version, they would stray from the 1/60 scale, and then that would interfere with my in-scale stuff... i doubt very much they would take it up to 1/48. Would be cool though.
  8. I want Bond to get back up in the air, LOVED Octopussy and him kicking arse in the mini jet, whatever type it was. Cars shmars get back up there!
  9. lol Yeah, it's true, if your not familiar with the show it will look good to the average collector or kid wanting something to play with.
  10. And if we are certain to have it in May, that's not coinciding with school/public holidays. That's great you have people to visit Kensei!!! I will probably fly down on the Friday after work. Or failing that early Saturday morning. Really want to get things finalized so we can start booking flights early.
  11. Hey Bluemaxx!!! WELCOME to MacrossWorld! You picked the right time to find the site, next year you can celebrate you macross fandom/collection habits with like minded fools! muha hahah you Win!
  12. That's one thing i really wanted to find out with the v.2 1/60 is how the medium warhead packs align themselves on the wings when the VF is in Battroid mode. I have pushed the 1/48 to it's limits to make it actually look cool with the Hikaru final mission scheme - There just isn't enough room for the poses i want to do... i hope the V.2 can deliver. Already know the v.2 can do a good rifle pose for taking out Boldoza.
  13. Yep! Minmay will look great next to the SDF-1 1/5000, hope CM delivers with Misa! Then pilot figs like Hikaru and Roy, that would be icing on the cake.
  14. And it's pwetty to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu They need to shoot out bundle packs, i could be tempted. Agree with Ghostkiller, it's not about which company is developing what, it's the final product we are bitching about. Why, i remember Y brand trying to bring out the 1/100 VF-0S, we bitched hard, and they re-thought their mistakes, whislt the 25 DX is no way that cailbur of crap, essentially it's the same d. NugundamII your bandai's bitch.
  15. You all wanna know what male models think of the DX? Good to have fans hey Bandai
  16. Stumbled upon this by random browsing, sweet! http://www.monkeyjourneytothewest.com/the-.../dates-tickets/ I'm one to really enjoy opera in any form actually, i've see Macbeth (Макбет in russian as i saw it in St Petersberg) and it was filth. Loved it. This however would be spectacular! Wonder when it's gonna come to aussie (if it ever does!) http://www.gorillaz.com/flash.html MUNKEH!!!
  17. I only have his "Dawn" ST, which i quite liked, fitting for the trippy TPB i boguht ages back. Have no idea what he's like other than that though.
  18. Ahh yes, If only they chilled out for a bit, got themselves some orange mocha frappuccino... Couldn't they have just gotten along instead of all the fighting and senseless violence? Such a waste... .... XD!
  19. I've been downloading the higher quality ones (MKV) i'll see if GG subs has that type. Thanks. :edit: [got all the lunar epis (MKV) downloaded! phew!] Now, to plan for the marathon.... heh heh Thankyou Lunar! And every other Subber for all your hard work and efforts!
  20. Dominion Tank Police would be pretty awesome as a live movie. I quite liked the series as well from what i vaguely remember....
  21. A bit sad on my part for SOC/SPEC collection, i got SOC Eva-02 and 01, and SPEC 01... will collect EVA-02 SPEC or rebuild spec if it comes out. Was gonna get the SOC Eva-04 as i was just loving the build back then but decided against it in the end. Out of all the SOC's out there i'd probably want to get the Gunbuster. i'll check and see which ones i'd get and make a wish list of soughts. :edit: ok here's the list - http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?searchpage=to...20of%20Chogokin i'd likeeeeeeeeeeeee... GUNBUSTER http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN941668 - the unltimate imo bad ass super robot. If they ever do re-issuse the Gunbuster, i'll probably crack and get one. SPEC Eva-02 http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN951626 - only if the REbuild Eva-02 is dissapointing with worse design and crappy accessories. GX-39 Baikanfu http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN950081 - wow! Dragonar 01 http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN950083 - Love the design, never watched the anime. GX-41S Reideen http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN952747 - Pretty damn cool. He's got a bow and super robot arrow, that's bad ass! Great accesories. Soul of Chogokin GX-44S Tetsujin 28 & Black Ox Set http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN955486 - These are damn cool looking super robots! (If i was just to get a couple of high quality s/robots for my kids, i'd choose these without a doubt.) Voltes http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN939672 - I loved multi vehicle combiners as a kid (Voltron lions and one other i can't remember) Maybe i'll treat myself to a Voltes one day.... hehehheh Rocket boobies!!! - http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN925449 nah only one i'd get from the mazinger series is the ultimate Mazinkaiser, which sadly was released as a SOC toy or atleast as good as quality, but i can't find it on the hlj.com list. That would be my ultimate buy other than the Gunbuster....
  22. almost down'd the whole 25 episodes! Now gotta read up what version instead of Lunar for the 25th...
  23. 2 versions of crap and 1 model
  24. Can't vote till i actually get my hands on a v.2 1/60....
  25. Awesome poseables they are. Still prefer the SOC overall (diecassssssssstttttttttt), but the Spec factor with removeable armour just adds. No news yet of the next Eva-02? I didn't end up getting that Spec 02, as there was news of the Rebuild Eva-02....
