Well. Didn't Kawamori and Masumune work together for the first Ghost In The Shell movie?
I'd love to see them work together on an independent series, movie, OAV, etc.
If you can show me a Forum that doesn't have it's fair share of pessimists then by all means go ahead. I don't think I've ever been to a Forum where everyone agreed on every single issue. Personally, it's nice to see that everyone has their opinions (whether it's good or bad).
The production values seem to be pretty high for a Trek fan film. Nurse Chapel also looks pretty hot. Good actors, great looking sets, costumes, and CG (for a TOS series).
The Tachikoma's seem to have the same laid back attitude towards work, I wonder if they'll end up going back to the lab (like the first season). I guess they decided to drop those Tachikoma reports at the end of each episode. Oh well.
I hope they'll make some Tachikoma figures. That'd kick MAJOR ass.
Here's a 1:24 Takara Binaltech Smokescreen (scaled to match a 1:48) next to a 1:48 Yamato VF-1S (in Battroid Mode). I sure hope I did this right.
Sorry abou my crappy photochop. I did this in a couple of minutes.
Clive Owen's a good wheelman, but that's as far as he should go. He's not suave enough (IMHO), whatever happened to that idea of the first female 007?
....and I thought the producers were going to have a spinoff with Jinx (Halle Berry's character from Die Another Day).
I had some trouble getting the 3rd episode (KONSPIRA version), the download speed varied near the 99% mark. It eventually finished but it took a bit longer than expected.
I didn't have any trouble with the 4th episode (LMF version), the speeds were constant.
Wgt should I hate you? For one, you're in Singapore where imported toys are availabe. You're lucky. Peoole like me that live in the United States have to wait another week or two.
Enjoy yer Rau. More pics!
Too big. Not enough playability and they take up too much space.
I hope this doesn't get into Dutch Wife terittory (yup...I just saw episode 3 or GITS:SAC 2nd GIG).
I'd pick up a SDF-1 if Yamato made one....and they'd probably end up releasing the DYRL first (granted if it does come out in the future). If it sells well enough expect a recsulpt with new arms.
One of the reasons I've criticized the Oscars for many years. L.A. Confidential was a great film and certainly deserved more than Titanic.
I was also pretty miffed when they gave the Best Picture Oscar to Shakespear In Love (over my favorite pick of that year Saving Private Ryan).
The Sith Lords don't want us posting that pic? If they want me to take it down then it'll be gone. Must not upset them or I'll feel the power of the darkside.
What has this thread turned into? Man breasts?
I'm glad that LOTR swept the Oscars. But it also makes me want to see Master and Commander, Lost in Translation, and 21 Grams.
Time to save this thread with beauty.
I think the technology in Macross Zero could very well happen (just not in my lifetime).
Shoji Kawamori struck anime gold with his VF-1 design. It's a design that doesn't require tons of anime magic (much like the Eva Series), the schematics have been displayed in countless Macross lineart. Plus it's transformable! Which means multi-tasking.
Like many of the MW'ers I also grew up watching Robotech. It wasn't until 1989 that I found out about Macross: DYRL and I've been a Macross fan ever since. Don't get me wrong.....there's a nostalgic feeling that comes over me when I watch Robotech: The Macross Saga. Something that I didn't get when I was watching my ADV Boxset of Genesis Climber Mospeada.
It's all apples and oranges (Robotech being the chemically altered apple ).
