from IGN.com - July 22, 2004 - IGN FilmForce has learned that the live-action feature film version of The Transformers will indeed be a DreamWorks project, which confirms rumors that appeared online earlier this week. DreamWorks Pictures has inked a deal with toy king Hasbro to make The Transformers; Paramount Pictures will handle the foreign rights. Also confirming earlier Web buzz, DreamWorks honcho Steven Spielberg did indeed use his personal relationship with Hasbro founder Alan Hassenfeld to bring The Transformers over to DreamWorks. Even better, Hasbro and DreamWorks have agreed to get Transformers going very quickly, with a 2006 release date already set! Furthermore, G.I. Joe producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura may become involved with the project in some capacity on behalf of Paramount. Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto are already onboard to produce Transformers. Expect the trades to confirm this report sometime very soon. IGN FilmForce has been able to sneak a peek at a press release which includes quotes from producers DeSanto and Murphy. "Like X-Men, Transformers offers an amazing mythology with all the elements to create a successful ongoing franchise, iconic characters, global themes, and a world that has never been seen before on screen," said DeSanto. "We hope that this will be the first in a franchise that is embraced by fans and newcomers alike." "If you go to places which are the pop culture zeitgeist center, places like this week's San Diego Comic-Con, you won't find many that engender as much enthusiasm as Transformers," said Murphy. "I have a message board on my site where most of my projects have several hundred postings from fans – when Transformers recently hit 8000 postings I knew we had something really incredible." Needless to say, The Transformers are based on the hugely popular Japanese toy line from the 1980s, which spawned a few comic book series and a hit TV show. Cartoon Network is readying another animated Transformers series.

Whoa. I just saw the intro video from www.unspacy.de and it was pretty damn good (for a game released in 2001). Is this game canon? They're on a Megaroad-class ship? Is Moarmia (sp) one of their daughters? The theme song is kinda catchy. Let's go! Bring it on! It fits the three aces just perfectly.

Correct me if I'm wrong but what happens to the pilot's seat when going from Fighter to Battroid Mode? I know the seat rotates 90 degrees upward. BUT does it also move INTO the chest area? I was watching DYRL last night and was a bit curious. When Kamijin attacks Focker's VF-1S I always thought that Focker was seated in the chest area. For example. 1. When Kamijin punches the chest area (air brake) we see Focker's console being smashed inwards. BUT 2. When Kamijin rips off the blast shield Focker is clearly seen behind it. What's the deal? Is he supposed to be in the chest or cockpit during Battroid Mode? Was this an animation mistake? Am I thinking too much about this?

I liked Obi Wan's fighter (in AOTC) a lot more than this one.

As a Niner fan I'm gonna vouche for everything you just said. Sure he's caught some GREAT passes during his tenure with San Francisco, but he's also dropped or fumbled plenty of important ones too. I even have his jersey sitting inside my closet, but for THAT price it's too great to pass up, Maybe I'll pass by Best Buy for a price match.

Seeing as how he looks too old to play the role of Data (have you seen him in Nemesis...... ) I'm sure the role of Dr. Soong's grandfather will be a nice change of pace. But knowing Brent Spiner (who's wanted to kill of the character since First Contact) who knows that he'll do next.

Angle also came out (sans wheelchair and leg cast) and interferred with Guerrero and Bradshaw's match. Does this mean they're setting up for an Angle vs. Guerrero match for a future WWE PPV? I can't stand seeing Angle as a horrid Smackdown GM, it's too bad about his injuries becuase a wrestler like him deserves the spotlight.

Out of all the Japanese Films I've been itching to watch this is the ONLY one I haven't seen (same for Ichi the Killer because I'm kinda scared to watch that one).
