  1. I used to live in Riverside just a couple years ago and then as soon as I leave Cheech opens up a museum there. I guess there wasn’t enough room for both of us in that town. I’ll probably check this out. My favorite movie with Cheech will always be Born in East LA, but I did always feel a little down that Chong was missing from it.
  2. They’ll possibly do one one day, but for now it’s manual labor time
  3. I guess the little guy wasn’t enough, so now they’re doing 1/48 kits
  4. I saw a few conversions for that kit that looked really great. One was for the J that they just put the preorder for and another was for the cannon type that looked even cooler. I kept telling myself that it would be a waste of time since a Bandai variant, I didn’t realize that it would take them a decade or so. Hoping that Bandai doesn’t wait too long to do a cannon variant
  5. I have no doubt they’re planning on releasing those, and they’re gonna be pretty great.
  6. They probably will. Might be a web exclusive though
  7. A bunch of kits went up for preorder for the new Gundam show. I didn’t care, but something that totally surprised me was the Gallus from ZZ Gundam has an hg kit. I figured it wouldn’t be too hard to do since there was a Unicorn version that seems to be one of the rarest standard releases ever. But I guess I was surprised that this is a standard release as well
  8. I’ll wait and see if they do the A type
  9. Wave’s pricing isn’t really that bad for a smaller company. Hg Bandai kits are starting to creep up into the mid thirties these days. As an example for a smaller 1/35 kit of the scopedog without the cockpit and downform parts, it’s about thirty bucks and has extra hands, round mover back pack and a machine gun. A fairly good amount of plastic. 1/100 destroids don’t even have hands or extra weapons or back packs. I’d still expect they’d probably be near that range more or less
  10. Yeah, it looks pretty great actually.
  11. I have a feeling that they didn’t include those due to possible upcoming releases that might be just around the corner
  12. Nice pick. I like their earlier stuff the best. Sort of a folk band smashed into a punk band kinda sound at the time.
  13. Looks like one of the Ikaruga models is getting a rerelease, probably a good sign that the other one will as well in the near future
  14. I’ve been hearing that as well. Basically not as good as the greats, but far better than the majority of the films , especially the recent ones. I didn’t think as many people would check this one out, but family, friends and coworkers have gone out and watched it. I guess not much to do on the long weekend or something. Most of them really had fun with it, although there were a few that I talked to that weren’t too impressed but no one that hated it yet so far out of the people I know.
  15. I remember the toy versions being very thin looking. A kit may be better, but those legs are supposed to be fairly chonky. They’d probably have to swap those out for fighter mode to keep it looking like the line art. I kinda wonder if it might be something that Max Factory is planning since they did the fire Valkyrie kit and might do the 17 variants at some point
  16. Yeah, alclad looks amazing under other clear color or under clear plastics like the backing of clear sensors or headlights. It’s one of those things that often looks absolutely amazing in person, but can be really hard to photograph to show others how great it turns out
  17. My daughter went with her fiance yesterday and said it’s not a perfect movie, but they had fun anyway and liked it. I may check it out, but probably will still wait for D+. They sent me a picture of the popcorn bucket and at least it’s not pervya little weird that its like your eating his brains
  18. You mean B2five. Toynami usually doesn’t seem make anything
  19. Yeah, not only the roughness of the colors, but all the individual extra scribing for added panels and those extra sensors. It’s a lot of added work
  20. That’s a good one. Really made it his own
  21. Most of them sort of have careers that are active. Maybe not all in great spots, but they don’t look too bad mostly for their ages. Are they going to be the main characters? And will it leave the planning stages?
  22. Probably lots of stickers
