  1. I thought it was just an alternate package. I’m ok with two figures though if that is the case. It seems less expensive than their other cloth covered figures since there’s supposedly two

I am a bit skeptical over whether there are two figures in one box though and hopefully there are. I guess we’ll find out for sure soon

IKR... Both my parents (mom 82, dad 75) and my FIL (80) all have crappy health and Carl Weathers who looked to be in good shape and still working suddenly dies at 76. Carl could have had some underlying health problem, genetics, etc that we don't know about but still doesn't seem right that he died.

It’s unfortunate, but Males tend to have an average of around the 70’s whether there’s problems or not. The numbers kinda jump around a bit though. But some do live longer and some that have lived worse. When it’s time to go the best we can hope for is a peaceful night. The family had said that that was how he went. Peacefully in the night and for all the great roles he’s given us, I think that’s a great gift.

He will surely be missed, but he has a great legacy to look back on.

    Nice detail and articulation

The joints are actually very simplistic, but a few kaiyodo toys around the time had similar joint styles. They were barely jointed, but the joint angles made it appear to get very dynamic poses with simple movement. The simplicity kinda made them fun to pose since it felt like no matter what, the pose would end up forced into a cool looking position.

There were also some really cool little Devil May Cry trading figures that were similarly made for the first and second games. I think there was another line, but I’m forgetting the name right now

Has anyone here given Amazon Prime's Hazbin Hotel a whirl?

Slightly greedy ad-free markup aside, I just finished watching the eight episode first season and found it to be surprisingly engaging.  The premise was unusual enough to get my attention from the word "go", and the songs are surprisingly well written.  If it weren't for all the profanity and occasional cartoon gore or the fact that it's set in literal Hell, you could almost mistake it for a standard Disney musical.

I haven’t seen the actual show, but had seen the pilot a couple years ago along with Helluva Boss on YouTube

Toy maker? Saw a destroid advertised on  Mandarake... had never seen the brand before.  Came to realize they've been around since the 1960s and get credited for popularizing the gashapon industry?

No idea what scale or articulation level these are either but they look better than a KO since presumably they got licensed.

Looks like they did 5 types, VF-1s,j,armored, tomahawk and z-battlepod...

I love those little Kayodo trading figures. My favorite was the Tomahawk IMG_1466.jpeg.b8d8bc0b7e7e3cf324efb685eda77e36.jpegIMG_1465.jpeg.9bcec11791050fb26982a57fa7279ff7.jpeglots of fun for lil guys

The YF-19 was a really quick build, maybe a couple hours, most of which was just cutting and trimming the parts.

Really wish they would consider doing full 1/72 kits like they did Frontier and Delta designs, I'd build a ton of those.

I think Bandai did these as 1/100 hg kits to be partsforming since they usually save 1/72 for more of a full transformation gimmick. Kinda like how the hg gundam kits are pretty great to look at and pose, but the gimmicks usually get more elaborate with the larger scales.

I do have a feeling that Max Factory may jump on a 1/72 non transforming kit since they have announced a 1/72 vf-19 battroid and they may end up eventually doing plus stuff.

Sorry if I got this in the wrong thread, but Hobby Lobby has these canvas prints for about $25-30 (full size photo for detail). The print wraps around the edges.  - MT

It probably is the wrong thread, but I gotta say that that does look really cool

My YF-21 should be coming in soon.  Need to find time to build this and the HG YF-19.

I snapped up my 19’s to see where I need to deal with seams and such, got my first 21 last week and my Moderoid Orgus this week, but haven’t done anything with those. Glued parts for the Queadluun Rau and wishing I had more time off for these projects

    Scotty.

If you hadn’t have said Scotty, I wouldn’t have known who this was supposed to be.
He looks so angry, like he’s tired of everything the red shirts have gone through over the years and is now aggressively starting the infamous Red Shirt Rebellion

Pursuing ambitious scratchbuild endeavor for SK's brilliant prototype & concept designs, but not sure what some of the accessory items are... In this first set of images on the VF-1SOL are these  mini-missiles?  Or something else?  And the expanding/retracting vanes on the shoulder units?

Eh, Gundam in general has a stupid habit of appending distinct model numbers to the most minor of modifications. The very first thing that comes to my mind is the Exia Repair, which managed to get an official spot in the lineage of the Exia despite literally just being a beat-to-crap Exia jury-rigged into barely working order. Imagine your Honda Civic gets totaled, you straighten out its frame, duct tape some flashlights and hand mirrors, and replace the wheels and the front hood from an old Fiat 500 that happened to be lying around, and you call it the Honda Civic Kai. No, wait. You dangle a worn cloth from the missing passenger-side door that billows coolly in the wind, and THEN call it the Honda Civic Kai.

In that sense, I don't see anything particularly offensive about these new revisions upon revisions upon revisions of the Strike Gundam. I still can't tell any of them apart from one another, but then I was also never going to be a fan of this show that wasn't aimed at me anyway, so oh well. I'm sure the people who are meant to like it will like it well enough.

Some of the Zeon-inspired designs look alright, though. The Z'Gok is kind of mid, like a worse attempt at the Amazing Z'Gok from... Build Fighters...?, but it's not bad.

    N2393109001001_002.jpg

Also, not shown in the magazine scans, but there's apparently a Gyan Storm, which doesn't look bad. IIRC that backpack is taken from like a Zaku or Gouf variant, right? The shape of it looks familiar, anyway.

    banh663078_0.jpg

Yeah, the build fighters Z’Gok looks like slightly better garbage.

I like the legs on the gyan and the arms aren’t offensive, but the chest has a weird lazy Lego brick kinda look and the head looks like an odd transformers design reject from the season that came after the movie.  Overall though, it’s rather ugly

Yeah but only the five richest kings of Europe can afford a flying car 😜

I’m ok with that. The public needs to learn to drive the road responsibly before they can be trusted with the skies

You'd think there would be a EV Kaneda style bike by now but I said the same about flying cars too, lol. I also recall when colored tires was gonna be a thing that was in development but that went nowhere too

Flying cars have been around for a while. But I’m glad they aren’t available to the public. People get in enough crazy accidents on the road, imagine the damage they will cause when they take to the skies in mass.
