    We saw it last night and really liked it. It’s not one of the bigger epic marvel films, but a bit more toned down to deal with her learning her powers. When she finally lets loose it’s the best depiction of comic book super powers ever done in live action. It visually looked so great that I can’t wait to see her go all out in a much more epic sized battle in the upcoming Avengers film. I think the bad reviews are people just expecting a bigger movie rather than an introductory origin film.

    Whenever someone brings up Depeche Mode I always remember the Venture Brothers episode when the Monarch is stuck in line for the restroom.

    I was looking for my old Airwolf kit that I built when I was little, but can’t find it. I thought it was odd that they gave the option to build it as the non weopnized civilian version as though anyone would buy an airwolf and not put weapons or armor on it.

    They don’t look expensive at all, but if they drop down in price I’d be tempted due to the customization options.

    I would gloss coat parts that need decals before and after applying them. You can then do the weathering either over the gloss for a more clean look or dull coat it for a more gritty look. Then seal it with dull coat. Those kits actually look great out of the box.

    I checked them out last week while preordering some other items. I guess you buy a main robot kit and then you customize it with weapon sets and specialized armor sets. But I don’t know what it’s from if anything.

    I was hearing this one has a lower budget than the last film. I think it’s the amount of makeup effects in the old ones vs cgi of the new one. Those characters in th golden army took an army to make.

    I was looking at that while I checked for the gp01 and gp02. Not a bad price at all for the vt1. There’s some other interesting items for sale as well.

    I think the kaempfer would also be an re kit. The track record for recent zeon mg kits has been disappointing. CCA had 2 of the mobile suits as mg kits and the geara doga used a mostly existing frame and the jagd doga just got the re treatment. The recent mg kits seem to be just reusing existing frames or if a new frame comes out it’s for an item that can have multiple variations using that frame. as far as 0080 goes most of the zeon designs don’t really look they’d work with the newer frames. The amphibious suits are probably far too unique to get the mg treatment. The dom and gelgoog have a higher chance of an mg since there are other variations of those suits, but they could just be to proportionally different like the zaku.

    I preordered th Alex and the egg crossbone, but I’m holding off on the zaku for now. I’ll probably cave soon though.

    Looks like China is picking up the tab for a sequel with their box office numbers. Hopefully the trend keeps up and the film goes over well worldwide.

    Did another version have non yellow eyes? Most variation designs of the 78 had the iconic yellow eyes, but there were a few with green and maybe blue. I don’t own many of the fix figurations though so I don’t have any of those variations to compare.

    Yeah, this has the look I’ve been waiting for. It’s the closest pose able item for the gp01 to compare with the original design.
