Bandai kits will definitely over spoil a builder. I not long ago do the G-Line standard armor. Super tiny nubs and absolutely no seams to fill, the dang thing went together smooth like legos

I think that’s pretty far away. The last episode barely showed a lady’s butt. They seem so afraid of female nudity these days.

While I never was a fan, he was a personality that nobody that grew up during the 80’s could miss or even forget. He was on every show sometimes a little and sometimes a lot

The Alien/Predator/Aliens vs. Predator Thread
Big s replied to VT 1010's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Personally, it’s one of those things that were better left completely unexplained. When I first saw the movie long before Prometheus, I thought maybe it was the ship of some unknown race and somewhere among its travels had accidentally picked up one of the face huggers that eventually found the navigator. I kinda thought maybe after bursting out of its chest had eventually grown to lay those eggs. of course that thought never really explained the field over the eggs. It had to have been transporting the eggs for a purpose of some kind, but I never thought of it as a bomber with a horrifying biological weapon. Unfortunately, finding out the reason to the mystery wasn’t nearly as interesting as the mystery itself -

I’d agree with you if that happened in the second movie, but it just felt cheap that they did everything off screen. As it is , it feels like the end of the second movie was totally pointless. It’s like it totally undoes a perfect ending with an imperfect beginning of the next film. It’s definitely a better movie than the sequels and prequels that followed Prey was great, but I try to pretend that Aliens and Predators never mixed franchises. Even with that Queen Skull at the end of the second movie. It just makes things better to think of them as totally separate -
The Acolyte - Disney Plus Star Wars Series

No matter the background, it’s still under D+ and more than likely they’d screw it up with bad writing. The basic plot for this show and many others could have worked if the hired writers that were worth it. Unfortunately they can only hire the mentally deficient for every franchise they’ve been running lately -

WAVE 1/100 VF-1S/A Strike/Super Valkyrie (Battroid & Fighter)
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Model kits
That’s actually why I just picked up a set. I have a feeling that Bandai will eventually get around to it, but it’s probably gonna be a while. They’ve got an issue with selling their kits on Japanese sites to foreign buyers and selling these in the states is another roadblock since harmony gold will probably pull some licensing costs Bandai doesn’t usually like to pay. It puts what would more than likely be a far superior kit in limbo for a while. And they know the vf-1 is way more popular stateside than any other design. And currently the only site that can sell Bandai kits in Japan seems to be hlj that limits the amount of kits to a 1 per customer thing. i also think Bandai is gonna cash in on the availability of other Macross series with that Disney deal and probably do a bunch of kits from zero and Frontier and Delta and maybe even stuff from 2 and a vf-4 . So for now as far as 1/100 VF-1, it’s gonna be wave kits for a bit. I already have the basic 1A set from years ago and it fairly decent. I didn’t have the cash for the super or strikes when the originally released and just picked up the supers for now. It would be kind of interesting to see if Wave would do 1/100 destroids or zentraedi mecha, but that’s wishful thinking for now. -
Looking for info on the Uncut VHS release of DYRL circa 1995
Big s replied to Darkwater's topic in Movies and TV Series
I had questions about that one as well. I remember seeing clash of the bionoids on the cover of some of the vhs copies and thought it was something to do with Robotech and having that odd time between Macross and Southern cross or something. We didn’t have internet back in those days to point us in the right direction. Just had to rent it and find out. Stunning animation and derpy voice acting galore. I know Roy was supposed to be drunk in a couple scenes, but the whole cast sounded either drunk or high. I kinda miss it now -

WAVE 1/100 VF-1S/A Strike/Super Valkyrie (Battroid & Fighter)
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Model kits
It’s totally understandable. But it is pretty good for 1/100 builders even though it’s almost a 10 or more year old kit. It probably would have done better if it got this kind of attention on its original release -
That’s one of those bands that have been around so long, but haven’t dropped in quality. I do prefer their first couple albums, but the others usually have pretty good stuff. I also love that version of Spillways with Joe Elliot on vocals that Ghost put out a year or so ago

It fits quite a bit of my Valk scale. Most of mine are Hasegawa and Bandai and some Wave and now Max Factory. The rest of what I have are 1/100 and a few not really 1/100

It’s also a Disney movie, so I’ll expect a failure. Although, I’d love to be wrong. It is a pretty good cast- 41 replies

WAVE 1/100 VF-1S/A Strike/Super Valkyrie (Battroid & Fighter)
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Model kits
The only major complaint that I have is the cost for displaying all three modes since you need to buy two battroid kits and two fighter kits, so four kits to display them all. They do also have a bit of a thick look in the body as well as the 1S head. I personally prefer their 1A head. The Gerwalk is also a bit of an odd one since the joints are weird and the knee covers have to be left off. Also , with the TV Skull1 in Roy’s old colors, they only have movie hands and a movie pilot. Definitely not as fun as Plamax, but more fun than Hasegawa. -
