Looks amazing 

A pretty good ending to a good show. The epilogue was surprisingly strong. 

I didn’t meet her until last year and she had already seen most of the Marvel movies, but hadn’t seen the Spider-Man ones. I kinda recently found that out when we were taking a look at the available movies on d+. Iron man 3 was the only other one she had missed. She also hadn’t seen any of the Netflix shows so we just finished off Daredevil season one and are starting Jessica Jones

Yeah, sorry my wording was a bit off. That’s basically what I was trying to say. 

I was just curious since my lady friend hasn’t seen either homecoming or far from home. I only own homecoming and had been thinking about renting the second one, but it seems a bit pricey right now. I figured it would save some cash if they come out on d+. She wants to watch them together and we were just hoping they would pop up before no way home comes out. 

Will homecoming and far from home be available before far from home gets released?

I’m glad they were kind enough to at least offer free shipping on that $30,000 dollar purchase 

Honestly from the teaser pictures the hg version looks better to me. Usually it’s not so much scale, but which kit is newer usually looks better. Like a lot of the mg gm kits from 0080 look better than the hg or how the hguc sazabi looked better than the first mg Sazabi.

as far as the teasers go the hg nightingale looks proportioned a bit better and may be more pose able. The weight of the smaller kit may help in some regards, but it’s interesting that the price is very close to the re/100

I wasn’t as excited for the hi nu or the nightingale, but they ended up a bonus for the items I was really excited about and those were the rg decals for the Sazabi and nu gundam. I knew they would do them eventually, but I didn’t think it would take so long. I also ordered the Hathaway set. Soon I’ll finally get around to building those two rg kits. Honestly I didn’t even know those were coming out last night 

Can’t wait for this.

Falcon did seem a bit jealous 

The thing an alternate universe story doesn’t have to do is be faithful to the original story and characters and source material. As long as they stay faithful to the basics and hire a few decent actors, then it could have some real potential. The effects on Netflix shows have been much better than some big budget films, so I’m not too worried about that in a Netflix Gundam movie. As long as the story isn’t totally stupid and the actors can hold up the action, it’ll work out. But who knows, it could also just fail miserably. We’ll have to wait and see. I might just be happy if it a cheesy mess like Robot Jox 

I know there’s a lot of hate for the new Captain America, but to me it’s one of those characters that is needed . I think Wyatt took on a character that’s supposed to be hated and plays it perfectly and adds a great complication to the overall story. And those odd head tilts really remind me of his dad. Every time his head tilts to the side I keep thinking he’s about to  say “Call me Snake”

I remember those from what feels like a long while back. They do look great.

For me it’s og macross including dyrl, m+, and then frontier and then 2 is a far departure. Everything else gets the “what the heck was I watching and why can’t I stop” reaction.

 I really hope that something really unique happens with all this and we get a great show for a new generation that doesn’t have to rely so heavily on pop songs. A bit isn’t too bad, but relying on it is getting ridiculous 

Yeah, to be honest I was trying to figure out where that one came from as well. It seems pretty obscure. I don’t know if I have ever seen it at all

I’m honestly surprised that Bandai keeps adding to this line. They usually give up much sooner leaving people disappointed that they didn’t do their favorite designs or obscure oddities 

I think I have to agree with Seto. A new timeline would be the best solution since you won’t have anyone complaining about ruined story lines or miss treated characters. They could start fresh with a story and have designs that don’t have to look like they belong too closely with something preexisting. A masked bad guy and giant robots with the main character piloting one with a v fin would be the main requirements. Beyond that the reasons for conflict and character types would be free range.

It would be funny if it was a build fighters type thing using stop motion for the fights

Hopefully all the questions will be answered soon. I’m sure that all the shows and films will get released or even rereleased with both subs and dubs, but as far as merch, I’m not so sure. 

I remember not long ago there were issues with Bandai regarding Star Wars items being released outside of Japan due to similar items licensed by companies here, so my big question is if we’re going have the same issue with Macross? There are other companies doing similar items here in the U.S., will those companies block Bandai and or Arcadia?

 I really do hope that everything does turn out ok and that maybe this gives a push for the Japanese companies to put out more macross products. Personally I would love to see a revive of the macross hmr series or some more models from wave or those super cool little tomy tech kits and it would be great if it was a bit easier to get in a preorder for the dx line.

This movie is dumb and there’s no way I can deny it. But it’s dumb fun and pretty much free. It also happens to be highly intelligent compared to kotm. This is one of those check your brain at the door kinda things. The last movie garbage and unlike able while this one was a charming hot mess
