It's been a while since I watched gunm and I never read the comics, but I remember her being very young or at least appearing that way. The movie better have a rocket hammer and exploding dog.

Ghost in the Shell Live Action - March 31, 2017
Big s replied to Mechinyun's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That first game made me dizzy. I got stuck on the side of a colum once and all I could do was move forward and I couldn't tell which way I was pointing because I was just going around and around. The other odd thing was that you could shoot things at a distance and they would act like you weren't there until they died.- 751 replies

The description said stickers, so I'm out.

The price on the 1a was very low for what you get. For the most part it's a basic Valkyrie, but there are still some good options. The average price is $50-$55. Not bad for this day and age. Most of the destroids should probably be close to the same price based on size and accessories and being non transformable. It kills me to have to wait about two months just to hear news on the next preorder.

I actually don't mind the limit. It gives a better chance of getting an item that may have a very high demand and limits the scalping on e-bay.

I went ahead and ordered another from cd japan. I think I'll stick with2 and see if a web exclusive pops up later with fast packs or if the release the packs seperate I still have the two. I just don't want an army of 1a's and no one to fight. Was there a differance between the tv packs and the ones on the standard 1a from the movie. I know the movie skull squadron ones looked a bit larger, but it has been a while since I watched the movie.

Ghost in the Shell Live Action - March 31, 2017
Big s replied to Mechinyun's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I hope that this film can find a way around all this mess and be one of a start of good big budget films based on an anime. And hopefully one day we will start to see more mainstream movies starring good actors and actresses of all races. With the majority of California bent Hispanic I'm surprised we don't see more leading roles for Hispanic people, let alone other people.- 751 replies

I really hope they resize the 1a tv pilot. He looks too small for these. The1a was a bit of a surprise for a September release, now I'm curious about the next release after that, probably November.

I have a feeling that it will mostly be delta stuff.

I was looking at the line art for that78-01n and for once the hguc feet look too small on the kit. The line art shown next to the kit has feet as long as most gndams, but the kit ones look too short.

Ghost in the Shell Live Action - March 31, 2017
Big s replied to Mechinyun's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Most of macross is filled with characters that are not Asian, I'm not even a hundred percent Hikaru is full Japanese. As far as Ghost in the Shell goes most of the characters look like Japanese people I work around. Motoko could just body swap to look like Scarlet though and maybe that should be in the first few minutes of the film.- 751 replies

I was wondering about that gm getting a web release since they did the rd4. The zaku could easily be kit bashed to completion with existing parts, but I think the gm had specific parts here and there that weren't on the type c.

I just can't imagine Hollywood being able to do anything good for Jem. Mask might be a stretch as well. I loved the cartoon as a kid, but a live action film may just be one of the worst films to come from an 80s toy/cartoon.- 32 replies

I have 2pf those doms waiting to be built. I hate stickers, but I love the look of the markings. I would like to try to have someone print a copy of those as water slide decals. I have never really had success with decal printing.

A non crap Jem movie is probably not possible. I just can't see how it could be done. The cartoon was torture for young boys and only a fraction of girls watched it and almost no one in this generation know anything about this other than word of a recent failed movie.- 32 replies

I loved Visionaries as a kid. Funky Knights with hologram stickers of animals on their chest. Whenever I bring up the show or action figures to people I know, no one knows what I'm talking about. They all know g.i. Joe, Transformers and Mask, but none have heard of Visionaries. On one hand I'm very interested in a movie, but I can't see that as part of the same universe. Also was there a real fan base for this.- 32 replies

I rewatched avatar not too long ago and it really doesn't hold up. When I first saw it in 3D I thought it was great. I recommended it to everyone I know. It of course was when non red blue 3D was new for full length films and it really made me feel like I was in that world. It was almost like the first time as a kid going to Disneyland and riding the Haunted mansion and being amazed at this amazing supernatural world around you. The rewatch was without 3D and it was like being an adult going on that ride and just saying things like "they did that with mirrors". Since the visuals were flattened everything wrong with the movie became visible, like the boring story or the boring characters, or the uninspired mecha that would give anyone a bad back after that drop.
