I think these should have their own thread. There are some very interesting designs. Like a cross between iron blooded orphans and border break. Even standing stances remind me a bit of dunbine and some unique entries like the one above and even an interesting transport truck. They even appear to have customization options since there are a few plug holes on the arms, shoulders, and back. I hope the show is as good as the designs, because I went all in and preordered the full set of kits.

It’s definitely hard to see the blue. If you hadn’t mentioned it I wouldn’t have noticed.

I have to admit that I preordered the ultimates. I haven’t bought a G.I. Joe figure in a long time. I wasn’t that excited about most of the new ones since they didn’t really have the feel of the classic that I remember and when they came out they were stupid difficult to find. I know those are easier to get now, but the ultimate series may be pricey, but that Snake Eyes is what I remember from the old cartoon and never got as a kid. Even over the years they always try to make him more of a ninja than the comando he was in the original series. The Duke is also spot on as well as the other figures so far. Even the oddball laser looking pistols look like what I remember in the show. I’m old now, so my memory may be fuzzy on that last one though

I have to agree, these look really great. They look so much like what I always wanted from a G.I.Joe toy. They look just like the classic cartoon designs that non of the previous toys ever had. I do think it’s odd they went with the b.a.t.s instead of a standard trooper, but they did a great job on it

So her mom had an odd relationship with a red panda. They are cuddly and all, but that went a bit far

I’ve never been one to stay with a single scale, but I do understand why many people do. I guess being a macross fan I would have skipped a lot of cool stuff that was only1/100 or 1/72 or many of the other scales. It would be great if every time a favorite franchise of mine made the absolute best and complete toy line, but in my years I’ve never been lucky that way.
For those willing to try a new scale at least there will be the new beaver ride armors, and who knows, maybe more bad guys to fight.
And you never know, maybe a more reputable company may see a demand if these sell well at places like bbts or collector shows and make products of these alien mecha in a scale that fits their other releases.

All gundam has had the same basic crazy bad guy take over thing, but narrative was the same crazy bad guy with the same machine and obviously out of his mind. The og series felt understandable, zeta and zz had more of a good retry, CCA I think was confusing since the majority of neozeon didn’t want what Char wanted, unicorn made no sense towards the end. But I feel like the anger of the past is what drove them.
Narrative was supposed to be at a time of a final reconciliation, but then they put a psycho clone of the leader they just recently fought against. The other stuff before felt kinda like a more natural thing, but I felt that Narrative went too far here even for U.C. silliness.

Just how many brainwashed Russian agents that secretly control world events are out there? Definitely felt like a rehash of Winter Soldier.
It’s definitely a rehash, but a fun rehash. I looked at it as the Russians did a budget version of the hydra winter soldier thing and mass produced it. They even had the air fortress and ripoff aircraft.

I think ink the problem with getting the numbers together on the large scale version has a lot to do with these being a U.S. release of a toy from a series that was seen here as a less popular third season to a show that already wasn’t the most popular show, by a company almost no one has ever heard of that almost no one has ever seen an actual product from. It’s kind of a huge gamble. There may even end up odd complications wit the upsizing of the toy, like weaker joints that may be worrying others from making the choice to buy.

Nice work on that Providence

I just saw the preview again. This time it was on the big screen and not on my phone. The cg is absolutely garbage and now I can see why there are so many people comparing it to the mummy. I may wait on this one until I hear a lot of good stuff from people I know

Was the frog a Thor variant?
Anyway, it looks like Alligator Loki is gonna be the big Christmas thing this year. Baby Yoda’s off to the clearance isle

My biggest complaint about narrative is the fact that some of the more important characters from unicorn, after leaving the sleeves and defeating them they rejoin and make the same mistake of making a Char clone a leader and giving him the same mobile suit and armor so he can cause more problems. There are so many dumb ideas in such a short anime. It’s gotta be the worst gundam story ever and it almost ruins the U.C. Timeline completely.
Don’t get me wrong unicorn had a rather stupid ending. That one angered me as well, since I don’t think anyone can justify that stupid multi trillion dollar treasure hunt for that worthless box. There was a lot of entertaining action and it felt like it would lead to something special, and it just felt like it was all for nothing

I actually enjoyed this one. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely a fun movie and the family thing was entertaining. It’s not quite as serious as Winer Soldier, but not as goofy as some of the others. It’s not a big thinker film though. I do think this should have come out sooner, by a few years though.

The particles in Gundam are definitely a stretch of pseudoscience. They can do anything from be a destructive beam, to being dispersed as a mist to fowl up electronics and even solidify to become a sword or even shield, and later on a helicopter blade

We went to Ikea the weekend before Hathaway hit Netflix and I saw the big bee on top of the corporate headquarters building and had the odd coincidence of seeing Jollibee on the screen a few days later. And now all my news stories that pop up on google show nothing but Jollibee related stories. I have noticed that a lot of Filipino foods have ketchup and hotdogs wieners, so if you’re ok with realizing that the spaghetti is more enjoyable, but still weird. The chicken and burgers and the fried mango pies are good, and those pies remind me of the way the clown used to make em back in the day.
I guess they never could get that license for McDonald’s

I think it looks like a fun ride in more ways than one

I was just noticing that the prototypes have different hands. I only see the holding hands on these pictures. Maybe it would be a good idea to wait til the legit release
-
I do think the transformation is a simplified one. Maybe part swapping. There are a lot of pegs and maybe things just pop into place or do a simple fold. Honestly it’s hard to tell from the pics

I would love to see some of the grunts.

I actually think these look cool. I’m surprised that they came up stateside first, I thought for sure they’d be in Japan and get rebranded a couple months down the line
-
I’m okay with She Hulk and Hawkeye getting their own shows. Loki does raise the bar a bit high for the others and those shows may only end up as good as Falcon and Winter soldier and I’d be alright with that. As long as they don’t end up as bad as Wandavision started, I’ll be happy
-
I feel you. I’m ok with waiting til amazon releases them to find out for sure

As a kid I liked some of those wild colors on action figures. As an adult I wouldn’t mind a more subdued style that could somehow stay true to the original

The white on blue cyclops is the version I’ve always been a fan of since that’s how he appeared in the comics way back when I was reading them. I know the yellow undies version is the one everyone else usually picks since that’s the one that ended up in the cartoon series, but I’ll probably get that older white and blue
