Grungy JLTV is complete. Starting to work on some stowage. Doors are not glued on. Will likely have at least a couple of them open once I settle on a diorama idea.

Had a moment of horror just before I started weathering. I was squeezing some white paint out of one of those Valejo bottles onto a pallet and had the model too close. Opening had some dried paint on it that let loose and squirted white paint on the model. I quickly was able to remove most of it, but not entirely. Had to apply some weathering a bit heavier in certain areas to hide what remained.

It turned out really great. Nice and muddy. The windshield looks awesome with those wiper streaks

Does it even need to be on the timeline?  I mean, the Legend of Zelda timeline's pretty much entirely for show and has no bearing on any of the stories that make it up.

I took a couple decades off and now he has a motorcycle and can make vehicles. Heck I don’t even remember if he could ride a horse before the 90’s

I love The Boys, it's a great show, and I'd love to collect these and a full lineup of The Seven, but these prices are insane. Coupled with the lack of accessories on most of these and it's a pass, I get Mafex is gonna Mafex, but these prices are insane.

I don’t actually buy many of the mafex figures due to price, so something has to be a favorite character done really well. I did buy Brown suit Wolverine and Gambit, but I probably won’t buy many other figures. That being said, if Hasbro would do a bit better in quality, looks and packaging I’d buy from them. For now, I’m stuck avoiding certain figures either due to being priced out from Japanese figures or being disappointed by American toys.

The only issue is that Link will almost certainly actually have dialogue... which will be every bit as weird as hearing a Mario that doesn't have Charles Martinet's over-the-top Italian accent.  Not a dealbreaker, just a weird thought as someone who's used to Link as an unspeaking protagonist.

It’s definitely gonna be a little weird hearing a voice, especially since he hasn’t had one since the early 90’s. As far as the og stuff, your inner voice reacting to his situation was basically supposed to be his voice. Wether that was screaming out in joy when you finally beat a tough spot in the game or frustration at the cost of an item and grumbling in your head about how much you wanted to smack the dude running the shop. The Link is silent thing has kinda become a bigger idea in later games especially with ones that have voice acting.
Something like breath of the wild kinda takes that away and makes Link seem almost mentally deficient. It’s a great game as far as gameplay, but the characters and cutscenes kinda suck.

I also noticed the minovsky particle detection sensor decal... sometimes you have to get creative with decals from the spares pile when your kit lacks bespoke decals.

I noticed it as well, but I had searched for images of this thing the other day and it was hard to find images other than just kite symbols. Sometimes you gotta add a little flavor to make things pop. And sometimes there’s no other decals laying around other than a few from a leftover gundam. I think the finished model looks great and if it hadn’t, I wouldn’t have been so interested in looking up images on a design that doesn’t seem to get any attention

  6. It’s been way too long since I’ve rewatched MII, I was looking for how this thing lands. I didn’t see any landing gear doors in the pictures I saw. I was assuming the stabilizers folded for landing. Does it just dock? Or just park in gerwalk?

Presumably the reason Flash Back 2012 is in the clear is that the main characters were redesigned for it and are "different enough" from the original designs used in the TV series and in DYRL to be considered legally distinct.

Personally, I usually rewatch the part with the VF-4 and Megaroad. But from what I remember 2012 had scenes from the series and movie.

I was also not sure on DYRL. Does hg hold a license on that or just that the likeness of characters and mecha are similar

Is there any reason, legally, that TPTB cannot animate a REBOOT of SDFM-TV? or is it a purely Japanese Cultural reason, they have not yet?

From my understanding there’s something to do with the character and mecha designs, which seems odd since they’re ok with 2012. I’m still a bit confused on all the legal junk and I may have misunderstood a few things

Congrats on having this awesome VF-2JA kit, I didn't know a 1/72 existed.

Come om Bandai, get off your Duff and make this amazing Valk a reality, HMR or DX, I'm good either way.

How about a hg kit as well

This is a 1/72 VF-2JA resin.  I think it should be a WF kit back to 2013.

This took me almost 1 year to finish especially due to the horrible holes on the surface.

Hope to finish another project in 2 months.

@pengbuzz ah a classic pengbuzz tape model! Awesome!

I decided to purchase SUNLU high toughness resin, thinking I would get my prints to be a bit more less brittle. It is awesome.  I can throw my print around and it doesn’t break… but…

    well…

I smashed everything I could on the build plate of my VF-9.

    IMG_6930.jpeg.b33c935747b704fefc97aa1787f5e9eb.jpeg

and also printed an army of Milias.

And you can throw them around because the stuff basically is liquid rubber.

Can be bent around like crazy and doesn’t break.

Here two additional pictures for your convenience.

After all these years it still bugs me when seeing Cyclops as the only team member being introduced without his proper outfit. 😄

I think everyone has a favorite outfit for their favorite X-Men and some have gone through a lot of costumes in what felt like a short amount of time. Personally I always like Wolverine in the brown/ yellow suit. To me it still looked super hero with a bigger hint of vicious don’t mess with him kinda look.
