  1. There’s always a slim possibility of a reissue, but it’s extremely slim since it already kinda had a reissue with the missile parts. I think the recon version will probably be the last regult that gets released unless they get around to the green version from the movie. That price isn’t too outrageous, so I would say to pick it up

  2. For almost being 100 it’s really surprising how well she spoke in interviews that were very recent. She sounded like she could have been around much longer.

On another note I was on Hulu this morning and they had her snl episode from a few years back highlighted. I guess at the time she set an age record for being the oldest female host or maybe oldest host

  3. Anybody have a favorite song or video from the past year? I think mine would have been Iron Maiden with Writing on the Wall. But there’s been a few that I’ve been liking as well like some of the new volbeat and there were some fun covers of Metallica and I’m hoping this year with things hopefully getting a little more back to normal we’ll have more new songs that artists free m all genres will be touring to support

  4. I do feel that as I said before that the scale argument will just be an argument. I do think the best way to describe it may be as personally preferred scale.

Like maybe someone could start by saying that it appears a bit short for their preferred scale, and maybe give the example of that scale. Like the above comment said the scale issue is all over the place and there is no real right or wrong here.

  5. The scale arguments will never satisfy anyone. There are those on the anime scale side that has a division between those scenes where the Zentradi are as tall as the Valkyrie, which makes perfect sense since Max was able to easily wear a uniform over his 1a. And there are scenes where the Glaug looks the same size as a battroid as well. And then there are those that go by the line art that make some Zentradi barely taller than the hip compared to others, so the mecha ends up a bit between the anime scales. I kinda think the designers and animators didn’t have a real scale at all and were just told to make things big, but not given enough specific dimensions to go on. As far as the regult kit, it looks good and found an interesting way to hide its joints so I’m sure I’ll be happy. There are scenes and design pictures that make it look wider and some as thin as this. There are just too many inconsistencies with the old school dimensions to make a huge judgement. The way I see it is that if it’s too small for someone to feel comfortable with other 1/72 kits, then maybe display it on its own or with the 1/100 ones. And if that’s still not good enough maybe use it with the tomy tech ones, but that’s getting a bit extreme

Regult scout with Regult makes a whole lot more sense... Or with a destroid... But I think the idea was to bump up sales by smuggling a toy very few people would buy with a toy lots of people would buy even at an inflated MSRP because it came with some other toy.

I have to agree. There’s a lot less risk if they double it up with a main character mecha than if they released it on its own or with other mecha that may not have sold as well in Japan. I think the U.S. market is a different thing and I have a feeling that we tend to like the baddies a bit more over here.

the other night a bunch of gundam kit went on preorder at the p-Bandai U.S. store and out of all of them the Efreet Jaeger sold out the fastest. I know overseas it seemed like the pale rider variants and the double o kits sold faster, but over here the zeon suit went first night. So maybe that might give Bandai something to think about if the question of more Zentradi mecha getting produced and available to the U.S. market

Funny thought-if you are left handed, do you pilot left handed so you'd also hold the gun on your battroid as a lefty? 😛

Maybe the casings being the size that they are when they pop out empty may have enough weight to do some damage if ejected in the wrong direction. So maybe even lefties get trained right. That and I think a lot of the controls are set by computer memory for complex arm and leg movements, so it may be more point and shoot with an on screen reticle, at least with the old school tv suits. The movie and later series have thicker arms and legs on the pilot suits which seem to allow for more personal control between the pilot and machine.

either that or they listened to the stereotypes set by the first Star Wars movie and felt that a left handed military might not be able to hit their targets
