Not a big fan of how the regult looks, but that glaug actually looks pretty good. Maybe they’re gonna do the power armors well

Looks really good so far.

Slayers was such a good show. I loved that goofy 90’s anime adventure formula

He doesn’t really fit most of the iconic type of main hero, but I think that he fits for this type of character

I think overall it looks better than the kc toys, just hope the paint job looks a bit better on the final version. Also curious about price since they usually do more premium higher price items

Actually these old msia figures are only a bit over half the height compared to the robot spirits counterparts. There were some msia figures that had a slightly larger size, but I never got those, just the little guys. And yeah toy price inflation is pretty significant these days, so I get a bit choosy with the robot spirits and usually only buy my favorites like the gp01 that big dino is pretty cool, but I have no idea where to put it. I tend to rarely buy large items these days due to limited space, but I do admire the big stuff

Figured this would be the best place for this kit.it’s a bit late for April fools jokes, but there’s an actual preorder for it

I like the thick legs on this in battroid mode and the nose looks like it probably has a removable cone for an armor set. The chest stripe is very boxy though kinda like the old school toy

They might honor the shipping, but the cost will probably be added in the item itself

Yeah, I watched that preview and felt the same. I like that he’s tough, but not Superman tough and gets injured but heals up in a way that still looks like it hurt.

I’ve done that back in the day. I had made the mistake of using dull coat over a kit after finishing it. Then since I found some cool decals I put those on over the dull. The microsol leveled it, but it did still silver. There was an older hobby forum that I checked on and they recommended the pin poke method. It saved that kit. It also is a good method when laying decals over rivets or small holes and lines on the surface. The real grade Char Zaku has a bunch that go over odd surfaces and that pin method really works wonders for those surface details. Most of the time you won’t even see the pin prick and after some top coat the pin marks are gone

Was packing away some stuff and reorganizing. Found some of my old gundam msia action figures.did some quick weathering on the ones in the top picture back in the day. The bottom picture we’re all custom painted other than char in the background. I used to love these little guys back when they came out

I think if it was closer to 60 bucks I’d probably be ok due to inflation on things, but for over a 100 bucks it’s a bit too higher to justify. It’s it like this version transforms or comes with an awesome bike or has every damn sword in his arsenal with effects parts

It’s very confusing trying to figure these things out from the anime magic going on. I always thought chest as well. Watching the episode with Max and his future wife fighting in the hospital, it’s not even clear how they enter and yet when they exit there is a large amount of overhead that has a large door that opens directly above them . I always figured that may have been on one side of the chest. I guess I should know by now not to trust anything in the anime. is there a reference as to how the city looked after transforming, since the buildings would have been sideways if they never moved. I know it shows things shuffle about during the transformation, but it’s been a while and didn’t realize how much of the city would have to be reoriented. I kinda thought only a few buildings, but if they’re all in the legs then it would probably be every building

It was the style back then. I kinda get confused sometimes on which of them came first. Eventually there was Equilibrium and quite a few other stylized long leather jacket acrobats. The comics had a lot less of that attitude and style though, and the current mcu has a very different style, but still feels a bit like some of the extreme stuff from the older 90’s even with the more serious movies and I’m curious to see if this turns out more late 90’s style or modern or trash like morbius or if they try to keep things a bit more grounded. I’d be super surprised if they went with a more grounded approach and they probably will end up more similar to the older movies than the old comic stuff.
