STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2
Big s replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Is the bandai 1/6 scale Stormtrooper a kit or figure? -
I think it's the same an the agn figures in the same scale. I saw the pictures at the tag hobby site on the takara/tomy section for the hobby show. They also look like they have those same info cards. I can't read Japanese so I can't give a great rundown on all that's there, but there are pictures. Wave also has some new 1/24 scale kits like a burglary dog and marshy dog and another scopedog variant with sitting and standing Fyana figures shown on the dengeki hobby site.

I love those character kits. -
Looks like the arctic gear line is making a comeback. I don't know if they are the same 1/48 scale, but I'm very interested. Also more wave 1/35 kits like the scopedog red shoulder custom and the one I was really hoping for, the blood sucker. I really don't think that one has ever had a plastic kit until now. It's gonna be some great times for votoms fans with kits and toys in various scales.

I like the look of the mg gm sniper 2 from 0080.

I'll answer those in the votoms thread if you want to be more specific.

I didn't think about it until the hmr dougram, but man I would like the treatment they gave macross recently in the hmr line. Imagine not only legious, but tread and even enemy mecha.

Well the armor looks like it's all one color and all the other parts are probably dark grey for the joints and Max factory usually puts in waterslide decals. Judging by the plamax chamber from gargantia on the verdurous planet, the other parts may be in color and it probably has light gimmicks like the other pacific rim kit.

Dougram is an odd choice. I thought they would do that in the robot spirits line instead. Anyway this is not the death of the macross line. I just was wondering if bandai is trying to get revenge somehow against fasa at this point over the old battletech thing.

The bretai was teased as a sh figuarts. Since so far the web exclusives have been recolors with a similar pattern maybe a normal max1a then maybe a kakizaki 1a would be a web exclusive. I have a feeling web exclusives will only come up once in a while like one or two a year, but the line is still new so that may be wrong.

I would hate for it to end at such a crappy note and hope we get a great ending film.

Anybody have a 1/72 vf-1 bandai kit to throw away? Need
Big s replied to Gatsu's topic in Model kits
I think I said it before, but future is just an acrylic gloss with soap and water for the most part. -
It can sometimes be just the seller having a higher price. You can sometimes get info about the items depending on the description. Although if it is the same product it's very common to find multiple prices for the same item on Amazon and e bay and other multiple seller sites.

The Spartan looked complete in the teasers so hopefully that will be soon. The other pics with the other destroids looked like they could also be up soon. The n ger movie version looked a bit rough around the joints and was probably a proof of concept, but may also come up soon. All I have seen for the q rau has been a teaser picture, but bandai may surprise us all and give us all we want and more.

They've been talking about the spinoff for a while and during one of the panels at the long beach comic con yesterday the writer for the Harley Quinn comic (I forget his name) said that after the premier he attended for suicide squad Margot Robie asked what she could do to make her more like his comic in the future.

We were at the Long Beach Comic Con yesterday and actually spotted more than a few Barb cosplays. My daughter only saw one or two Elevens.

I watched it and can't decide if I hated it, but I stuck around for every episode thinking I would miss out on something. I like that comment about wishing the studio would go bankrupt, but I would rather see the studio learn from the complaints and change art direction completely. I may be mistaken, but I think this studio had far better looking shows before this.

Big s replied to Gatsu's topic in Model kits
That may be my ignorance of what humbrol meant by having an acrylic gloss coat with an enamel substrate. I was under the idea that they made a product that somehow has a majority acrylic, but had a small amount of enamel. Sorry about passing on my own personal confusion. -
Just watched the pilot and loved it. Out of the three pilots they want me to vote for this was the most entertaining. The tick seemed like it needs some work and may have been the roughest of them, but jcvj is a win.

So what does it mean when the humbrol acrylic says enamel substrate on its product details. -
I like the open palm hands as well and think all options should be included. For a while the gm ova kits had trigger fingers, grip hands, open palm, and closed fist hands all included. Even the feet had seperate soles to the bottom of the feet. Those days are gone though.
