General 1/18 Scale Figure and Toy Thread
Big s replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
They look great, who’s actually making these and has there been a price set for them and any idea of when preorders go up? Sorry for the question jumble, just way more excited about these than most other properties right now. -
I hate the idea of bootlegs, but I just can’t afford $100 plus shipping or $134, plus a little less shipping. I’m totally priced out on these

General 1/18 Scale Figure and Toy Thread

Yay!!!!!, I heard there was something coming for Battlestar Galactica, and I’m super happy with that scale. The figures look great and the viper looks awesome. Maybe a cylon fighter as well🤞 -
Looks like the Muppets have been around so long that they had to replace their Captain America as well

I get the feeling that the universe will come to an end and a new beginning and Keith will still be there smoking a cigarette looking like nothing surprises him
-
I keep thinking that we should be on the lookout for Keith Richards, but he seems to have made some type of deal for immortality.

It’s definitely more than threes these days, we’re having constant RIP threads here. Just out of this week, there’s been Ozzy The Hulkster, Theo for ones that made our lists. Outside of that there were others that are somewhat lesser known to us old school folks, some comic book legends and Authors as well and we still got a couple of days to finish the week
-
Don’t we already have a thread for these uglies
-
Here’s the BBTs price, and not really surprising since the Japanese price is so high. Just makes me really worried for when there’s a figure that I really want in the future
-
My favorite off that album is Supernaut. And the cover of that song by 1000 Homo Dj’s is amazing as well.
-
Rogue was getting up there as well, but I don’t think it was over $100 on a preorder sale. That $103 price on these are with a discount for the preorder, I’m sure there’s probably somewhere else that has them a little cheaper, but not by a lot
-
I’d prefer a figure to go with it, but it is still kind of a neat add on for a little display with the kit
-
Unfortunately HLJ has them for $103. Which probably would be much more from an American place like BBTS, wouldn’t be surprised to see $130
-
Sounds more complicated than the VF -1. Can’t wait to see it finished
-
That looks great, thanks for posting

Who took care of Michael Blanc after Jessica Blanc died?

Thanks for clearing that up -

I kinda figured that, but was just wondering if maybe there’s was something more to it, like certain fleets had a different uniform or something. I guess not -
When there are a lot of runners, I usually make a few alphabetically ordered stacks if the runners aren’t made just for specific sections to make it easier to get to. there are a few kits that have parts separated for certain steps though, like their VF-1 battroid that mostly had them set up that way. It made it easy to organize that one. there’s also the option of reading the manual for the section you’re working on and just grabbing the necessary runners for that particular section.

I’ve been rewatching Frontier on Hulu and noticed something I either forgot or didn’t pay attention to when I watched it as a bootleg years ago. It was the episode where they go down to that planet and Temjin hijacks a Queadluun Rhea. The thing I didn’t notice was that the Zentraedi weren’t just in movie style designs, but a mix. Most including seemed like they were wearing movie style body armor and those seemed to be with Temjin’s revolt. The others mostly had Tv style light body armor and maybe a guy or two wearing long coats like in the og show. I guess I had always assumed they just went for Dyrl designs for them from 7 on. But this kinda threw me off a bit. Was wondering if there’s an explanation behind all this or not? -

Is it Michael, or Michelle? been rewatching frontier lately and my old bootlegs were a bit confusing over spelling. They’d waffle back and forth. The Hulu subs spell it Michel and it sounds like it’s pronounced like Michelle. I know here in the States it’s extremely rare to be named Michelle and be male, but he does seem to have a French last name, so I wasn’t sure on which name it’s supposed to be. -
That’s definitely one that’s probably true and just as funny as how Dave from Foo fighters gets a bus to do free concerts around certain overly religious protests. I like that some of these guys can find fun non violent ways of dealing with things. I think the real question though isn’t wether it happened with Ozzy, but if he knew it happened, like maybe he accidentally joined the march not realizing that he was protesting himself

Yeah, Iceman looks far better than I expected, although I kinda wish it was a two pack with a non iced figure of him. I actually kinda like the head a lot on the Punisher. As far as the outfit, I think it needs some work. Looks good from the side view, but straight on a little weird. I think I’ll just hope the figure is popular enough that they do a second version down the line, kinda like how they did a few versions of Wolverine and Cyclops

I’d love to hear the story on this beat club 1970 show. Some of the songs had very different lyrics, like Hand of Doom. Did they only have the outline written for those songs or did Ozzy just forget the lyrics? I know there are alternative versions on the demos, but wasn’t sure what was going on here.

Model kits have come a long way, even compared to the Bandai VF-1. But I still prefer non transforming kits. Most of my Gundam just seem to have lasted longer than most of my toys, probably due to lighter weight and simpler construction
