Definitely keeping up with the cool figures

I haven’t watched that in a couple decades. I think I always thought I was missing part 1and 2. Sorta like Leonard part 1-5

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Big s replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
I’ve rewatched that DYRL scene about a billion times trying to catch details about the Queadluun Rau for the hasegawa release of the kits to compare with the movie, and he’s definitely not a tall dude in the movie. The show he’s a fairly big guy, but movie version, it looks like he’s barely up to mid chest height to the VF-1, if not a little shorter. Not as bad as Dinklage choosing a fight with a six foot dude, but kinda close in comparison of wild scenes when you really pay attention. One of, if not the only examples of their height compared to a battroid and fairly close if not spot on to the size charts from the movie. So I’m just assuming that he probably is actually around a head taller than the folks under his command. Almost reminds me of the whole reason for promotions in Invader Zim, with the leaders known as the Tallest are actually just in charge because they’re taller than the rest -
I thought the point of banging a robot was that you wouldn’t have babies

It’s like he got a last name for a first name and a nickname for a last name. he was also pretty great on those recent snl sketches. I don’t really care for SNL these days, but a good host seems to bring out the best in this kinda lame cast

Ok, that’s not as bad, but that thing looks so cool extended that I can’t believe they’d leave out the pilots. Hope you can get your hands on some and if it doesn’t have a flight stand, then hopefully one of those as well. I have the hmr toy and that looks awesome in fighter mode, one of the few Valkyries that I prefer in fighter over battroid or gerwalk

I have it in my private warehouse at hlj but not in hand unfortunately. I’m gonna guess that it’s probably that same size box as the fighter, but probably close to twice as thick to make space for the fast packs. I might be over guessing that since it really only need space for I think one or two runners, but the fighter kit is pretty thin as is

Can the odd radar thingy fold up out of the way for it? sorry for the questions, it’s just odd that this one is definitely cooler in flight than on ground and odd that they left out pilots

Weird that it doesn’t have pilot figures. Does it even have a landing gear down set of parts?

Watched The Monkey on Hulu over the weekend. Lots of jokes and very entertaining death gags, but mostly a basic story that’s a bit too predictable which kinda takes out the tension.

There isn’t one quite yet, but Moderoid has been teasing theirs for a bitpersonally, I can’t wait to get them

Actually, they might do pretty well. Maybe not Leatherface. But the other two are quiet and have super catch up abilities. And they kinda seem to just get up after being shot, but angrier.

I do think they were better shown as hunting from the shadows, but reflecting on the second movie, they didn’t seem to shy away from frontal attacks. I don’t know if different types are really canon or not anymore or at all, but but I think the original type stayed hidden, while in the sequel it was a warrior type that fought without regard to personal safety. But that may or may not be an actual thing. Alien has shifting rules

You definitely did an awesome job with that old Imai kit. The paint job makes it look so modern despite its age.

I think I saw this last week at bbts, but I couldn’t justify anything near that price for being so small. Looks cool though -
Lovin it so far. Got me excited to get my hands on the upcoming moderoid kits

I don’t mind the androids being slightly stronger or able to do a bit more with computers and tech, but they are kinda showing them as near superhero and with odd abilities while connecting to electronics without even a connection that is a bit much. Near invincibility means less of worry about their survival in what’s supposed to be a horror story. I also don’t like that the human soldiers are chaotic idiots that will jump across a collapsing staircase without even setting up a way to return safely, let alone remember how to shoot a gun. But so far I do find myself enjoying the show and hope things get a bit better as it goes on rather than worse
