I’ve been trying to convince myself about HIDIVE as well. I’m not really wanting to pay for another service, but I’m more of a classic anime guy. I especially love 80’s and 90’s stuff. And really love mecha. The new anime just feels a bit dull to a guy like me and anything with cool mecha seems rare these days.

I guess it’s based off an older garage kit, then reproduced in plastic. Even though I know it’s not gonna pose too well I was surprised by how well it looks and ordered one . Who knows, maybe I’ll be surprised that it can actually bend those knees.

I just saw the kit for preorder, it’s a real beauty and the sculpt around the joints are really nice, but may prevent movement

Saw this teaser on taghobby. I doubt they will be as poseable as the action figures, but I’ve always wanted kits from the series. max factory and good smile have been getting some interesting liscenses for their kit lines

He never said no, and the movie implies that he said yes later

[R.I.P] Tanya Roberts - CONFIRMED DEAD
Big s replied to Old_Nash's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I really had my hopes up that she would pull through. -
This season was actually pretty good. I felt like the last one was a real drag. Too much drama and no laughs or action. This one felt pretty well balanced and found humor in what could have been a really depressing story. My favorite part without trying to give too much away was the “Listen to Dee” moment. It was cheesy, silly and just all around great.

[R.I.P] Tanya Roberts - CONFIRMED DEAD
Big s replied to Old_Nash's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Things don’t sound too good, but there’s always a chance for recovery. And if she does recover, then it will truly show that 2021 will be a great year. -
I’m not a fan of the dc movies, but I don’t get the hatred for this one. It has a goofy ending but other than that it’s not a bad movie. Definitely far from perfect, but not bad. I still think Man of steel is the worst of the dc movies followed by BvS then justice league. So it’s not even in my bottom 5 because it’s also better than suicide squad and the Harley Quinn movie. Then again I did go in with really low expectations. And maybe that’s the best way to enjoy the dc franchise

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau

I don’t know about anyone actually dying from being digested. Wasn’t it some ridiculousy long time like a century or something before that happens.- 1438 replies

Definitely Mary Ann.

I actually liked the show overall. I do think it started out strong, but loses it toward the end. There’s some interesting stuff going on but doesn’t seem handled well. I do however want to see more. I personally think the good outweighed the bad

I do like those old Skid Row songs. 18 and life, and slave to the grind were my favorites

Thanks Atheonyirh, that worked. I’m actually surprised at how much they don’t include on Hulu compared to hbo Max. I’ll probably check out the movie a bit later. I’m going in with low expectations, like with most of the dc movies. I figure that if I don’t hype myself then it won’t be so disappointing. I did the same with the Harley Quinn movie and I had fun with that, so maybe it’ll work with this as well.

We have hbo max on Hulu, but can’t find the movie on there. Finally finished Lovecraft country though
-
It would probably be getting up there in cost with shipping and the kit being priced around $25 or more. Although I do think the hguc actually looks a bit better than the re 100 version. I just really think this should have been a standard release, but it is what it is.

Definitely a legend. From real life to movie depictions to flight simulators, his accomplishments will never be forgotten

They’re pretty much just trading kits. The front missions just came out and the xenogears are the second line. They are simple fun kits, but require painting and seam work in a few spots. The front missions kits have some of the seams in less noticeable spots, but the xenogears series have more noticeable ones. They are great for custom paint jobs

Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002
Big s replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The gp03 was up for a day or so before selling out. I do think a full dendrobium set is in the future though. It will probably be a web exclusive. If I had the space I would buy it, but for me I’ll just have to do with the gp03 alone.- 6017 replies

RIP Hugh Keays-Byrne (The Toecutter/Immortan Joe MAD MAX)
Big s replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Such an interesting career playing the main villain in the first mad max and also a completely different main villain in the newest mad max. Both entertaining and definitely not mediocre. -
I’ve seen a lot of those hexa gear items, but didn’t realize the pilots were kits. I honestly thought they were prepainted action figures
-
I preordered those little xenogears kits last week and am really glad they’re being produced. Looks like they’re doing a few series in this style since the just did a front missions set. Hopefully these little kits do well and we get more on the way
