There’s actually a thread somewhere for it, but I never see it. Personally I think a lot of us just see things like that here or in the model section whenever someone posts it in random threads more often than its dedicated thread. Unfortunately things are very complicated for toy collectors and model builders since the majority of our favorite things come from countries that are affected. At least HLJ is ok with holding our stuff in the Private Warehouse, but then there’s the question of how long is this situation gonna last? Will it be months or even years? Things had already been going up in prices and now these new tariffs are probably gonna pump up the prices even more. But hopefully this will kinda blow over soon and things can get back to normal. I got a big backlog already and when my stuff over there finally gets shipped, I’m gonna have an instant backlog boost

Sounds like one of the main methods of cat distribution. Gotta watch those items on the shelves. Cats are notorious for redecorating high spots

I love this toy, and it also makes me mad at the same time, because I hate that Bandai can’t make an anime looking kit of this design for the model builders. -
I’ll be posting some pics here and there for sure. I usually am loaded with ideas, but have terrible time management.

It still looks cool even without the diorama. Unfortunately, I didn’t finish in time. I got the majority of the hard work done, primed the model and got a base color and a rough camo on it, but ran out of time due to stuff around the house. But I still plan to finish it up since I got pretty far already. I was gonna add some body and arm stripes, and of course decals and weathering. then I gotta do the interior and pilot and a bit of weathering on the inside to make things look a bit lived in since the pilot face looks a bit on the aged side (the guy’s face in the box pictures has grey facial hair). I don’t think I want him that old, but I would like to try a little bit of grey streaks to give a been there done that kinda look I got a small base to attach the brass rods for a display and I want to do a sorta lunar surface kinda look. I also had scratch built a tower that I want to make look like a sorta communications use signal tower thingy. I’m just gonna take my time since I already didn’t make the deadline. I think if I had another week or two, I’d have had it finished, but as a consolation, I get to take my time at this point

I usually luck out there and haven’t had a problem with their Macross stuff, but did not luck out on the Gallus J. I guess I’ll just have to try a stateside place

If I tried to make phaser sound with my mouth, I’d probably sound like that drunk trying to sing along to a Mercyful Fate concert at the high note.

Oh, I guess I figured for a guy like me the pack gives the options that should already be included in the fighter kits.

Part of the og post seems to have disappeared. Originally Swann had made the comment that Global looked a bit like Tony Iommi. And somehow part of my reply post seems to have gone missing since I pointed out that it was the mustache and I had attached a pic of him before he did the added chin hair. it all probably would’ve made much better sense if things were attached and in full, but they seem to have come in kinda choppy. That and being a Metalhead would help as well

As far as super/strike weapons, it’s not too bad since they’re in the same box. But as far as packs, that would be difficult for the fighter since it would require new legs and possibly underside parts. As far as the battroid, it would be fairly easy since the parts like panels on the legs were made for swap outs

Hlj is often a jumble for a day or two after release. My notification came in at 2 am this morning, another friend of mine got a notification at 10 am

I totally agree. It’s adding a bit of cost for a redundant sprue. Maybe as a consolation it might be easy to do swappable battle damage

Probably just leftover parts from the standard VF-1 since those plates on the side of the leg were white. Just a way to add extra color separation, but causing some extra parts

That kinda stuff was definitely pretty common at the classic swap meets. Couldn’t confirm if it was a bootleg or not, because they also had plenty of ligit items there as well. But if you say they loved going there, I can pretty much guarantee that that’s where they at least picked it up from.

Odd items like that would occasionally pop up a swap meets or were gifted to me by someone that went to the swap meet. The 80’s swap meets were kinda exciting with the oddities that showed up. Never saw one of these toys though, but I remember a transforming Orgus toy way before I ever knew what Orgus was

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I had too much fun just doing my test fitting with it and seeing the range of motion of the joints. A few loose bits, but a spot of glue can easily fix those

There were actually a couple movies, the one I remember most was Escape From LA Had to look up the song, it was Sweat. It did however take them a few decades to even stream their music. I think the only other holdout on streaming has been Samhain, and I’m still waiting on that since my tapes all died

Finally got a chance at the new episode. Now that the human soldiers are out of the way, I kinda like it better. Those guys deserved to die for their absolute stupidity. There’s also a few concepts that I really wasn’t into the last couple episodes that are kinda growing on me the more I think about them. Anyway, aside from my odd theories I still kinda like the show despite certain issues. And another Head Banger to end the episode. Whoever did the soundtrack to this show is probably a huge metalhead.
