The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Don’t worry, knowing Hikaru, he’ll fall into it again and damage it for real -
Maybe all the pirates of our world actually ripped off the ones in this show since it takes place such a long long time ago. I mean, even Captain Jack Sparrow was in a ship advanced enough to have safety rails, even if the construction was sub par.

The whole mint thing is kinda slim as is, why not just invade a planet that is known to exist with a mint. And if security is the reason not to, they don’t really know what the mystery planet has as far as security. It also brings into question what the other secret planets had that was of value and if the mint even was the real treasure. I guess we’ll hopefully find out soon

I thought this had already been confirmed before the show even started. I didn’t realize anyone was still questioning this so long into the series

In this case it kinda does. It could end up the entire downfall of a show centered around it. It could be that thing that totally ruins an overall great show in the grand way that Gundam Unicorn totally flopped when its mcguffin turned out to be pointless piece of crap. A show with it’s decent characters, good music and a great look can easily be destroyed by simply being pointless. I’ve never forgiven Unicorn for letting me down so badly and now instead of seeing what I originally thought looked great, now I only see it for its massive flaws. I don’t want to rewatch it, because I never want to get to the end that let me down

This one looks good, I didn’t see any pictures though for sizes, but it looks fun -

Einhander was one of my absolute favorites when it came out. the Raiden model kit from plum gets an occasional rerelease and I’ve seen Ikaruga come up a couple times from Kotobukiya I Believe. Looked like a lot of fancy markings on the Ikaruga from what I remember. I don’t recall a Raystorm one, but I easily could be wrong.- 127 replies

I think that goes for every company. The transformation gimmick can and always will be something a bit complicated and for older designs like the VF -1, filled with compromises that a non transforming robot isn’t held back by.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I liked it , even though it’s a bit predictable and as you said repetitive. I always kinda wanted more of a conclusion to it though -
Just finished the new season of Squid Game. Definitely doesn’t have the impact that the first had. I still found it likable with its absurdity and goofy characters, but it’s one of those that seems like it may have been better if it just ended with the first season

And a reminder that their biggest customer is still going Macross free in the new year. It’s possible, but Big West would definitely gain money here, Sony doesn’t seem as much of a c..k blocker for anime, Disney is usually just ignorant about anime, but most evidence or speculation points to Harmony Gold because they’ve been the biggest roadblock for Macross for many years and decades despite introducing it to the U.S. in the first place

I don’t know so much about sexy, but at least he was still a cursed type of character. And his underlings we’re more zombie than clubbing fun time peeps The new ones all seem forever trapped in the perfect body with friends that are also in perfect bodies that might be allergic to daytime as their biggest weakness. They prey on people that end up just like them, spoiled and rich with forever beauty and no downside to being turned. I don’t know what they all do for money, but they all seem to support eachother and have endless supplies of leather and pleather, probably because they don’t have to pay for insurance

Definitely a go to for the Holliday, but that may be more due to a lack of competition than being the best for the subject

No sexy vampires in this one I guess. I’m fine with that. I like a vampire with an actual curse upon them rather than the modern no downside non monster vampire. The modern ones can’t go out in the day sometimes and other than that look hot and live forever, who wouldn’t want to be one of those, but nobody wants to be Orlok

I don’t know who that is, but it’s not Wheaton. Maybe his Italian stunt double

You should try water color pencils. They’re pretty cheap for a full set of colors and work very similar to color pencils when dry and can be used for washes when wet. Just do a quick flat coat if you use them like a pencil so it adheres to the surface and then another top coat to seal it in. They’re kind of a newer thing I’ve been playing around with lately after my daughter informed me about their existence

That’s hardcore bad luck, but at least things are just dirty and not melted. It’s gonna be a cleaning job for sure, but just keep in mind it could’ve been far far worse. I’ve even seen entire homes explode

It’s about time they made that official. He never looked like aquaman to me, but I think Lobo is a perfect casting decision

I remember being super excited for this game when I saw some of the early images in a game magazine decades ago. I loved the artwork and music in the actual game. Lots of fun from what I remember
