I almost gave up on Vox Machina, but after the third episode it actually started getting more interesting although the comedy was still more cringy than funny. Overall I started really liking it

I can deal with an unlikakle character as long as they’re interesting, easier than a boring character that’s just boring like the majority of the rogue one cast.

Even the people that have seen it seem to dislike it on YouTube and such, but it seems like the more rational folks here appear to enjoy it. I don’t have paramount and don’t know anyone that does, so personally I can’t judge for myself, but I only played the first couple games and am pretty sure I’d be ok with it since those games didn’t really get too into who the main character was anyway. I am curious about the show and maybe when paramount goes under the show will end up on a service I do have

More than likely hg kits upcoming for the Zakus. Looks like mostly shared parts with the basic origins kits. I was kinda hoping for an updated gouf or dom, but it’s probably too soon in the story line. I do hope for an origin style gelgoog one day

I watched that Bubble movie on Netflix and really didn’t care much for it. Some scenes have parts that were funny, but most of the jokes were more cringy than funny. It also goes on way too long and feels a bit like being tortured along with the onscreen characters. It’s basically a low budget less talented less fun ripoff of Tropic Thunder all the way to the same basic ending just without the redemption of the self centered characters

I still gotta say that I would watch southern cross over the majority of the dull anime we get these days. In fact maybe I’ll start rewatching soon

I kinda think it was the later explanation. There was the Zaku Marine and a similar Zaku mariner. Either way both Zakus seem designed more for amphibious use. I still think the gelgoog seems mainly designed for space. Otherwise the basic Zaku F2 from that series would be a marine Zaku since it fills those roles. But that Zaku never got that kind of name the U.S. marines were kinda set up to be to be deployed by ship to shore along with their air support. Not saying there aren’t ground bases. Maybe the creators just watched aliens as were thinking of colonial marines. I never read any of the later comics that may have explained that, but as far as when 0083 came out in the early 90’s , I don’t think they had a real reason. It’s kinda tough finding a lot of English explanations of older designs

After seeing the Japanese version, it’s hard for me to be as excited about the original American intro

I find the hmr line a bit more fun. The Arcadia May have perfect transformation, but the later hmr vf1 was definitely more poseable In battroid mode, especially with the retracted wing attachment. It can lift the leg without the intake getting in the way of the wing. The size is more manageable for anyone lacking space especially if you gotta have the monster. The non transforming ones are definitely the best in the line with not having extra parts laying around and being super cool to mess around with. And the markings are painted on , but may not be 1/100 percent perfectly colored in some cases. The Arcadia’s are perfect transformation and a bit bigger if that’s what you’re into though, but I kinda feel like if you really want a bigger perfect transformation then may as well go with the Bandai dx vf1

While I was cleaning up a few things, I found a few kits that I kinda forgot that I had. One of those was the hguc gelgoog marine. It kinda got me wondering a question I had awhile back. Why is it called marine. It doesn’t seem to be a water specific unit like all the other mobile suits with the marine title. As far as I know cima’s group never even went to earth and these gelgoogs seemed to be set up for space use. I think they only showed one on the ground at the end of 0083 with a captured unit that may have just been one pieced together after the final battle was over

I kinda get the feeling that the mecha really was mainly designed for riots rather than all out war. Maybe since the planet was so far from earth and really seems to only have one major city, they didn’t worry about other nations or worlds that would start a war with them. The light Logan may have just been a patrol vehicle and spartas may not have worried about heavy protection in two of the modes since they didn’t expect much more than small arms fire. The personal armor probably was designed to take those shots and of need be it could transform into the more protective robot mode in case things got out of hand. The auron seemed to be developed out of necessity after realizing they needed more than just patrol and riot vehicles

That’s why they wore absolutely awesome armor. Say what you will about the mecha, but the armor was beautiful even the ones the bad guys were wearing

Maybe it’s more that this show is one of the best things on paramount. I don’t have the service, but the other shows don’t get mentioned anywhere other than the sci fi shows that seem to get mostly complaints. The other stuff may be even worse off as far as viewership that people just don’t bother

I’m not loosing hope on it. There’s a lot of things going on in the world of macross and this release honestly fits for me better than the yamato since I don’t have a huge amount of space. Keep those fingers crossed and make sure to upgrade your luck and stamina, maybe lower the intelligence and strength a bit to compensate temporarily

I don’t think they would show them if they weren’t included

They do love to tease. Hopefully it’s happening and sooner than later. I’m still very hopeful

I recently finished the second season and it gets even better. I like watching something a bit more lighthearted afterwards though, since it can be a bit heavy sometimes

That would be nice

It’s kinda confusing as far as who owns what rights these days. Bandai had the transformable 1/72 and some 1/100 fighters. Hasegawa does some 1/72 fighters and wave does others. Wave had the 1/72 destroids and parts forming 1/100 vf1s. I honestly don’t know who can do what these days. It’s kind of a weird mix. There are a few others I didn’t even mention because it’s getting a bit all over the place. I still miss the Tony tech line and really wish those continued
