Let’s be realistic, they’re probably mostly the parents of the 20 something’s that were trying to introduce Star Wars to their younglings. They’re probably still trying with the grandkids though

I was expecting structure arts trading kits, but I kinda figured they’d be further down the line. I loved their Front Missions kits and I’ll probably get these since they’re starting with more classic designs and hopefully they show some improvements since this will probably be their third line. first set is a box of four kits at Hobbysearch was showing for about $80, Hlj has em for $94, but I figure shipping and taxes and such will probably play a bit here and there. some entertaining accessories and of course different ways to customize em. figure I’d start a new thread since they weren’t Kotobukiya kits and I couldn’t find an alternative section for them. I’d imagine that they’re probably gonna make quite a few sets since they did so many for front missions and Armored Core seems a bit more popular these days.

Other than a couple of Krypto scenes, I kinda doubt there will be much of the comedy to get in the way of Superman. Of course it’s too be expected that there will definitely be some, I just don’t think that the drama will be contrasted as much or as often even though it’s guaranteed to be there at times

Definitely a heavy emotional episode. But now there’s only one to go supposedly and I guess the big stuff may have to wait till next season whenever that is

It could be that these aren’t finalized and were just showing them in standard green till things get closer to actual production, or they may just be option parts to allow you to build and paint those specific ones

Still weird to think that he has a pretty good chance of being Bill Burr’s brother

With AI going the way it is, I wouldn’t doubt that a lot of projects will end up animated down the line.

Sometimes when extra part sets don’t exist, it’s a good time to check the bargain areas for kits you might not be at all interested in and scavenge them for parts since you may actually get everything you need dirt cheap. Things like older small high grade kits or even some of their newer stuff goes on sale

I’d rather they did the colors in dull or at least just gloss, but the metallic and odd color choices are the things that bug me.

I’m betting they’ll still be metallic. They have an odd obsession with metallic paints. Kinda like a child that got into Warhammer and found out there were metallic paints and is still stuck in that “every thing must be metallic” phase. As far as the pink gun strap, that’s like asking why with any of their odd color choices. Why metallic bubble gum on the light armor?, why purple where it’s supposed to be dark grey? Why does the heavy grunt have metallic brown armor instead of greyish tan? There’s so many odd color choices that I’m impressed that Kamjin got away with metallic green instead of yellow or any other random color of the rainbow metallic

I don’t think the new republic really had prison cells, just transport ships where prisoners escape easily and become pirates or First Order members. I think Binx and Deedra met in transition and that’s where Phasma was conceived. that’s how Phasma gained her luck abilities, unfortunately Dedra’s bad luck powers counteracted Binx’s doof luck powers.

Yeah, the Actic gear was pretty cool and max factory had an older toy and I think cm might’ve had one as well

Sorry, I was half asleep and probably thought you meant standing to the left rather than pictured on the left. Not sure about it, but it does have that kind of battler custom sort of look. and I’m not really surprised that Bandai hasn’t done the bloodsucker yet. They only seem to be doing scopedog variants and Wave had their kit, max factory also did a recent kit and theirs the toy, so I’d imagine it’s gonna be a while if they ever decide to do a non scopedog and I don’t really think Votoms was a flop. Gundam was a flop in its og run and got cancelled and same with southern cross and a lot of other anime in those years, but the creators always expected Votoms to get cancelled and they were surprised after each one of the story arcs that they were able to continue. Supposedly that’s why they planned the show in that way to have an ending in case it ever got the early axe. I think their success even surprised themselves

Surprised that these weren’t first since the brownie in heavy armor is the first one ever shown in the series climbing out of a regult and that type of armor is very common with the regult pilots.

Senator Binx was too loyal to the empire to be imprisoned by them.

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post
Big s replied to Shawn's topic in Model kits
I think it was dengeki. I remember an article showing it and I really only bought the magazines with appendix items as add ons, (lots of cool add on parts for gundam and such like the GM wagtail parts) but I may be wrong about it and just got excited for Macross news. I believe it came out with the first rerelease of the Monster since they had to do some extra work with those particular molds and the article talked about the difficulties with that particular mold. If I remember the Monster didn’t come out with the first set of Macross rerelease kits due to those problems and came out the next big anniversary set -
Lots of new kits to feature

Looks like some kind of sniper custom. Can’t say I remember that one at all. Although I think the head should have its mid and short range eyes since the scope of the rifle seems connected to the head and would function as the extreme long range scope. Basically looks like it has redundant long range vision and no normal range vision and might just trip on a rock. Then again maybe on the other side of that scope is the short range lense Bandai really likes milking the Scopedog for any variants they can, but how about something else every now and then

I was kinda joking about her making that kind of comeback, but after reading this comment, maybe it’s a decent prediction. I’m gonna laugh pretty hard if there ever is another mention of the character

I didn’t know he had anything to do with Dr Strange. But I do think Gunn knows how to do comedic bits and somehow have great heartfelt moments. I think the inclusion of characters like Krypto and Guy Gardner are gonna give some little laughs here and there, but probably won’t rely on them throughout. I think Gunn will give us a more heartfelt Superman movie than the Snyder version. Gunn seems able to give some great moments while Snyder kinda has to force a moment and his films kinda lack heart. Not gonna say we won’t get a cheap laugh here and there though, but Superman historically has always had those kind of moments.

If it can rotate, it wouldn’t be too bad, but I doubt they could have easily molded the pads to the top and bottom pieces at that small a size. Not saying it couldn’t be done, just that it would take more creative engineering and might limit the bend of the arm.

Super glue is a little risky because if you build it up too much, it can be a pain to sand back down. It’s also more solid and can wear out a bit sooner. While something like a bit of gloss can be almost rubbery and give a little grip. I’d suggest an acrylic though since it won’t glue the parts like a lacquer might. And the gloss can always be reapplied if things do wear down. Just thin it with a bit of water and let it drip into the joint
-
I just used a little extra paint into the joint there. Gloss works pretty good as well, but those methods will only work if it’s not played with too much
-
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll probably check out as many builds of this as I can, just disappointed that I won’t be able to join in the fun
