    At this point I'm just ordering left overs from Rob. The casting bug might have bitten him again though, so we'll see. It seems that he was absent from the forums for a long while when I learned about what he has, but has posted in here recently. This really is the year of Macross, my first year on the forums as well.

    Long live the 1/55's. Curious mslz22, what paint are you using for the strike armor and for the Max's blue? The green looks awesome and your lines are so crisp! Also can you share your decal techniques? I went with some water slide decals from an eBay vendor for a Roy I did up recently and the white in the letters didn't come out well against the black stripe. I was lucky enough to stumble upon robsthingies.com and turns out Rob has exactly some of the parts I've been searching for in my current sig. Good luck and hope to see lots of picks of your progress.

    I'm blown away. Lyanna Mormont is just too bad ass to be contained! I probably shouldnt have follwed this up with Ep.13 of Delta, but I couldn't help myself. Ep.13, while I give it a positive vote, did not outshine that season ender. Goddam that was something.

    I just started playing through Macross Ultimate Frontier via a very compatible emulator that upscales graphics. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but again, I'm impressed. I do lament the lack of English (or even Spanish) localization. You start off playing through a few tv SDF scenarios. One level has you do some combat training against destroids which is quite easy, when all of a sudden Roy pops in as the Enemy Ace. Ha! I lasted maybe a 5 seconds and was blown away. I think it'll be a while before I'll be able to take him down, but I'm slowly getting a feel for the controls. This really makes hope for a Delta version - with, hoping against hope, localization.

    I actually appreciate the discussion as I'm thoroughly in the midst of this. I almost wish there was a "kids are in the room" button that would screen out gore and the sexual situations. That's one thing I appreciate about Western shows like the current Voltron and Avatar, the latter of which still brought some deep plots and storylines.

    Rhys Darby's (Murray) guest starring episode in the recent X-Files run was also my favorite of the bunch. If you haven't watched it, check it out.

    I don't remember much about the original character, but as a fan of Flight of the Concords, I recognized the voice immediately and now he's the highlight of the show for me.

The design is actually by a member of the Lego User Group of Los Angeles, Daikon Cat: http://www.daikoncat.com/macross-vf-1a-valkyrie.html I've taken some liberties mostly do to lack of correct parts often due to the wrong color. I thought the bionicle hands were fine and very evocative of the chunky monkeys, so I decided against building articulated hands.

    Gonna take a stab at this P-47 as part of my training so that I don't absolutely ruin the VF-4's when they come out. Curious if anyone here has tried doing panel lining with hand brushes before?

    I really enjoyed Jessica Jones for how different it was to Daredevil and every other superhero show or movie that we've gotten. Maybe I'm just hitting my saturation point. Regardless, Marvel on Netflix is quality stuff.

    I'm sort of relieved the offer expired as well. I started doing calculations about I could work it into the budget with the models coming along.

    I'll add my $.02. I don't mind there being same sex couples in the show. I welcome positive portrayals of people that care about each other, sexually or not. They will help me explain to my kids why it's ok that not all people are the same. My opinions might be a tad different on many things Macross as well. I take more exception to thinks like heads exploding in DYRL or the weird drugging, near assault of Mylene in Dynamite 7 movie. I was very disappointed in the latter as it's just a straight up fallacy. Most assaults aren't by someone of same sex or by women. Then again, seeing Mylene put into the position of a sex object on many occasions through the series was disappointing over all. Anyways, as long as a relationship is not just "fan service", but actually makes for a good story, than I'm all for it.

    Welcome Rob. I'll gladly take the blame for hunting Rob down. A google search led me to older forum posts which I hadn't stumbled on via my usual MWF navigation and he seemed to have much of the 1/55 customization stuff I'd been looking for.

    Phew, got my Glaug. I'd started getting worried since there were so many reports of deliveries and tracking notices, but I hadn't heard anything yet.

    Is there any word on which days and what times SK will be doing a panel on? I can't attend all 4 days, but could spring for the day the he'll be doing a panel. I haven't been able to find the schedule via the website yet.
